Would this box be big enough, I have one of these brand new. For 12 s. Rockville RDVB12 Dual 12" 1.75 cu.ft. MDF Vented/Ported, 3/4 MDF Im noticing most pre-made 12 inch, ported boxes are just under 2 cubic feet, where as custom boxes are up to 4 cubic feet. What is too small and what is too big for box size.
What kind of amp are you running in to this sub and also if the box is sealed box or enclosed porter I have the same sub and the box from a single 12 porter and sound awful. Any help
Im completely guessing, But maybe Ampere audio sold their 3.0 model ( basket/ tooling/ soft parts / ) to Skar cuz this looks identical to the 3.0 This Skar also looks exactly like the crossfire C7 sub ! Bad ass 12” sub tho!
no, the wire is SHCA 14g ofc. id be surprised if the sub is getting more than 500rms after rise and voltage drop. if we decide to upgrade further, then a 10g will be swapped in.
Anthony Barajas I'm glad most of us use opinion instead of this is what it is like some do an your opinion is more correct than not.....but if u got sum 10 or 8 guage an u get bored jus try it an see if you notice a difference I know for sure I did good luck!
I got two of these same woofers on a soundigital 8k and they really beat, coils will get stinky, it’s the glue from heat. Other than that they sound awesome and really move some air.
I have the new soundqubed hds3.112 and its loud but I wanted something that can play lower and smoother hopefully the vxf will sound better. If it can sound like the w7 Ill be impressed forsure!
+crazy coop 1 of these in a proper box sounds very well, hits lows good. I got mine playing up to 70hz and sumtimes a little higher.. best around 40-50hz. I also have 2900w feeding it, so I gotta be careful until I get more comfortable with it.. it's on a skv2-2500.1d @1ohm.. I probably should have gotten the dual 4ohm version to keep it safe, but I wanted to use all my amps potential lol.. I can always get another and run it @.5ohm I have lots of 2/0 welding wire.. 1 run of skyhigh oversized 1/0 feeds it fine for now.. I got pretty decent voltage.. stock 160a alt and 2 yellowtops runs 13.3 with ac on, it still keeps up
+Corbin Stone you would have to wire up to a 2ohm load on each sub then wire them in parallel to the amp to a final 1ohm load. I would suggest the skar skv2 series.. I have the skv2.2500 and it's a very nice amp, definitely better than the rp series.. or get 2 rp1500s, 1 rp2000 might not be enough and would probably be over worked at 1 ohm.. my skv2.2500 barley get warm I'm running it @1ohm to a single 12 vxf and it sounds awesome. eventually I'd like to get another and run my amp at .5ohm I'm sure it can handle it, since it is a Korean amplifier designed in USA.. the rp series is designed in USA and build in China, they are still nice amps, but I wouldn't think there as reliable and built as well though.. I also had the rp2000, nice amp but lacked a few things such as the clipping light on the bass knob and being able to strap.. the sk series is definitely more hefty and bulky and bigger in size but we'll worth every penny and should last many years..
in my personal system. my 2) 18s are D1s and they are wired together (1.5years like that so far) and one set of wires come out of my wall to hook into my Team 4000.1, all this is very easily taken care of. you should be googling wire diagrams for D1 subwoofers. and as far as amp for your subs (1500rms each) a Wolfram W-3000.1 (3800rms) will be the best fit. its the best deal for Korean power on the market today. plus i have a 10% off discount code in every video. Are these better than the skar evl 12?
I wanna put one single vxf I need to upgrade my alternador or add another battery???
Got the skar vxf 12” on a audiopipe 1500 apcle... pumps out some serious volume.. loud and tight/clean.... sql sub.
I am going to be running 3 or 4 of skar audio in my gmc envoy soon
Whats the difference between this and the zvx rated the same power? Y’all know?
It looks crazy! That magnet and voice coil is BEEF! 100% BEEF!!
I got the 15" VXF SKAR Sub with a whole setup. Can't wait!!
I dont deny that this sub is a beast, but i would LOVE to see their reactions when seeing a ZV5 12!
vxf sound better imo.. plus zvx need sooo much air to sound right lol

looks like they are a better option than sundown... yes no?
brent338 Yes , the sundown audio has the same magnet the same wattage but triple price !! So sundown audio is not a chance.

I am buying two for my semi truck how do u like em??
Just curious, box says "ccaw voice coil" but it's actually round copper.
Would I have to upgrade my alternator and add a secondary battery if I put a single 12in vxf sub in my 94 Chevy truck?
U could but you don’t need to u just have an single
Who did the box? Interested in doing single 12 in a console box.
my brother cam built it.

Anthony Barajas 14g is not even close to pushing all 500 watts shouldn't use no less than 10 guage I don't even use 14 guage for my door speakers lol
maybe cheap 14g wire, but for this purpose. simple daily SQ style bangin. the SHCA 14g ofc is very good shit. I stick with my previous opinion
