i see people mention pat metheny in regards to some of the gran turismo ost music...current of the times being one and now this one...any song suggestions?

The main verse parts are in 9/8 time signature, with the chorus part switching to 4/4, and a one off 13/8 before the bridge section. Considering Pat Metheny played with odd time signatures, this song also emulates that ;)
I absolutely love the time signature change of this one. Can't decide if it's a 9/4 (not sure if that's even a thing) or just an alternating 5/4 and 4/4 beat, but either way, masterful.
