- Опубліковано 12 вер 2024
- This year I've had a renewed focus in selling trading card singles in hopes of becoming a top COMC seller over the next several years. I've just crossed over the $60k sold mark this year and it's been a few months since the last update, so lets do a video! In this video I get into all of the nerdy details like how much I've paid in consignment fees, seller fees and even go through some of the better cards that I've flipped as well!

Your one of a kind RunGood. Honesty and integrity is what i derive from your shows and content. Fan for life......
When i started with comc i was sending in all my 5-20$ cards because I didn't want to deal with them on ebay anymore. Then it was under $50. anymore i send almost everything to comc under $250. 250 above or something i feel I can move fast I stick with ebay as well since with authentication it cuts out the shenanigans. plus the time factor of listing everything individually. Nice video, thanks.
I do a lot of Ebay, considering doing Comc because I have a lot of lower value cards. Would you say that Comc has been worth it compared to Ebay? Do you buy wax through Blowoutcards?
awesome. I love these videos. So many cards to look through to find deal, would be nice to see you walk through it and maybe buy live.
Sent off a big box of cards from various rips over the past few years. The videos are a huge help
Awesome video RGL. I am going to dig into this more. Appreciate you.
The only UA-cam Sports Collector that I genuinely enjoy! I wish ComC was easier to use. Maybe i need to just sit down one week and Figure it out. Keep it up dude!
I am new to COMC and love these videos and didn't know about Recently Added function so will probably be addicted to that, so thanks for that. Ha.
Love this type of videos! Great content, love to see this transparency!!!
Really appreciate the videos, RGL. Your spot on with your ideas for other videos. 💯. Very inspiring and informative. Thanks again
These are my favorite hands down. Such a wealth of knowledge. Thanks for sharing man!
Great video RGL. Would definitely love to see a video of cards you buy to flip and what metrics you use and how you decide what card to buy that will flip well. Maybe like an actual video of you looking for cards to flip on comc and show the process you use to determine if it’s a good card to flip or not. Thanks!
I laughed so hard when you said, "hey bud my kid bid on this one caann..." happened to me this weekend, classic eBay excuse
I love your COMC videos, but haven't seen any new ones recently. Also, I have a few questions that I didn't see you address.
- Comc challenges, who are the top users with millions of points earned. Did they use bots or how did they do that?
- Who is submitting all these commons on the site? Are submissions free for employees or something?
I got tired of doing COMC content because it takes TON of time to make these videos, and they get 1/3rd of the views of my normal content. It's a passion project anytime I do one of these vids, and lately I haven't had the time to commit to them.
The users who do the COMC challenge are legitimate. They are all international users who live in poorer countries where USD is worth so much more, so the store credit rate of doing the challenges was enough incentive for them and/or family members to do them. They can also have multiple people logged in on the same account doing them at the same time.
- No idea. Submissions for employes are not free. When I worked there we got a 25% discount but there was a maximum amount of cards we could submit every week and it was like 100-200.
great collection and your select Martinez patch on comc looks very cool
Im impressed with what you have accomplished in 1 year...😎
I dream of finding my own version of the Prizm Black 1/1 Danny Gray to flip for massive profit like you did one day
Let's go love the comc updates!
Their fees to grade etc are nuts, cheaper to submit to grading yourself
Yeah but how much did you spend to get those cards to sell that?!?!?!
Great Vid!! Any suggestions for what discounts to offer Comc customers during Xmas Black Friday?
Depends on what you're willing to give away. Usually 30%+ is enticing.
What did you spend on those cards? What’s the ROI?
🤓 I love these COMC videos
Great video. Like to see more..
Awesome video
Been shopping my entire collection recently, but this makes me think maybe I just send all here. IDK what to do…
Time is the major factor, I just want to condense to higher level cards, not getting out or anything
I’ve been thinking the same thing…. Great idea
I was looking to send some cards to comc.. but why don’t they show what sold like eBay? You have to buy credits to see what sold?
