I would just like to let you know that you and your amazing group of friends and family have inspired me to push myself and get back into shape as well as start eating healthy for the first time in my life. It’s lovely to see you guys trying out Synchronised Swimming and see how hard it is. I used to be an synchronised swimmer too so happy to see people are finally able to see it.
Oh man. Lol. My summer camp gave me 3 options for the mandatory swimming class - water aerobics, laps, synchro, and you were never allowed to do water aerobics on back to back years…so we had a ton a lap swimmers, myself included. Lol. Synchro is seriously hard!!

Watching people trying to do stuff without goggles was hilarious. At one point Ash looked like he was drowning. I was half expecting one of the girls to have to save him.
When they were in the circle? It was just a splashfest! 🤣

My god that was hilarious. Keep them coming you’re all awesome.
That said, I am amazed daily by every single Olympian. Not only have you pushed your bodies for years to achieve greatness but you have been picked over the others who tried and never made the grade.
Then, you push even harder to achieve a medal that most in your team can only push and try to attain at the same time.
That is winning.
Whatever medal you win is a testament to your determination and drive to succeed. Something very few of us less, determined and driven will ever know and I applaud you all.

How have I missed this video all this time?! LOVE it!!!! As an adult learner of this sport, I appreciate you trying it - love when people realize how hard it is! A few tips on land (as Olympic athletes, they probably don't even remember HOW they learned! LOL) could've really helped you out - GREAT job! I loved this!

This just shows how hard artistic swimming is. I mean you've all been performing amazingly in all the other sports you tried but I can confidently say that you did the worst in this one. I am in awe by these swimmers and have no idea how they do it. Such an underrated sport. It's incredible 🤯❤️🤩

I can do Synchronized swimming (artistic swimming). And I've done it for 26 years.
I’ve always admired synchro swimmers. They make it look easy but I know it cannot be. I swim but only for fun and I’ve done workouts in the water and it’s hard doing that at times so what they do has to be ten times harder. It’s sad they are not funded. Would be nice to see them get a sponsorship. Such a hard sport. Yet so beautiful too. Great job!

ellis managed to keep up really well with the rest of the boys group in the final routine love seeing a non professional sports person giving it their all and doing well give us normal humans some hope hahahahaha
I havent watched the video yet but not a chance. Not a single chance. In my opinion it's the hardest sport. Very happy to see you trying. Sometimes people watch this sport and they dont come to realize that the swimmers are never touching the floor

In my GCSE PE class. we were once watching a vid about synchronised swimming and the boys were all sitting there laughing. Me who use to swim tried doing this and I just look like I was drowning upside down. I would have loved to see them try it when they couldn't even swim

Total respect for synchronised sports. You should also try synchronised skating - one of the hardest but most beautiful artistic sports there is!

Not me sitting here trying to figure out if the tiny liberal arts university I went to in Massachusetts USA has a synchro team like ash’s cap seems to imply. What a small world if that is what it is!
Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts does have a competitive team! If that was the college you attended, you missed out if you didn't see them swim.

How long can they hold their breath?
Depends on the swimmer, and their level in the sport. Sections of some elite routines require over 2 minutes underwater. Sections of some novice routines require as long as 15 seconds, which can feel like forever to a novice.
