Thanks for hosting the Direct, Ed! It was an honour to kick it off with Abomi Nation, and doubly an honour to be crossing over with all these great indie games. Happy to be a part of this big monster-taming family!
@@xavierperes It'll depend how the Kickstarter goes, but that's the goal! The first game is on Switch, and it's actually 50% off right now for the next 12 hours or so.
Man, there's just something really funny to me that you are essentially the person to have announced this information in the first place, but now you have to go back and cover it again in an official manner.
Been enjoying Digital Tamers 2 so far, after updating the game today I figured I should donate to the creator as clearly a lot of love has been put into the game and feels like a crime that it's free. I appreciate you giving games like these a spotlight, I was even unaware of the first digital tamers game until I heard the 2nd game was in development on this channel when I started watching.
Monster Taming thriving more and more each year. We LOVE to see it! Thanks for hosting an awesome annual event to get our indie games out there in a big way.
Thank you Ed and Berry for another amazing monster taming direct! Watching it live was a blast! On another note, I love how Monster Crown 2 looks so far.
You know people aren’t mad at coromon and Abomi nation having rouge like spin offs. But Temtem swarm is. Maybe because both companies know the creatures are characters and unlike Crema game director like Yaw who abuses his design and writers that they left to a new studio to create a game called Oppidum
Thanks for the direct Ed I watch every minute of it with a friend of mine who isn’t a monster tamer at all, and got some real deal objective feedback from a non-fan. I’m just so excited for our genre and for your page.
Hi my friend, I've been subscribed to your channel for a while now. I don't understand English, so I usually use the subtitle translator. I live in Brazil. I love these monster collection games. I would like to ask you to put the name of the game on the screen while the video is playing so we can search for the games later. Sometimes it's hard to know which game it is because of the translation. Thank you in advance.
It would be nice if the games in the direct were sorted according to their release status. Especially those that are released already or releasing within a month or so. Most of the time when I'm (and I'm assuming others too) looking at videos like these I'm also looking for games to actually play right now. I couldnt actually bring myself to sift through the entire direct for games that are already released or releasing soon, and got disinterested when I saw so many without even a planned release date
They finally released roco kingdom in china (I think it's still in beta) and from what I could see they took everything that was done in the latest 3D pokemon games and made it better, on an artistic level it's a real treat for the eyes , the gameplay seems like the classic Pokemon one but here too I notice a lot of cleanliness and everything seems to flow smoothly. I hope you cover this game and that it comes out in a western version too.
I am as surprised as you, I never thought botworld would get an actual title game. I hope they aren’t scummy with how they work their system, I’ll pay for the game as long as it’s all there and the micro transactions are cut out.
Monster Crown is one of my favorite non-Pokémon monster taming games. I’m looking forward to Monster Crown 2. I’m not loving the new protagonist, though. 😅
He visto su canal con los videos de noticias y tengo la duda de como funciona el monster direct? Se tiene que enviar las propuestas de juegos a un e-mail o algo así?

It's sad that the original Monster Crown is left in such a bad state but I guess if the sequel is good it's not all bad(?)
Cant watch the video rn cause I'm workin but idk if you saw or if the devs reached out to you yet but the corpsemen finally had their full release for the game recently
There were a lot of problems with the first monstercrown because it was designed on an old buggy engine amongst other issues like publishers and such. Unfortunately i dont think most of the original MC1 bugs are ever going to be fixed. Monster crown 2 is on a new engine and is going to be directly produced without a publisher
I tried Monster Crown on Switch and loved it until I got hard locked in an ice cave and there is no help but to start a whole new game :( hope the next one isn't as buggy.
5:40 Botworld ist actually quite fun to play. BUT it's one of these games which pretends that it's multiplayer. Like with faked ranked matches and micro transaction. That's one of these annoying mobile trends.
That's because it IS a mobile game, or at least it started off as one, so seeing it for both Steam and Switch now is surprising. It's a good game, a hidden gem, at least for when it first released. You can get everything without paying (IIRC, and the ones you can't are just cosmetics, but it's been a LONG time since I've played, so things could be different now). I encourage everyone to give it a try as it was pretty unique at the time, but I wouldn't sink money into it.
This is why I’m sick of the comments from people begging for TemTem to be offline, it’s the one niche mmo like pet tamer game. Theres so many offline single player monster catching games out there.
Aren't the people calling for it to be shifted offline doing so because the devs have stopped working on it and they're worried they would lose everything if they ever discontinued the online servers and the game wasn't shifted offline? (Just like other mmos that stopped their service entirely)
Maybe because the MMO aspect in Temtem is horrible and poorly implemented. TemTem being offline can lead to the game having mods which would breath new life into the game.
I think it would be cool that there would be an offline feature, considering there is a physical cartridge it doesn’t make sense to make it fully online. What happens if they decide to shut the servers off? I’d like to have the reassurance that my physical cartridge doesn’t become useless as well. It’s the whole reason I buy the physical copy
Your reasoning is because it's something different, and not because people who have the game don't want to lose progress and people who can't play it because it's always online want to play it? Fucking dumb.
The reason i complain about online only games is because i want to own the stuff I buy. I dont want my progress, mons and hard worked hours to just evaporate because the servers go down. If a developer promised an offline mode when servers go down, then it is completely reasonable to keep it online only during its lifespan. Other online only games like battle royals i really dont care about because im not really progressing in the game
