I had the PS! version, and if I remember correctly you can find the code in the New York level and falling out of bounds in the middle somewhere. Idk if it is the same scenario in the PSN version, but you should try it.
@CarmageddonHero Those are alternate skins. Somewhere out there, there is a download for a "Special Version". With it, there is an extra program that allows you to set different skins for different characters. Unfortunately, most of the skins don't work. So there are only two sets of skins for each vehicle: The original, or an alternate.
@CarmageddonHero The game comes with the download of that program. You can download it somewhere, if you can find it. I managed to find it once, but I'm having trouble finding it a second time.
His armor wasn't bad, it was above average, he just wasn't a rammer. His handling is terrible, tendency to flip and roll if you slide on uneven surfaces, I hated that. But his armor held for being an easy target and his special regenerates very quickly so you can barrage opponents with multiple shots, he was a meat and potatoes character which means not flashy but strong in reckless battle. He is like the Pittsburgh Steelers of Twisted Metal.
@MegaSpaceEagle I think TwistedMetalAlliance had a special version of the game available for download which had a program where you could modify the skins for each vehicle. The program gives several different skins, but it seems it's a bit bugged. So you have two different sets of skins: the default skins and an alternate skin for each character. As for where to find it, I'm afraid I don't know where it is. Perhaps you can search on your own?
Hmm... I seem to remember Sweet Tooth from the PS1 as having good (or at least above average) armor. Maybe the stats are different on the PC version. Yeah, and because he was a special spammer as an A.I. opponent, he sucked to fight against on Moscow, because you were always getting chased by an ice cream cone of death :D
Twisted Metal 2 - BEST GAME EvER - wish this game would be remade but with nicer graphics, but keep the gameplay, chars, cars, levels etc all the same!
@CarmageddonHero I'm still deliberating on that. I want to do reviews like this, with actual clips of the game that support what I'm saying. The problem is, Twisted Metal 2 is the only game that I can capture gameplay from. So if I can't find a way to capture gameplay from Black or Head-On, I'm gonna turn over those to someone who can do those reviews. The whole point of this series is to improve upon the old one.
i remeber my brother bought me this game for my birthday ps1 in 2004 i loved this game .... i collected all the twisted metals it was my favorite series
I though you could play as Dark Tooth with special, and with head and everything. I saw other video someone unlocked Dark Tooth in Car Selection for ps1!
