I've this sealed unit, and my key wouldn't work, even after driving an hour.
To cut open and solder the key is not something I, a 67 year old lady can do, and BMW themselves will charge a fortune.
But I've found a hack!
To get the cell fully charged, lay it for an hour or more on the docking station of your electric toothbrush!. Bingo! It works!
I've now ordered an inductive charger for my cell phone and I can charge the car keys too!

Perchè non funziona il telecomando una volta sostituita la batteria 3v vl2020 panasonic rispettando le polarità sbaglio qualche cosa la carica della batteria è 2.85v

You should have jsut say the battery charges when one put into the ignition wirelessly...Instead of trying to change the battery, buy cutting the fob!
