This track plays when you’re on board a massive superweapon that is trying to destroy the sun,and of course,we’re trying to stop it. 6:29 this part right here is super memorable and stuck with me for ever,you enter a huge pipe that is sucking planet Mercury soil to power the weapon,and the pipe is see-through so you can see the entire sun really close and many other spaceships around you. It was so immersive,I remember replaying this mission a couple of times just to experience it again.

What is scary is that Michael has been in Bungie since 1997, if he got laid off after 26 years. How the employees that got left can feel? They maybe are thinking that no one is safe. On another Note I want to recommend the First Disciple. Such an amazing, powerful track that feels what it is in game a constant battle between Light and Dark.
I agree. First Disciple is an absolute banger of a boss theme. Which is while I'll also recommend it and Oneirophobia
You'll need to check out "The First Disciple" from Destiny 2's the Witch Queen. Awesomely dark themes going on in that one!
The music of destiny is so phenomenal. Journey and Deep Stone Lullaby are some of my favorite orchestral pieces from the whole franchise.
The good news about Salvatori is that the whole soundtrack for The Final Shape was finished back in July, so his music will still be with us during the final chapters of this 10 year saga. Very looking forward to his final pieces. Everything has been so memorable, so I'm glad you took on at least one song from the franchise!
fucking THANK you for recognizing how well made journey is. i feel like ive never heard anyone appreciate journey before, and its probably the best soundtrack in the entirety of the franchise.
Hearing Salvatori and Sechrist got laid off was incredibly tough to grasp. Salvatori especially has been a staple name in Bungie's music. I just do not know how they could possibly hope to replace him.
Well now the games future music will suck and ruin the whole game. Is bungie trying to sink destiny into the ground? because they keep going against the fans wishes for no apparent reason.

@@aquatic682 It turns out the game is good at the minute with all the riven stuff. I already heard a remixed version of one of the forsaken songs during one of the boss fights which says to me the music is just going to be reused from what was already there.

I love how informational your videos are. Having my favorite songs and music broken down is very satisfying to watch. Really recommend listening to Destiny 1 "Sepiks Redux", its also by Michael Salvatori and is one of my favorite songs in the Destiny

This is one of the songs that when I'm in orbit and its playing, I use to just listen to the end, sometime before I start the next activity.
I love destiny music and was sad to hear about the layoff of Michael Salvatori and Michael Sechrist (he was responsible for deep stone lullaby that you analyzed too). I could listen to your destiny music reacts all day, please do more :D
My absolute favorites are First disciple and Oneirophobia (these 2 are final boss music, so generally they change when we do something in the fight, including finally damaging the boss) but there's so many more. Beyond light - replicate, last wish - riven of a thousand voices, last wish queenswalk (shell of what was) etc
2:19 reminds me a lot of the Halo Reach main theme, with that swelling choral and the low horns beneath it.

I have no clue about music but I know what I like and i LOVE this! It's a masterpiece! I have it now on my phone as a ringing melody.
It was introduced with the Red War campaign, but now I'm sure I've heard it on several different "strikes" whenever there's a big fight happening. This music just makes anything you see on screen suddenly: EPIC.
There are many astounding tracks in Destiny and Destiny 2, but some of them go way beyond the term of 'iconic'. The Journey, the Gambit OST, the Aksis theme, the Regicide, the Sepiks Prime/Perfected OST variations. But there are two tracks that are, albeit "simplistic" in some ways, absolutely sublime because of that very simplicity. Because their simplicity is the simplicity of a Genius.
The first track is "A God on Mars" from Destiny 2: Warmind expansion.
The second is "Lament" from Destiny 2: Beyond Light expansion.
These two are beyond anything else Salvatori and the others have ever made.
So ther‘s also a Song called Oneirophobia from the expansion Lightfall. It‘s the Theme of the Raidboss Nezarec. But if you listen to it, take the raid Version not the offical song, because they shortend it down and skipt a few cool parts like the first damage phase. Sry for spelling mistakes.

I highly recommend listening to the boss track “Oneirophobia”, specifically the ingame Raid version. the official track is missing really good sections that only the ingame version has. i recommend listening to the one posted by the channels ‘Promethean’ or ‘Naver’. i would link either one, but idk if youtube would let me 🥲

as someone who has no technical knowledge but a deep love of the complexities of composition, d2 music is some of my favorite in gaming (and i've played a lot of games). if you haven't checked out "the first disciple" or "watchtower" i would love to hear your thoughts on those, maybe you can articulate what i think are so cool about them so i can actually know what words i should be using instead of just going "when it goes BA BA BA and the motif comes in and goes BAAAAA it's fuckin SICK"
You've gotta listen to the Warmind DLC soundtracks for sure. Some of the best soundtracks in the game.

Tony! I would like to recommend some songs off of the Battlefield 1 soundtrack. Some are quite similar to this. In particular, I like Dawn of a New Time. Its so majestic. Aside from that, Enemy of My Enemy from the original Modern Warfare 2 soundtrack would be a blast to see.

I dont know if you will see this but if you do i suggest reacting to "the man they called cayde" it's also another song from destiny 2 and it's in my opinion the best piece of music in destiny 2.

Hey Tony! i noticed you never reacted to Seven Deadly Sins soundtrack which was composed by the same composer as in Attack on Titan Hiroyuki Sawano. It was a huge Anime with a goated soundtrack like attack on titan. If you could please react to Big Zaizaizai - Hiroyuki Sawano, it has that same dramatic grandiose orchestra vibe as was the case for AOT that a lot of fans love.
In terms of video game music how about Camazotz's Battle Theme from Fate/Grand Order

Please listen to temptation (from destiny), it will be a very different theme to what you are used to with destiny, it has very interesting electric percussive elements.
