Now we are in 2024, Call of Duty 2024 is coming from Treyarch. With all the rumors surrounding this game, let's discuss what we know so far. What time era it is set in, what Zombies is rumored to be like, the Multiplayer details so far and more. It is a very exciting time! All rumors are pointing to Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War being this years game, but we have no idea what is true until it is officially announced. Treyarch have been working on this game since the end of 2020, being the longest development time Treyarch has ever had to work on their own Call of Duty title.

I want the OG perk system and point system back in zombies so bad
I wish there’d be a mode where you spawn in with a starting pistol and survive your way up to opening the mystery box to get more weapons, and another non-fun mode where it’s like cold and you start with a weapon of choice. So they make it optional for people when they want to play with friends and when they want to test and try features of a certain gun.
Then play that game...

I peraonally like the cinematic linear campaigns! Got the heart beating and the immersion so much better than the open world campaign.
Those will still remain, they will be brought up in tense or story changing moment. They just want you to feel more like you are exploring things rather than just running along with a scripted narrative.

Open world is an absolutely terrible idea. Why do they feel the need to try and sabotage their own games every year?
Not only that, they’ve tried it in the last cod, got extremely negative feedback and thought, yeah this is still a good idea. Like tf 💀😂

depends, it could work. if its functionally similar to a game like farcry 5, it could be a lot of fun. knowing cod developers, they will probably mess that up.

Unlike most CoD fans I genuinely enjoyed Cold War but my god was the SBMM UNBEARABLE. Id literally have 2 good games in a row then 20 with chinese names that effortlessly quickscope you the MILISECOND a pixel of your character was on the screen. It was far worse than MW and MW2 for me
they won't, no other game will get close to cold war ever, so keep you r hopes very low

What if we get a set crew again and it consists of Grey, Strauss, Weaver and Carver? The EE in the last zombies map we get is us taking steps to put the crew into the machine that takes their souls or whatever. Id call them the heads of requiem crew

You don't understand the world much if you think America can just isolate and not be on the world stage. The very materials needed for your game, cell phone, and other technology, areny in America or even in allowd countries. Political stages in the world are not what most people think, and the reasons involved are far above most people heads . I hate war and violence, but I also know sometimes it's needed and alwats has been. Humans have fought and been conquered or conquered since we picked uo rocks and left the trees. It's nature

These last few years ive played cod pvp less n less.
Never really got into warzone, but i loved dmz!
Ive always enjoyed cod campaigns as well.
And i loved mw3's open world levels.
So getting more openworldness, is a positive for me.
But then its going back to round based zombies as well.
Again i loved open world zombies!
Much more freedom to play how u want, go where u want.
But still have decent missions and story cutscenes.
Iam not saying I won't buy gulf, but apart from open world campaign, theres not much else I would play.
So probably not a launch buy for me this time.

idk about you all but this sounds like they took all the good ideas from the OG cod mobile multiplayer mode and developed it for console/pc. I like it

This sounds all good but i just hope that Gulf War is a game that finally works good! Not like Cold War and MW3 where you have a lot of bugs and glitches. Or like in MW3, DC from the game or have game crashes the whole time.. Or they even abandoned the game after 1 season!
Tbh MW3 only had like 7 or 8 months of production since Activision kept sabotaging sledgehammer

The most important question for me is if it will continue with the over complicated attachment system or go back to the good old one. Cause I really don’t like the current class system overall I liked it more when we had fast mags 1 and 2 or QuickDraw 1 and 1 instead of o the hundreds of different attachments we have now.
Glad I don’t have to worry about zombie’s anymore since getting customs on PC lol
The only thing I need from COD is the campaign having some similarity to BO2, like different choices that strings into different ending and setting up your loadouts before entering the mission and getting all different types of weapons from the enemies and perking up differently. For zombies I just need my double tap coming back.

Im with you but they cant do that because making video games in California and thier gun laws nowadays is extremely tricky. Thats what I keep hearing every year when I see Taq 56 instead of Scar H :/
Gulf War already sounds great so far but there is one thing I do think Cod and many other games should take in consideration, I know their main goal is always to improve and do better, but sometimes they don't need to, what they have is already perfect and the most improved, and they end up changing it, for example zombies, it was already great for longest time, overtime they added things we really didn't need, some gaming companies really don't realize when their style is already perfect, no need to make changes (Gulf War campaign is an example too, I can't exactly judge since I haven't tried it but we all love the traditional way campaign has always been, I don't really see a reason to change it, they want to explore and update but us players don't want that, again we'll see how it is)
Money is gonna change the game again, like every cod
I say this all the time they have the formula for over decades yet still change it when it never needed change !
I think the zombies engine they made for cold war was so good that they can pretty much just use the same engine in gulf war. Maybe that can save development time idk
Honestly that change brought us the Cold War upgrade system and if they can improve it that would put a smile on my face.

They did have a lot of maps and Outbreak in Cold War, wouldnt be surprised if they had a few round based maps and Outbreak maps.

The campaign is sounding very similar to Halo Infinite, open world with vehicles but will still have some linear normal campaign missions.
Here I go getting excited over this lol looks promising but not getting my hopes up too much.

Just hope there’s more outbreak because it’s the only way I could get my gf to play zombies with me. As for perks and specials I’m hoping it’s more like a perk tree upgrade system and some variants are locked based on your choices similar to how diablo 4 did it. It would also be nice if there’s a zombies beta, because there’s just no reason to preorder it anymore. As for campaign I hope there’s less emphasis on finding intels to getting certain ends, it burnt me out looking for them and I never finished Cold War campaign because of it. Don’t really care about multiplayer since I think I only played it 5 or 6 times

MW19, and 22 have been my favorites and have provided the best overall quality of gameplay, and campaign.
Man, I'm glad my favorite aspect of the previous COD's campaign is sticking around. OPEN WORLD. WTF ARE THEY SMOKING? Open world totally kills immersion IMO and it just makes the whole thing feel a lot cheaper and less intimate.
I kinda like the idea of open world it’s cool but I like the classic style missions so so much better. At least in my opinion

Don't get me wrong...while I love the round based I also enjoy the timer part of the game also...I do miss the ability to pause the game and take a break.. I wish mw3 had stations to level up your weapon rarity or a place to buy a weapon mod like shatter blast etc... I really enjoy the fact you can have a whole lobby doing the red worm or a dozen destroying a mega...
I really hope that they bring fireteam back. I really don't get the hate. It was like Battlefield (Lite), which I really enjoyed. I'm surprised to see gameplay of it in this video, wondering if it's still possible to find a fireteam lobby. Can't find a match at all.
