      It's poetry hon, hear your own meaning in it. Or don't and just enjoy. Another person can't interpret it for you.

      So as the title says, it's an ode to the musician Prince. The poet praises him, then talks about specific memories that connect to Prince's music in his mind (the gum under the table), how that connects past and present, his personal life and larger cultural meaning, etc. Listen again and just let each line kind of sink in. And totally ask questions about what a specific line means to other folks if you're wanting to understand more! As someone else said, you can definitely hear your own meaning, but I totally understand the desire to "get it" or get what other people are getting.
