yeah, that wasn't so bad, but the story definitely jumped the shark though, it became way too convoluted and nonsensical for its own good, it really lost its way.. even the metal gear storyline doesn't go off the rails as much as the KH story does
@@danzaikh2 is a pretty solid story. It’s not until later it starts to get abit crazy
@@makisbizarreadventure4669 agreed, I actually like KH2.. but I kind of regret playing anything after it. I don't think any other game gets close to this level of nonsense
If she thought Roxas was sad, then hoo boy, her reaction to Xion
. . . Even i cried during that, and games rarely make me cry.
The movie ain't the same as Fighting Armored Xion in the DS. I didn't want to fight her.
@@WindyREDPanda OH yeah, they're not the same experience at all, I'm glad I did make sure to beat the game itself, and I must say, I felt the same.
Same - it’s a shame they never remade it properly.
The roxas fight is one of my favorites moments in gaming in general, its absolutely breathtaking!!!
I spent countless hours as a kid just riding around Twilight Town on that skateboard. The sound of the of that jump is seared into my memory haha. Glad you loved the game. It's one of my favorites and it makes me very happy that people are still experiencing it for the first time. Cheers!
Your reactions to these games are so wholesome.
I truly appreciate your earnest and sincere emotional reactions to these games. There's so much in Kingdom Hearts that makes it easy to want to write off the whole experience with a sense of ironic detachment, but watching you fully engage with the story is so great. It reminds me of my first time playing them as a child.
After the kh1 video i watched all of the vods for the rest of the kingdom hearts series and something that SHOULDNT be understated is how leigh was like lvl 32 for the marluxia fight and like mid 40s for the sephiroth fight, TRULY EPIC
I never thought I’d exist in the timeline where someone said “Sora has a Devil Trigger” on stream, and it wasn’t said by Woolie Madden.
Dude, i want him to play through kingdom hearts so much
@@tigerfestivals5137 He and Matt did start an LP of KH Final Mix...but they only made it as far as the Ursula boss fight...it was also the last Super Best Friends LP before the Zaibatsu officially disbanded to pursue their solo careers.
@@ZeOHKay Yep, and it hurt to see. I'd love to see Woolie give the series another shot eventually, because it seemed like he was having fun.
@@AstralMuffin105 Same here.
"Looks like my summer vacation is over" is still one of my favorite lines in a game
It's such a simple sentence but it says so much and we understand it completely. The delivery of it is brilliant too.
15:08 What you said there could very well be a line from a Kingdom Hearts game. God, I love Roxas so much 😭😭😭
Your reaction to this game made me a subscriber. I grew up with this game I'm 31 watching this over again brought so many memories and feelings this game will always have a special place in my heart. The music, the themes, the atmosphere, etc it all resonates in me..... Now I gotta play it again lol thank you for helping me remember those times again😀.
Sad to see the secret bosses of the organization & LW aren't here 😩
But love the fact that Riku's keyblade is named "the way to the Dawn", after his journey in Re:CoM. Such a good game 😍😩
i wish she at least had included the secret endings even if its just her reacting to them on youtube
I come back to your Kingdom Hearts reactions all the time and it actually fills me with so much joy. Kingdom hearts has been apart of my life for over 20 years, it was honestly the first really important thing to me. It's Incredibly cathartic to see someone get emotional at the same places in the story. You likely won't see this but thank you.
I remember being the same about Goofy, laughing at it like " haha silly goofy " Then i was all like " No no no no not my fuckin boy "
Imagine if that's actually how he died.
@@65firered I at least wish they played it out for a while longer. Like past the 1000 heartless or something.
I'm still mad that they played a fake-death with a random rock from a random Heartless that was atacking a random Nobody.
The scene with Axel and Roxas after his boss battle was so emotional I cried like a fricking BABY!
Don't like Donald? Wait until he finds out you can cook. "This might be a good place to find some ingredients!"
aàaaaaaaaaaaah
oh god don't trigger my PTDD.
Post traumatic Duck disorder
@@TheUltimateRare GENIUS
My dude needed those ingredients to cook up his super secret sauce attack. All these years holding that mp like a banker, it was all for that one juicy Zettaflare, a move so powerful its pretty much exclusive to final boss characters and even then its very rare.
I’m screamingggg!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
It's extremely impressive how KH2 instantly makes Roxas clique with practically all players.
Watching this after coming fresh off Sora in Smash got me crying 3 days in a row XD
Seeing you play through the series on Twitch was a great period of life, and thanks again for sharing it again here!
Looking forward to the rest. :)
donald: we'll never say good bye!
"no. donald. we're leaving."
kh2 really is pain, but its so so good. every time i replay the game i do it on critical and just have an absolute blast with it
I wanna finish the franchise before coming back to Kingdom Hearts 2, but I’m having a bit of a hard time with their “really important story elements on the random system of the day” design philosophy they had going after KH2.
I’ve been waiting for your KH2 journey ever since your KH journey. These games are such a huge part of my childhood and are very special to me so it’s wonderful to be able to see someone else experience them for the first time and appreciate them as much as i do 🗝💛
I've never seen someone feel this hard at some of these cheesey games I love, this is why I'm so hype about these channel uploads. Leigh feels SO MUCH for games' emotional narrative, all the dorkiness and hamminess of the content aside.
I love all of your kingdom hearts videos, but this is the one I was looking forward to the most. KH2 holds a special place in my heart and remains my favorite game in the Kingdom Hearts series to this day. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, watching you on this journey is reminding me why I love this series so much. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Leigh: "This is so cool"
Seconds later: *Axel dies*
Watching someone play kingdom hearts for the first time really pulls my childhood heart strings. These will always be my favorite games. And given I’ve played them so many times they’re obviously not new to me anymore so seeing them be new to someone else and their reactions almost brings out that magic from my childhood of playing the first time
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and being so vulnerable! This series really resonates with me, too! SO happy you're having a great time playing and making great memories! Lots of love!