Their data is historical and goes all the way back to 2010 I believe. It's incredibly valuable and they do gatekeep it behind history points, which can be bought. I believe 100 pts is $10 and each time you want to see a price it's one point.
$0.10 a comp seems fine to me.
Love your content. And I understand this is a hobby, but as far as all the product you have opened, and grading subs, and selling. Are you profitable? I know you probably get some monetization from UA-cam. But if you took that out are you profiting enough to make this a career for someone who doesn't wanna content create around the hobby?
I did the math on a break night a couple weeks ago, box prices vs spot prices. Figured $5K+ in profit? I like RGL and his channel and enjoy watching the breaks, but they are marked up to much for me. Plenty of others the same way, but if you like to break here so be it.
Curious what your estimated numbers were on all of the following:
- Overhead business costs
- Card Supplies
- Shipping Supplies
- Labor costs of paying employees to sort/ship
- Business insurance
- Business licenses
- Business taxes
- etc etc
If you came up with $5k profit a night, I'd love for you to be my accountant. Sounds like I can let my current one go.
Am I profitable on doing daily content and then selling my cards later on? No, and even if I was to factor monetization (ad revenue) from the daily videos that still would not cover it.
Am I profitable buying cards to sell, grading cards to sell, running group breaks, and speculating on product to resell sealed later? Yes.
@@RunGoodLife appreciate the feedback! I try to ask a lot of content creators the same questions and always get over looked. Thanks for responding.
@@RunGoodLife actually you don't want him as your account.
you want an account to come up with $50 in profit and not 5k,
less taxes to pay.
Does comc report your sales to irs or as long as they have your money in hand they won’t send you a tax form? Only asking because I want to sell on comc to trade up to bigger cards for my pc. Sell my collection for credit and use credit for better cards.
No, you're responsible for reporting all of your earnings. If you request a check or paypal over the $600 threshold, they will report that on whichever form is now required to do so by the new government thresholds.
has anyone else used COMC? if so, whats your experience? thinking of actually listing a decent amount of my collection on here. Any feedback is appreciated! thanks guys
I’m numbers guy, gravitated towards you off the rip cuz you seemed to be very informed and even more transparent! This vid was epic! Appreciate you sharing your truths! 🫡
How long do you think it would take to price say around 5k cards?
If you are just pricing them lower than other copies for sale on the website, you can confidently price 200-300 per hour. If you have to comp everything and are in two browser windows, you're looking at around 100 cards an hour
COMC seems great amd most of their pricing/fees seem reasonable but 10% cash out fee is just robbery
Do you feel you sell as easily on COMC as eBay? I know eBay has many more viewers.
The thing about COMC is they are partnered with eBay, so my cards for sale at BIN on COMC are also for sale on eBay under their account. I can also submit cards from my COMC account directly to eBay auction.
@@RunGoodLife so if they are purchased through eBay do you pay fees on both sites?
@@kevinwaldie2367 no, you just pay the standard COMC seller fees.
@@RunGoodLife awesome, thanks for the info!
Seams like they get you on fees
Fees are the same or equal to eBay. But how much time would it take me to list and sell 5000 cards on eBay?
If you value your time whatsoever and you put a monetary value on it, COMC is significantly less expensive to sell cards on than eBay.

ComC are a rip off for international buyer's $30+ shipping fee's plus you can't negotiate a price because these card's are on commission i avoid every card sold by this seller.
You need to stop buying cards from COMC on eBay, and sign up for their website, COMC.com . They have limited functionality on eBay because of how their ebay listings are integrated with their own website listings. Over on their own website, you can create an account, add the necessary funds to send an offer to the seller, and if the offer isn't accepted, you can withdraw the funds without pay any fees at all (assuming you withdraw them within 30 days).
Also, international shipping is cheaper on their own website, with more options available. You can also buy cards for as long you want and ship them all at once, so you're not paying $10+ shipping every time you buy one card.
