I've been subscribed since '08 or '09 and I remember distinctly the worlds most difficult guitar hero songs and lots of buckethead. In the last several years I know I haven't been getting your videos on my feed, and it's ridiculous because every time I check your channel there's several recent ones that UA-cam just decided I didn't need to watch.
Thanks for putting this information out there. For the longest time I could never understand what was going on.

Jonathan they called it out first because they have inactive subscribers/ uninterested subscribers. It happens to plenty of channels. People just refuse to believe that at some point what made them popular does not continue to entertain all of their subscribers

I have noticed this to, i did just ignore it, because it does show that i'm not subbed, but when i reload the video, than it does show i'm subbed.
So that is why people lose subs, they think they are not subbed and click the button :P
I used to be subscribed to you, now I'm apparently not anymore, but this video still showed up in my sub box. With that said though, a few years back my youtube subscription list got wiped. I still got their videos in my sub box, but they weren't in my subscription list anymore. Ever since then I've been resubscribing to channels I'm already subscribed to. Thing is, only the occasional video shows up in my feed from my previous list. Your videos for example only show up in my sub box every few months, very rare. I did not know you uploaded regularly, I thought you basically quit youtube a long time ago.

Rob I agree with your perspective on the algorithm and how it works... In my eyes, its hard to call what is going on a glitch because of the fact its been going on so long and CLEARLY after your interactions with employees you can see that they aren't interested in changing it. At the end of the day they probably knew the fallback and issues that would arise from having such a system but it was the executive decision. So calling it a glitch is just taking away the responsibility and hand that youtube has had in the shit that has killed and is killing so many channels. It really is annoying as a viewer not receiving content that I literally subscribed to just because the system assumes im not interested, its absolute BS and it should change.

last year this one channel I was subscribed to had around 30,000 subs and UA-cam had somehow managed to delete every single subscriber and everyone of them had to sub him again

I'm subscribed to a lot of channels. I usually don't comment and "like" every single video..... or "interact" as you call it. A lot of videos I "like" are from channels I'm not subscribed to. So how come this glitch hasn't affected me?

they need to bring back the ability to put all your subscriptions into groups so i can have my music subscriptions sorted out from the rest and have comedy in 1 and maybe another catagory for video to show to friends

i can tell you right now i found out that a channel im subscribed too uploads a video but it NEVER got put on the "check out your new subscriptions" video list i have to manually goto the channel to watch it to even find out if they uploaded or not

I'm subbed to over 50 channels, and I don't get this problem. Every now and then I look at them individually, and I don't typically see any missed videos :/

You moving the camera a lot creates a lot of video compression and artifacting that makes your video look like garbage.

tbh The dub box issue is why destorm stopped uploading frequently and went to vine. It was around 2013 I believe he stopped uploading consistently
I went on archive.org to see older versions of your channel. What were the GH4 videos specifically about? Also, you made more videos 8 years ago than the current amount of public videos now.
In the last 10 years, I've had to resub to you once. I've lost maybe 3 other channels over those same 10 years. Kinda sucks.
