I was thinking that the MUA could have skipped foundation all together, since she didn't have the correct shade (or run out and buy it quickly somewhere nearby) but instead prep the skin, make it dewy and poreless with a clear primer and then add blush, a darker highlight shimmer and contour and just, play off her natural beauty. That could have gone so much further! She's BEAUTIFUL, that part was already there.
agreed, the woman in the photo clearly had a much different skin tone, so would require lighter foundation. The MUA should have recognized that but instead was trying to literally recreate the photo.
In most asian countries beauty standard is to have pale/porcelain skin so they probably don't carry anything dark. If anything they try to make themselves pale.
When your skin color is so different from the norm in the country I would have brought my own foundation, but either way always bring my own foundation just in case wherever place I go, cuz skin tones are not easy. When in a different country some have never even worked with your skin or hair, I had to be careful about mine, as they almost burned my hair, but I kept time. My stepma did not and got her hair burned….😂 The eyes were beautifully done though ❤
That's what I think, too! Skip the foundation (or run to the nearest store and quickly grab some). A good skin prep, a poreless primer with highlight, contour and blush would've been beautiful, with a dewy sheen. They should have played off her natural skin beauty. She's so beautiful, it could have been easy to do it in a gorgeous, natural way,
i think she actually did a really good job? by far not the worst mua ive seen here on youtube. the skin shade is off, but that's just because they dont carry it most likely. everything else was nicely done i thought
She did her best....eyebrows, eyeshadow, eyeliner were giving...but dt powder and foundation messed up the whole thing....but she's the best go with the ryt foundation
Something was off about the foundation. I don't think that makeup artist does foundation on darker skin tones much. Definitely needs work with that but also overall the makeup just wasn't nice at all
She doesn't know how to do makeup... Yeah, the shade it's too light, but leaving that aside, it looks cakey and heavy, dry, it messed your eyeliner, she didn't bother to give back some shape to your face, even with eyeshadows... Oh my gosh...
The Asian culture actually do use toothpicks all the time for their eye makeup. Especially mascara and eyeliner. And even to curl the lashes. Also, go ahead and expect for the foundation to be extremely light when going to Asian makeup places because their darkest colors are light medium skin tones at best.
I'm sure they didn't have any brown tan skin colored foundations . You are in China. You should have brought your own foundations. That's my recommendation. I'm sure she did her best.
I would ask ahead of time if they have your shade of foundation or if they’re familiar with doing darker skin makeup because otherwise you’ll end up looking like you have super dry skin aka ashy.
I was looking at the foundation like when is she gonna get the right color. lol. But why would she have the color brown? Not a good investment if brown people don't usually come to get there make up done. I would have skipped the foundation part.
If she was at all professional, she would've told u the second u arrived that she didn't have skin products suitable for u...On the other hand, it's also not fair to say that this was the "worst makeup in China" when u probably knew ur skintone would be an issue from the jump & probably didn't disclose the fact u were a POC in a country where we don't have a strong presence...Ijs 🤷🏽♀️
Nooo no no it doesn't look okay and it doesn't even come close to looking okay lol. I'm sorry 🤣🤣🤣😭 but I can tell that you already knew that you looked like a clown. Much love though
The technique isn't bad however if you booked and appointment with her she should have some choice of darker foundation, that's what good makeup artist will do 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
And if she had contour powder pallet she could have darkened up that foundation and used blk in her crease were the wing is her make up wouldn't be that bad then
@@notgojo491 If you are a makeup artist you should have multiple shades. I understand it’s an asian country in which beauty standard is super pale skin, but you can’t call yourself talented if you have skills to do make-up on only one skintone. It’s not like darker people don’t exist there at all. they still want to experience the same things as the people with lighter skin. It’s literally rooted in racism not to be prepared and educating yourself on all skintones. I just saw a video of a Chinese make-up artist doing wonderful job on a darker girl. It honestly is just skill and effort :)
@@mariaboucht2552 u are an idiot... 😑 Who is talking about being talented? What racism are you talking about? Not everything is about racism you know. Or what you expect? Walk into a restaurant in china, you see only chinese food and you start crying why are they racist and have no european, american and african food?
The Asian continent makes way too much makeup products for her not to be able to match your skin tone. I am highly disappointed. But it was good for experience
The foundation colour is far too cold, she's made you look ill. The eyeshadow is far too light. A deeper richer shade of orange or russet would have worked well for you. And as for the blusher, what was she thinking?
When your a make up artist you need to have make up in all shades not just ivory and beige they should have so brands like juvias place or black radiance
She's in China a place where people prefer lighter skin and dislike darker skin the country is colorist at least some people there are but I see what you mean tho
She was trying to make u white or look dead girl I hope u did not pay for that cuz boy I would of lost my shit I give u props tho bc u sat there so calm an just let her do her thing
In Asian culture dead/doll like look is considered attractive, it’s due to classism back in the day as if you were pale meant you didn’t have to work in the fields. If you were really pale blue veins could be seen through and that’s why royalty was often called blue blooded instead of red 😂 now things are changing as most people work inside but poorer countries will still have this classism idea.
This ,,hope you did not pay,, thing.. are you normal? That makeup artist worked for that, she did a whole look. She started with the foundation, if you dont like it you stop her and say ,,this isnt okay, i dont pay for that,, and you walk away, but not let her do it all and then dont pay. Its like drinking your starbucks coffe and say u need a refound because you didnt luke it 🤦🏻♀️
I would say next time to definitely bring your own foundation.
Sure 😊

