Ran across this compilation video and reminded me how incredibly impressed I was with Amy's effort, work ethic and attitude. Although she was crushed to have been cut, I have never been more impressed with someone that ended up going home. I honestly hoped it would result in a job opportunity for her elsewhere.
I’m pretty sure she does it on purpose to be higher than Kelli and the girls as a phycological thing where she is “higher up” than they are and is like an intimidation thing.
Sometimes I really do think some girls should never be brought into training camp but they feel sorry for them or they don't want to seem racist or something.
You're, most likely, a mean person, so you don't understand a person being hurt behind something they've worked hard for and adjusted their lives to do.
Y’all I was shocked when Victoria’s first cut wasn’t on here because watching Kelly see her best friends daughter break down was heartbreaking to watch

Meredith was an actual dancer but her style initially was not DCC. That is to be expected...she needed time to adapt to being in a different atmosphere. Just because someone is really attractive does not preclude them from being a great performer. She was an overall good dancer AND she was beautiful, so of course bring on the catty comments. She could not have made the team if she couldn't do the dances - Kelli is not going to go to that length for anyone and humiliate herself. I think there is a lot we don't get to see on this CMT reality show. It's highly edited to show the "juicy" bits - mistakes and misses and failures. We're not seeing everything.
I’m still mad about how they did Amy so dirty... she was beautiful she had great power and projection and she was SO dedicated to making the team. They’ve let girls with worse kicks slide before and she deserved a spot more than most girls
I don't think they food her dirty. They cut on the very last night, and she clearly, after 9 weeks STILL DID NOT KNOW THE CHOREOGRAPHY!! THAT IS A NO GO... I DON'T CARE HOW CUTE OR HARD YOU TRY. WHEN YOU STICK OUT LIKE A SORE THUMB IN A BAD WAY... YOU CANNOT BE KEPT! She should be grateful, they only paid like 8$ an hour aft the time!!
I love the fact that Kelli has no poker face. You can read all her emotions all the time and she didn't appreciate it when Shaina said she didn't understand why but God had given her a road block. 😆
I know shaina personally and she is my dance coach. She has made me a better dance every time I see her! She is awesome! I’m also super upset about her not making it. Especially that summer was so hard for her with the helicopter crash her best friend was in.
Yes i loved her! and wish she made the team. I'm upset that Kelly misunderstood what Shaina was saying. I don't think she was calling them a roadblock.
And there parents and family and everyone that’s routing for them I’m crying 😭 I just get so upset for these girls because I don’t have daughters so they are my little girls I don’t have, I live in Dallas the pressure they go through is not being fully told here, but bless their hearts 🥰
Only thing I can say is they have said that it’s them fully believing they can do it. It’s them showing hope they can make it. But sometimes… it just doesn’t work out

Unpopular opinion, but I think she seemed a little too desperate to be on the team. I mean putting off getting married or setting a date in order to make the team. It would be like being engaged to a guy who did not want to set a date or get married for two or three years because he wanted to make the Dallas Cowboys Football Team first.
12:45 Wonder if this was for ratings as Amy had so many people on social media who supported her and her journey and the show would have known people would have stayed watching to see her finally realize her dream. She took on every critique, changed her body, her style, was complimented by guest judges and came back year after year with a positive attitude only to be the last cut from TC?!
When Kelly called her name to come to the office, she smiled. But as soon as she stood up, and Kelly wasn’t watching, she looked so mad. I understand concerned or even scared, but girl was angry. I think they dodged a bullet with that one.
she seemed showoff-ish to other rookies and seemed to only care for attention of the vets. when she was waiting, if you look the only girls comforting her where vets😬
I love that Kelli addresses her own problems with being misread. I believe she has a huge heart and the cuts take an emotional toll on her but I believe she LOVES and respects the DCC brand so much and she has given her entire life to building the organization to be the best of the best. DCC is the standard that every Pom squad in the world looks to. That’s because of Kelli’s passion and hard work. So anyone that calls her a B word or cold just doesn’t understand how much she cares about the squad and the brand and how much she cares about showing the girls what it looks like to be 100% professional in all situations.
She only cares about what the show can bring for her. She along with Charlotte will bring back a veteran to TC in order for drama and ratings aka have a veteran to call into the office or to cut during TC. If she does not like you, she will find a way to get rid of you. She will bring a girl onto the squad even if the girl is not the overall DCC in order to have someone to cut at Finals the following year aka ratings and drama. She has her favorites who can get away with things, but if a favorite rats out another girl for allegedly breaking the same rules, the girl will be cut while the favorite gets away with it. I have been told more than once Kelli and Charlotte have already decided which girls will be on the squad by the time Finals are over meaning they are bringing in certain girls in order for cuts, drama and ratings (not ALL the girls have the same chances of making the team.)
Melena! Up until she got eliminated I was rooting for her. This was like watching someone go through a mental breakdown. When a person says they are sorry that much usually means they are riddled with anxiety
I know a lot of people criticize how she handled it. But, I think it's justifiable if the things I've heard about what they did that season to her were true
I like Kelli's aproach letting those girls down. Then, I also understand Kelli's way telling those ladies they need ladies to be able to catch on fast.
Shaina is really pretty - I'd like to see her try out again and if she does, hopefully she'll make the team. She really got sucker punched losing her friends in that helicopter crash.
Her reaction was the cringiest, more than Julia for me. I feel for her loss, but I feel like she was deflecting as if that justifies her making excuses that defy what Kelli and Judy see. Apparently she is NOT the great field dancer she sees herself as. She wasn’t humble or polite to them at all, almost as if they were not entitled to eliminate her. I couldn’t wait for her to leave.

