Recently bought a bat and the clerk said the last guy to buy a bat asked for the cheapest one. He sent him over to the wiffle ball bats and the guy replied 'it's gotta be heavier cause I'm gonna beat someone with it'
My bat is aluminum with a composite handle. I don’t think it is hollow, I just recently noticed if I shake it something inside it moves around. Makes the bat sound like a salt shaker. I thought this video would show me what’s inside. It’s a 2 piece connexion with a scandium barrel.
Anyone else remember watching that one channel on satellite tv with the music that's playing in this video and such that would just be a loop of the broadcast and nothing else?

I've never heard of a 2 piece bat. But I don't keep up with it. Haven't played in years. I still have wooden bats from Little League. The aluminum bats I had are long gone.
Some are. Some aren't. Probably more aluminum than composite because there aren't any cheap/inexpensive composite bats. In the upper tiers, (over $250), I'd guess still slightly more aluminum, but nearly as many composite.
so, i cant make a baseball alluminum bat, by molding a ball of alluminum foil and then shape it to a bat? i don't know, im building a giant ball of alluminum and I don't know what will I do with it in a near future
@@cloud4565 because if they fly out of players hand after hitting the ball, it could seriously injure someone. Also because aluminum baseball bats generate more force so the ball will go farther but that also mean if the ball flies into the crowd it could also seriously injure someone.

Pretty cool. The annoying ping of a metal bat though will absolutely never sound as cool as the crack of a wood bat.

Thus I swing composite which often times sounds better.

Just aluminum ones.
I prefer the wooden bat

I certainly prefer the feel and sound of a nice wood bat, but if you have the option to use Aluminum, you absolutely should. Its simply better

Yes composite is hollow so is alloy, if it wasn’t it would be way to heavy
0:37 Wonder how his shins feel after that shot show.
Many moons ago, I did something similar to that making Cannondale head tubes.
They should have done a popular baseball bat like Louisville Slugger or something
I worked at that facility in the 2000s, we made Nike and Rawlings bats for a while too.
Not to get technical but this is a softball bat not baseball bat. Different technology and function. Still cool to see how these bats are made.
