The hands of traditional craft artisans are all amazing. In each video you can see their hands clearly. The cameraman put a lot of thought into his filming.
Outstanding workmanship from each one of those gentlemen. Each one is a craftsman and very skilled at what he was doing. I wonder how much time it took each of them to learn their trade? Much respect to Japan for maintaining many of the country's historic skills in this 21at century.
It is amazing to sit and watch these calm processes. I plan for my next Japan visit to check out handcraft courses like paper making, ceramics, dyeing, sumi-e, knitting bamboo sandals, and maybe this bamboo craft making youTUbe-videos on my channel about it and I wish I could hopefully take some of them back to Germany to use them here.
Only the first segment had captions, but the captions were delayed by about 28 seconds… Kinda takes away the enjoyment of the learning process, to be honest…

A appreciate these craftsmans skills but god damn using modern tools never hurt anyone. All of these people are wasting so much time and effort. The whole time im watching these videos im thinking of ways they could all save time and money.

The indigo die guy should at least have ventilation and a mask! Lye is very toxic!