This was very beautiful seeing you go through all those emotional moments. From the biggest plot developments to the smallest gameplay changes, it reminds me of when I played KH2 with my sister after it just dropped in 2006 for us. Thank you.
Sora leaving twilight town is one of the most emotional and beautiful moments of the series imo, everything from the meaning to the tear to the music choice is all so much
I remember having a similar reaction to 3:35 . I was thinking "GOD DAMMIT GAME, YOU CAN'T JUST SAY A BUNCH OF REAL LIFE SHIT LIKE THAT IN MY WACKY WAHOO DISNEYLAND ADVENTURES"
7:00 hearing Destati and standing at the stations feels so otherworldly its hard not to get emotional
28:14 was the moment the series decided it was going to do whatever it wanted, whenever it wanted.
This is beautiful. Watching this wonderful journey through the eyes of someone that is experiencing it for the first time. Thank you for this
I’m glad I’m not the only one that cry’s this much while playing kh games. I don’t even know how many times I’ve replayed the series and it still makes me cry. Amazing, glad you loved it
I was crying then laughed at "Roxas gets everything taken from him, even his money" so yeah I'm an emotional rollercoaster right now. XD
It's always interesting seeing other people's reactions to the whole Roxas thing and how they differ from mine.
I was so jealous of you through this whole thing. I've played this so many times I rush through everything with some speedrun strats and skip all the cut-scenes. To experience it truly fresh for the first time would be such a gift. Great vid!
15:10 Or how Danzo in Naruto puts it:
"You were the leaves, basking in the sunlight. I was the root, growing in the darkness"
i'm going through a pretty bad break up right now & watching you playing through one of my childhood games did put a smile on my face and helped go through this day ♡ thank you! and i cant wait to see your other reactions to the rest of the franchise
I was LITERALLY just thinking about this yesterday since I finished your KH1 vid. Glad I get to catch you play my favorite KH! Can’t wait to see you play Birth by Sleep, my second fave.
15:55 That was so sweet of you to never overwrite the first save file containing Roxas' end... Wow, I knew the game was absurdly deep in emotions, but wow, I never thought that you'd do that... But congrats, you're slowly becoming a Kingdom Hearts (weeb) diehard fan.
Watching her cry while fighting Roxas actually made me recry all over again and it’s not like I’ve played the game 20 times. The games something else :)
dont take this the wrong way.
out of all the suffering i've seen Roxas' un-existance inflict on people, yours is my new favorite
I can only imagine how much work it must have been to edit this all down, but thank you so much for doing so. These games also mean the world to me and watching you experience them for the first time really brought back so many feelings I remember from the first time I played. You really brought back the magic to these games again. Thank you
"Sora's got a Devil Trigger?" That for me was the best line.
Oh my god they were to Smash is the best comment I ve ever seen related to Cloud fighting Sephiroth (even better now that Sora went after them too).
As someone who played this game many times religiously as a kid, this video gave me laughs, joy, and teary eyed the way you reacted to a lot of the scenes since it’s your first time playing this game! It was definitely a treat rewatching KH2 again bringing back good ol memories I wish I could relive.
Found you in my recommendations on Twitch when you started streaming KH2. Your journey through Kingdom Hearts was one of my favorites to watch. Thank you for the journey!
Such a pleasure to watch this amazing game with you, I'm so looking forward to see the next, literally I LOVE your reactions and I've cried when you did, please please, upload the next video as soon as you can, LOVE YOU!
If you're going through this series, I'll tell you the one line that makes men playing this game cry as much as you were.

Roxas, my absolute favorite video game character. CANT WAIT to see your reaction to Days.
These videos are fantastic, keep it up!
No wonder this took so long cause you kept having to take crying breaks. Glad you enjoyed kh2 though, it's my favorite game in the series and holds a special place in my heart. Love to see sora in smash and this video was like the cherry on top.
Made me emotional just watching ! I love this series ♥️ glad you enjoyed.
"Oh, this is so lovely!"
Ah, yes, one of the best parts of a new KH game: listening to the new version of Dearly Beloved on the title screen before playing.
aww, leigh. amazing work! this is so thoughtful and respectful that i bet roxas is running around trying to find you to give you a big hug after watching it. thanks for all the work you put into it!
"I'm sure Sora will get the marble too"

@@schuylersilverstein1935 I meant the series as a whole dating back to the first one, but yeah, this is a kingdom hearts 2 video so my bad
The special effect of the keyblade of the Two become one is to increase the number of times you may transform into Anti-Sora
I thought it increased the odds of unlocking final form?
@@Xdylan3131 I believe that there is sone mechanic tied to it that can do that, something to do with statistics of the game but its been a number if years since I looked the info up but it mostly results in Anti Sora
Watching you play these games for the first time makes me feel so many feelings. Seeing you play reminds me of why I feel in love with the games in the first place. Thank you!
"I'm so glad this game exists"
Exactly my feeling. Everytime when I'm on a bad time, I play this game one more time. It just makes me feel so good, so comfortable...
The payoff when Sora finds that Kairi added to his drawing during the credits is *SO POWERFUL,* since it's been built up to since the credits of KH1... That part of the music that plays during that gets stuck in my head pretty often too.
You're the cutest thing in the world. xDD Your reactions are so genuine. Its nice to see you so involved in this series.
You are just a wonderfully pure person, this series was made just for you.