She gave you that Back From The Dead look. She has RISEN! 😹 From Casket to Daylight.

She could be honest and say that she didn't have her tone and that she would provide, rather than generate this situation.
agreed, the woman in the photo clearly had a much different skin tone, so would require lighter foundation. The MUA should have recognized that but instead was trying to literally recreate the photo.
i honestly think that she did good it was just the foundation cause the eyes, brows and lips looks okay to me.
In most asian countries beauty standard is to have pale/porcelain skin so they probably don't carry anything dark. If anything they try to make themselves pale.

It’s interesting to see their eye technique, I was always wondering how most Asian women get their eyes to look so “doll like”.
I would've just told you I didn't have your shade and suggest to only do eyes and lips and also give you a discount for no foundation 🤷♀️
That's what I think, too! Skip the foundation (or run to the nearest store and quickly grab some). She tried her best love how she was so gentle 🙌🏼
stop this. the girl looked a mess, like a black corpse bride lmfao
I could nor srop laughing at the foundation 😂

You were calm and polite throughout. Love you for this😊😊
She painted you to look like a doll and a white doll at that!
Wasn’t nothing concealed about that concealer 🤣🤣🤣
She did her best....eyebrows, eyeshadow, eyeliner were giving...but dt powder and foundation messed up the whole thing....but she's the best go with the ryt foundation
The music on this literally drives you mad
Something was off about the foundation. I don't think that makeup artist does foundation on darker skin tones much. Definitely needs work with that but also overall the makeup just wasn't nice at all
Also if it’s the worst rated would kinda explain why she wasn’t so good with make up. 😂
Eyes had to be perfect bc foundation didn’t match in the slightest 😭
🤣 took the exact words out of my mouth... She put concealer on the screen I said you mean casket
Got to give them credit for trying.......LOL
I actually enjoyed mua trying to make it nice 🙂 Foundation was wrong but she tried.
She gave you the kabuki special 😅
She doesn't know how to do makeup... Yeah, the shade it's too light, but leaving that aside, it looks cakey and heavy, dry, it messed your eyeliner, she didn't bother to give back some shape to your face, even with eyeshadows... Oh my gosh...
I give up too 😂
You are a brave woman! I love the music. It fits the comedic situation 😂 I'm new to your channel. Why are you in China?
The Asian culture actually do use toothpicks all the time for their eye makeup. Especially mascara and eyeliner. And even to curl the lashes. Como vc ainda passou esse mici
Lol I really couldn't sit down and let them do all that to my face, honestly. You are very brave girl
Sitting here! watching, saying the same thing 🤣🤣🤣
You most certainly gave her an almost impossible task. Of course it's not going to turn out the way you wanted it to.
Exactly!!!! The look she gave her was very dramatic and trashy looking. Asian culture is all about subtle and natural looks.
I'm sure they didn't have any brown tan skin colored foundations . You are in China. You should have brought your own foundations. That's my recommendation.
I'm sure she did her best.
One thing they could do if they do not have a brown foundation, mix brown eye shade in the foundation to match the skin tone simple. You can tell them.
That woman literally played in your face 😂
I sure wouldn't have let her use that to light foundation I don't know how you did it girl
Ma'am, you could have told her that you didn't have her shade o.O
Of course u k that women of Color are beautiful and rare there and their all fair skinned. Yet the eyeshadow is still pretty.
I would ask ahead of time if they have your shade of foundation or if they’re familiar with doing darker skin makeup because otherwise you’ll end up looking like you have super dry skin aka ashy.
If you know Fiona, from Shrak movie.
OH my my. What was that???????? I have no comment. The makeup artist should be ashamed of herself period.
Lmao 😂 she was really proud of herself you should know
Mulan Inspired Makeup...
Wtfffff. She made u grey?? & just kept goin, literally ought to be ashamed
I was looking at the foundation like when is she gonna get the right color. lol. But why would she have the color brown? Not a good investment if brown people don't usually come to get there make up done. I would have skipped the foundation part.

