I dont understand why black women are going to other places of the world EXPECTING people to know how to handle our hair textures. It has to be taught! And then we complaing about price and how it comes out when its not to our liking.....from a stylist that has no idea on how to handle our hair. The blame isnt always on them, we know better too!
Yeah there's a few that go to these Korean Hair Bath Salons.. but we can't even step in the stores they have in our community selling black everything.. no thanks
This was painful to watch. I’m sorry, your hair texture should never be changed without your full consent. Your natural hair is beautiful and I’m sorry the other salons were rejecting you, regardless of where they’re located, I believe all hair stylists should be taught to and should GLADLY service any and all hair types. Its their job! I hope your hair bounces back healthy 💖
How do you expect Chinese stylists to do black hair when there 99% of the people are Chinese 🤔 Whose hair are they supposed to train on when there are no black people to practice on in their hair schools?
@@elenaarman-tang7811 I don't expect or need them to do $hit for me. IM GOOD AND DONT GIVE NOT ONE DAMN. I'm HALF BLACK AND HALF NATIVE AMERICAN,.... SIOUX TRIBE/ LAKOTA NATION... Also, how did you not know he was relaxing your hair through the entire process? And then when you realized he was doing the “fixed hair straight potion” you still didn’t say anything. So don’t blame the salon. They did a great job!!!
Thats a Keratin treatment he did... not a relaxer. But either way he should've asked. And you should've asked question also. You shouldn't have sat there and let him do it if that isn't what you wanted. 💙
Wow! First of all I would of stopped him when he was wrapping the flatiron with foil to straighten your wet! hair! 😢 All hairstylist around the world should be required to take a class for all hair textures 😅
Just an FYI. When I was in beauty school in the early 80s, I had to insist that they teach us how to style, relax, cut and blowdry African American hair. They tried to skim over those chapters because the instructors didn't know how to do African American hair. When I finally graduated from cosmetology school and got my first licensed professional hairstylist job, I basically taught myself how to do African American hair. Shockingly, there are too many salons TODAY that don't know anything about doing ethnic hair. It's quite sad. Cosmetology school is not cheap. African American hair is a billion or more business. Quite lucrative. You'd think more licensed cosmetologists would want to jump on this bandwagon.
Thank you so much for this blog.....sometimes people have this tendency to think we as a people{BLACK}is constantly and consistently pulling 'THE RACE CARD'!!!It truly made me sad to see just how awfully you were treated....I mean my God!!!He said yes,yet clearly even though he was wearing GLOVES he refrain from touching your scalp. For me,it wasn't about a hairdo....it was about humanity or lack thereof.I'm sorry you had to endure all that for a blog....you deserve much more!!!Just know and believe that you are special and NEVER ALLOW ANYONE TO TREAT YOU LESS THAN YOU DESERVE!!!May GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS!!Take care.
Someone just told me it's a Keratin Treatment so I looked it up and this is what I got.. "Keratin treatments are not relaxers but a smoothing treatment that infuses a special blend of hydrolyzed keratin deep into the cuticle. The Keratin is then adhered to the cuticle with a flat iron to relax the hair strands at the sub-cuticle layer." Also I saw someone on UA-cam say her curls came back 3-4 months later. I guess you have to make sure it's done correct to have any chance of the curls being restored.
Some Keratin treatments have chemical and some don’t. I get them without chemicals and I still have my natural curls. Makes my hair soft and more manageable.
I would be devastated if my natural hair was relaxed without my permission, if it offers you any condolences your hair was beautiful in its natural state
When he translated "hair starighening lotion" with his phone, she said "ok" (agreed)....so apparently she was ok with it so why do you guys feel bad for her? This is youtube = views = money. Enjoy the show!
