    So no mentioning of the LAPC? What's your verdict on that feature in combination with the speakers used?

    The question which come to my mind, how does it compares to the SU-R1000 because we talking about GAN Fet output-stage vs a Mosfets output-stage for the SU-G700M2 that makes a big difference in sound.

    What would it take to add HDMI capability to the system this unit is the basis for?...I guess as some kind of an accessory....It seems otherwise perfect for me. Also in the intro of this review it was stated by Tom that power was 120 watts into 8 ohms and 210 watts into 4ohms,,,But the articles's title reads it as 70/140 watts; perhaps I misunderstood....Also I understand this unit has both room correction as well as a type of speaker correction based on the speaker load to the amplifier. This was not really covered in the review. My situation would seem to need BOTH. Do you have a comment on this capability that I can reference?

    if the SU G700M2 sounds amazingly the sound of the SU R1000 can be multiplied by many percentages

    Much appreciated but I wouldn't compare this very fine amplifier to Tesla crap products.

    Hi. I just got my SU-G700M2 and connected a subwoofer to the PRE-OUT as indicated in the instructions. However, just noticed that the Subwoofer is playing all sounds and not just low frequencies (bass). How do I adjust this in the AMP? thx

    • @Horatio4711
      @Horatio4711 Рік тому +2

      There's no active crossover in the amp, you need a subwoofer with one built in. No way to separate frequencies there, the Pre-Out always gives the full spectrum.
      As a drawback it's signal contains the LAPC corrections also, so not an amp ideal for usage with subwoofers.

    Tom, are you unaware that NAD, for one, has had similar technology for quite sometime?

    • @badgerdms
      @badgerdms Рік тому +2

      Not even close. I owned an M33 for a bit before getting rid of it. The Purifi Eigentact modules in the NAD don't compare to the GaN implementation that Technics uses in this amp. I got to play with this one for a month and loved it in a way that I never did the NAD. Go listen to one, you won't mistake this with a NAD amp.

      If I implied that this amp is unique, my apologies. It is after all version 2, Technics has other versions of the idea, and a few other amp makers have done something similar. That said, of the hundreds or thousands of amps on the market, it is quite unusual.

    • @adriantatum1673
      @adriantatum1673 Рік тому

      @@badgerdms the M33, is n͟o͟t͟ a fully digital amplifier. NAD's DirectDigital integrated amps were the M2, C390DD, D 7050 and finally M32̲. The M12 was preamp/DAC. I heard they might come out with a new iteration of the technology in the future.