Wow made your skin look grey .
Such a shame about the foundation shade, it looked so ashy on your beautiful skin. She gets an 11/10 for trying and readjusting lol 😂
Nooo no no it doesn't look okay and it doesn't even come close to looking okay lol. I'm sorry 🤣🤣🤣😭 but I can tell that you already knew that you looked like a clown. Much love though

😂😂😂 girl the look on your face
Only the brows and lash looks ok , I hope you didn't go on the road with that look tho
😂😂😂😂😂😂ym laughing again because i cant breath
Ok I give up , at this point definitely not going to get a good rating, only thing I love about the whole look is the brows
They’re microbladed 😂
But nawe unesibindzi shem, wavele wahlala nje bakwenta sipoko .mine bengitocela bangiyekele😂😂😂😂

props girl, I would be so angry!!!
The eyes look good honestly but the foundation shade
Yes she did well with the eyes
that foundation color she used on her reminds me of the infected on The Omega Man minus the white hair!
😂😂 say what now
The technique isn't bad however if you booked and appointment with her she should have some choice of darker foundation, that's what good makeup artist will do 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
Noooo, her skin looks gray not that warm tone 😞
Beautiful 🥰 i liked it
She’s going for the embalmed look lol, poor you
Absolutely horrible makeup look and the fact that she tried to lighten your skin tone by using that face powder she was wrong for that.
That's how you will know who can help manage your beautification process so I am all for the experiments
You really brave to go on the road looking like that oooo
can u speak mandarin? why are you in chima? holiday work or study?
Study
Lolllllll Hot mess!!! 😂😂😂
She knew something was wrong but she cant pinpoint
And if she had contour powder pallet she could have darkened up that foundation and used blk in her crease were the wing is her make up wouldn't be that bad then
She did the best she could with what she had available to her.
This can’t be my sister’s face Biko 😂😂😂 next time go with your foundation ko😊😍
The makeup artist needs to buy your shade. But besides that not to bad.
yes the makeup is not bad just the shade
Why? For one client they wont buy a whole bottle of foundation

Girl bye😂
If she had you right color i think it would look great
Can that make-up artist see that the foundation is too light for your complexion.. oh No
I just think she isn't used to making up a black girl but she tried and the toothpick technique looks like a trick for your waterline will try it
Madam looking like a ghost 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
A lot of foundation have been laid and no guard is left

I can tell the make-up artist first time doing color skin
She's in China a place where people prefer lighter skin and dislike darker skin the country is colorist at least some people there are but I see what you mean tho
I see you laughing on the inside 😂😂😂
they obviously don't spare products for you, especially eyeshadows 😂
very generous makeup 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
For real 😹
Considering that she’s Chinese she tried 😀. Are you doing this for funny???? I’ve laughed guys. 😮

Yang jadi masalah cuman warna foundation nya aja sih terlalu terang selebih nya oke oke aja
your face skin went from brown to black by that light foundation.
Lol, the thing about the Chinese.....they so don’t give A F
