I don't own the game, I'm waiting for price reductions and above all an optimization patch because according to my feedback currently Vega 8 can only run the game in 720P with FSR activated. Poor visual quality and framerate drops.
Your APU is capable of running BG3, but the problem is that you only have 8GB RAM. Check if your laptop has a motherboard with a free RAM slot that's not soldered, and see if you can add an 8GB RAM strip to upgrade to 16GB RAM Dual Channel.
FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution). Its principle is to calculate the image of the game in a lower definition (e.g. 720P) and then enlarge it to the size of the screen (e.g. 4K), then improve the quality of the image using different algorithms, as well as performance. It's a very interesting feature.
If your question is in terms of a Ryzen 7 5700U vs. Ryzen 7 5700G comparison, in theory the 5700U's performance will be roughly similar, very slightly inferior to the 5700G depending on the game, as the latter has a slightly less powerful integrated graphics chip. If your question is about 16GB vs. 32GB RAM, in the vast majority of cases, yes, it will work the same. 32G RAM is mainly for high settings and high resolution in recent games, which the Ryzen 7 5700U can't do. However, if you're playing big-budget AAA games, I'd still advise you to get 32GB RAM if you can, because games are getting more and more demanding, and this may be necessary in the future. If you want the best possible performance from this APU's integrated graphics chip (Vega8), it's mainly a question of RAM frequency and latency. Ideally, you want the highest frequency (MT's/Mhz) and the lowest latency (CAS).
@@LoKisTeN7 Thanks a lot for your response! I'm actually trying to play this same game and I was curious if I wil lstill have the same performance as the 5700G but with this answer I know I can play it now and regarding the integrated graphic it is supposed to be Vega 8 as far as I understand (Radeon Graphics 8?) and I found on internet that in fact is supposed to be Vega 8 but I'm not quite sure how that works as I'm a noobie on this matter.
@@LoKisTeN7 This is what internet says about it, but again i'm not sure how this works xd "The AMD Ryzen 7 5700U is an APU of the Lucienne product family designed for leaner laptops. The Ryzen features eight Zen 2 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz (base clock speed) to 4.3 GHz (Boost) as well as a Vega 8 iGPU. Thread-doubling SMT tech is enabled in this CPU for up to 16 concurrent processing threads."
@@evolandia95 Yes, that's it, the 5700U and the 5700G both have an integrated Vega 8 chip, that of the 5700G is a little better, it has a higher frequency and the possibility of overclocking (increasing its values) but overall the performance remain similar between the two. These two processors are APUs (Accelerated Processing Unit) which means that they both have a graphics part in this case Vega 8. Vega 8 runs the vast majority of games with graphics capabilities. As you can see in the video Baldur's Gate 3 runs correctly with these APUs for example with a resolution of 1080P you have to put the presets on low and activate the FSR on Quality in the graphics options of the game.
If your RAMs are dual-channel, yes, that'll be enough. If they're single-channel, I'm afraid it won't be enough. To find out if you're dual-channel, install the CPU-Z software: download.cpuid.com/cpu-z/cpu-z_2.08-en.exe Once it's open, click on the Memory tab at the top. Look under Channel # if it says Dual it's good.

1080p low 30 fps with fsr enabled this apu is insane
Yes, it's great to see that you can play the majority of games with this APU, thanks in particular to the FSR.
Good job, dude! With 32GB 4000/4133 cl16/17 ram should be even better! Good luck! xD
Yes, no doubt. I wish I'd had as good a RAM kit to try out ^^
max freq with 5700g is 3200
@@evvilanngel HAHAHA 5600G and 5700G can run even ddr4 4733! There are many videos here on YT about that.
Impressive it runs
Wouldn't mind seeing Immortals Aveum tested.

Are the memories in dual channel?
Yes
Do you think a ryzen 7 5800h and and vega 8 8GB will run this game smoothly?

how come you get better frame rate with FSR

Hi, yes the game runs on R5700U with Low graphics presets as well as with FSR enabled.