Julia was pretty, but even from the beginning of her being in the office, she was already making “teary” noises. She didn’t even shed a tear, and her faking to cry was a *big* mistake.
Malena didn’t know the routines at all, her legs were awkward, she couldn’t remember what she was doing. From day to day, they had to tell her what to do. She was not what they were looking for. The next year she made it to finals but not training camp.
Amy A's cut was the worst for me ❤ she tried so hard for 5 years 😓😓 Malena was uncomfortable for me, it still made me sad as she was one of my favourites but it made me uncomfortable. But like Kelly and Judy said when they but Malena that getting cut on the last night isn't necessarily the worst thing that they think as it means that they were fighting along side with them hoping and praying till the very end that they would have been able to push through
I feel like Kelly wasn’t mad about Melina’s reaction when she cut her, she even hugged her, but the next year at auditions she seemed like she was REALLY mad about it. Not sure why.
That’s a professionalism thing: the way that Melina handled that was the exact opposite of professional, and Kelly and Judy will not be angry with any of the girls in these situations. The won’t, however, forget that it happened. It’s kind of like making a mistake that you can move on from but stays on your record. They know that’s how she will react and they don’t want that on the team.

They don't have to have any formal dance training as a requirement, so a lot of them don't know the terms. It surprised me, too. Kat on the current team has no training and believe it or not, even KaShara had no formal training and she's a great dancer.
I know exactly how Ashley feels. I've had so many people on recommendations say that I'm very rude, closed off, and hard to work with, but when I go to a job, get it and work there for a few months, my manager will call me into her office and ask why I had that recommendations. I have no idea why they wrote that about me, I know that manager didn't like me, but she was also hardly around to ever see me work with my coworkers and the customers. Even the people I work with now say that I'm one of the sweetest people they've ever met, I'm very outgoing, even if I have a rude customer I never let it get to me, I always have a positive attitude.
Malina’s overreaction was disrespectful to herself, Judy and Kelli, and us as the viewers just way too much. It seemed like a bad acting job along with Julia who thought her crying (without tears) would keep her on the squad.

