What's crazier is the character development for Otacon and how he mirrors Snake when Naomi died. "I don't have any more years to shed. Snake, you were right. I haven't lost everything yet. I still have a job to do."
Man I tell you, seeing all this makes me think of how much I miss Solid Snake, that was the hardest part of MGS4 for me is knowing that there would be no optimistic speech at the end and there would be no more adventures to anticipate
That's why instead of having an mgs3 remake, the real remake should've been MG1 and MG2: Solid Snake. Snake in his prime, without having to tamper with his ending in 4, and would've picked up right where Phatom Pain left off with the Operation: Intrude N313 tape. Made so much sense, but of course we're in the remake era of popular games because what else is there to do I guess.

It's now hard to believe that Solid Snake became the very first third party guest character to show up in Super Smash Bros., and his return to Smash was indeed worth the wait.
A lot of people seem to think that Sonic was first. A lot of times I’ll see people list all of the third party characters in order but have Snake and Sonic swapped.
For me it’s when ocelot detonated the Semtex in the tanker and he’s about to board Ray. As the ship is exploding and filling up with water, Snake is wading through the water and aims the gun and screams “OCELOT”. I don’t know why. But it’s one of my favourite moments.
I think you missed the "Support" scene (MGS2) when snake helps out Raiden by first taking out cyphers with his gun, and after that preparing to cover Raiden with sniper fire. One of the coolest scenes in MGS2.
These games were masterpieces. I really hope whoever takes over the next upcoming projects actually delivers and keeps the standard (if they are going to make another) Konami gave away a solid slab of gold by letting Kojima part ways
I'm sorry but #1 for me will always be the fight at the end of MGS4. Just the fight progression over the years, the music, the finality of it all... It was beautiful.
killing sniper wolf scene is beyond epic, the music, the dialog, the respect/honor... could easely be the finishing sequence of the snake saga. hands down most bitter sweet moment in metal gear series. i remember just frose in melancholy for a while. this scene felt like hugging you and throwing you off a cliff at the same time.
Cool you mixed in some of the Twin Snakes bits. Freakin hell I still want MGS4 to come to PC and PS4 also literally the only reason I keep a PS3 around