Nina Willow she was ok but she was by no means a showstopper like holly or Maddie. If she were trying out against the dancers in these past seasons there would be no way she would make it.
I would save these shows on my DVR. After her meeting with them when they confronted her and corrected her, Julia was on field walking back to practice. Some of the other girls were approaching her to comfort her and Julia clearly mouthed “Fuck that” and looked super pissed. I rewound it when I first saw they missed that in the editing room 🙃
Y'know, I never really noticed but you're totally right. She didn't even have tears in her eyes and her sniffles were dry. Was that just crying for the camera?
She has to rise to the occasion and she does it so well with such professionalism but yeah. You have to detach to do the job well with certain functions, llike 911 operators. STRONG WIMAN.
To me malena cut will forever be in my head. Kelli and judy literally gave her the whole summer and over and over they kept telling malena what's she is doing and still doing the same could not get it done. Other girls that had it and doing a good job but got cut right on spot.
Kelli wanted to keep Malena and Lily at the end of Season 13, but Charlotte said no. Charlotte has a lot more say in who does or does not make it to TC or on the squad than people seem to realize.
I've always felt sorry for those girls who have been cut from training camp more than once because I think; jeez, their best shot just would never be good enough.
Ladies to Shana- “We’re really hoping to see you again, but we’d understand” I took that as ~please don’t come back next year??? Idk it was weird to me since I’ve never heard them say that before.
I think for Shaina they were probably also considering the amount of trauma she in particular went through in training camp and if she came back in the future she could potentially struggle with that trauma again, don't know for sure but I would guess that was how they meant it
I remember thinking that I hope they don't cut Melissa Rycroft. They kind of made you believe that that's what they were going to do. On the team when a player gets cut someone goes up to them and they say "Coach wants to see you. Bring your playbook." That's when you know you're cleaning out your locker.
Kelli and Judy took a lot of heat after Judy was making excuses for Cassie in Season 3. The one scene in Season 3's TC when Cassie ask for someone's inhaler due to her Asthma acting up in practice. Judy posted something on a website forum page about Cassie being sick with mono the same evening she was called out for running out of gas and ended up in Urgent Care or the ER for being sick. People were calling Judy out for making excuses for Cassie while they called Melissa into the office the year before for being sick. I guess Kelli and Judy ended up apologizing to Melissa.
@@nancyleddige6997 I had forgotten about making this comment. During that season I was on the CMT MTT forums and we had a chat once with Melissa. She mentioned this and she said she was much more sick than how she looked on the show. She said she almost didn't make it through that practice. She didn't come back for a third season but I kind of doubt that her being sent for over this had anything to do with it. She had taken a new job and she just couldn't do both.
I had the Epstein Barr virus that causes mono last year and the fatigue and loss of appetite lasted for two months. I had to nap after taking a shower because bathing was exhausting. I can’t believe they expected her to be at her best so quickly.
Yeah for real. I watched this season as it was airing and having had mono it really pissed me off that they were so cruel to her about it. I guess the timing could be off and it’s a matter of reality tv producers or whatnot doing hack jobs on bits of footage to create a problem where there isn’t one. Still though.
it was so uncomfortable when kelli read comments from ashley's dance teachers to her. it honestly felt like borderline bullying, how was ashley supposed to respond in that situation? it broke my heart
Women can be so cruel to one another, especially if they are jealous. Shame on those women who out of pettiness and envy said things about Ashley that were obviously not true.
My husband said watching Kelli and Judy on DCC is like watching mean girls episode. I know they have to be tough on those girls. But the way the show is clipped and filmed they do seem pretty mean. I wonder if they will ever get reamed for the body shaming like what goes on in Women's gymnastics.
I think the 2020 covid season with the rookies getting the dances in advance is forever going to change the DCC process. Way easier for K & J to see if the girls can pick up choreography...no more dragging it on for weeks at training camp.
Underpaid torture chamber. Need to exercise non stop, stay slim, have money for good dental work, good hair style, speak well although might have inadequate education - put up with menopausal women critiquing you - feel sorry for this girls. Rather give my daughter a good education and a profession she can be proud of.

Dcc is a bad example for the girls and fans, the girls have to be perfect but they exploit these girls sexually and they are making big money and it's just wrong!
I so felt that they way they treated M Rycroft in this meeting. Having Mono is very exhausting and the fact she is dancing at all is a miracle. Fast Forward several years, if she would have had COVID they might have understood more.

For some reason I never cared for Julia. I saw her as self serving and not a team player even before the interview.

Malena didn’t know the routines at all, her legs were awkward, she couldn’t remember what she was doing. From day to day, they had to tell her what to do. She was not what they were looking for. The next year she made it to finals but not training camp.

Malena was uncomfortable for me, it still made me sad as she was one of my favourites but it made me uncomfortable.
But like Kelly and Judy said when they but Malena that getting cut on the last night isn't necessarily the worst thing that they think as it means that they were fighting along side with them hoping and praying till the very end that they would have been able to push through
I feel like Kelly wasn’t mad about Melina’s reaction when she cut her, she even hugged her, but the next year at auditions she seemed like she was REALLY mad about it. Not sure why.
That’s a professionalism thing: the way that Melina handled that was the exact opposite of professional, and Kelly and Judy will not be angry with any of the girls in these situations. The won’t, however, forget that it happened. It’s kind of like making a mistake that you can move on from but stays on your record. They know that’s how she will react and they don’t want that on the team.

Wait, hold up... a girl made it to training camp and didn't know what a chasse was...I'm thoroughly confused.
They don't have to have any formal dance training as a requirement, so a lot of them don't know the terms. It surprised me, too. Kat on the current team has no training and believe it or not, even KaShara had no formal training and she's a great dancer.
I know exactly how Ashley feels. I've had so many people on recommendations say that I'm very rude, closed off, and hard to work with, but when I go to a job, get it and work there for a few months, my manager will call me into her office and ask why I had that recommendations. I have no idea why they wrote that about me, I know that manager didn't like me, but she was also hardly around to ever see me work with my coworkers and the customers. Even the people I work with now say that I'm one of the sweetest people they've ever met, I'm very outgoing, even if I have a rude customer I never let it get to me, I always have a positive attitude.

Julia didn’t even shed an actual tear. It was bad acting. Also, she deserved to be cut after her media training day anyway.
I would save these shows on my DVR. After her meeting with them when they confronted her and corrected her, Julia was on field walking back to practice. Some of the other girls were approaching her to comfort her and Julia clearly mouthed “Fuck that” and looked super pissed. I rewound it when I first saw they missed that in the editing room 🙃

Letting people go is so hard and Kelli and judy have to do it so many times, it must be so emotionally draining
To me malena cut will forever be in my head. Kelli and judy literally gave her the whole summer and over and over they kept telling malena what's she is doing and still doing the same could not get it done. Other girls that had it and doing a good job but got cut right on spot.
Kelli wanted to keep Malena and Lily at the end of Season 13, but Charlotte said no. Charlotte has a lot more say in who does or does not make it to TC or on the squad than people seem to realize.
I've always felt sorry for those girls who have been cut from training camp more than once because I think; jeez, their best shot just would never be good enough.

I think for Shaina they were probably also considering the amount of trauma she in particular went through in training camp and if she came back in the future she could potentially struggle with that trauma again, don't know for sure but I would guess that was how they meant it

I remember thinking that I hope they don't cut Melissa Rycroft. They kind of made you believe that that's what they were going to do. On the team when a player gets cut someone goes up to them and they say "Coach wants to see you. Bring your playbook." That's when you know you're cleaning out your locker.
When Melissa Rycroft was called into the office, that was the same night that Meghan Flaherty was cut the second time.
Kelli and Judy took a lot of heat after Judy was making excuses for Cassie in Season 3. The one scene in Season 3's TC when Cassie ask for someone's inhaler due to her Asthma acting up in practice. Judy posted something on a website forum page about Cassie being sick with mono the same evening she was called out for running out of gas and ended up in Urgent Care or the ER for being sick. People were calling Judy out for making excuses for Cassie while they called Melissa into the office the year before for being sick. I guess Kelli and Judy ended up apologizing to Melissa.
@@nancyleddige6997 I had forgotten about making this comment. During that season I was on the CMT MTT forums and we had a chat once with Melissa. She mentioned this and she said she was much more sick than how she looked on the show. She said she almost didn't make it through that practice. She didn't come back for a third season but I kind of doubt that her being sent for over this had anything to do with it. She had taken a new job and she just couldn't do both.

I had the Epstein Barr virus that causes mono last year and the fatigue and loss of appetite lasted for two months. I had to nap after taking a shower because bathing was exhausting. I can’t believe they expected her to be at her best so quickly.
Yeah for real. I watched this season as it was airing and having had mono it really pissed me off that they were so cruel to her about it. I guess the timing could be off and it’s a matter of reality tv producers or whatnot doing hack jobs on bits of footage to create a problem where there isn’t one. Still though.

I think the 2020 covid season with the rookies getting the dances in advance is forever going to change the DCC process. Way easier for K & J to see if the girls can pick up choreography...no more dragging it on for weeks at training camp.

I so felt that they way they treated M Rycroft in this meeting. Having Mono is very exhausting and the fact she is dancing at all is a miracle. Fast Forward several years, if she would have had COVID they might have understood more.
