While this dragon doesn’t breathe fire, it’s still a legendary creature that has been instilling joy (and fear) into its passengers for decades. Unrelenting speed and loops are just some of this coaster's tricks. Riders are securely buckled in, then sit back and enjoy the climb up 78 feet (23.77M) to its peak, where they travel at speeds of 50 kilometers per hour down the hill and through 4 inversions including 2 loops, a corkscrew and a helix. This action-packed roller coaster is a family favourite. Many people have experienced their first roller coaster loops on this beast, and many more will continue to do so for years to come.
I had never been on a looping coaster and choose this as my first one. There was no line so we ended up on it 3 times. As someone scared of height I kept my eyes open the whole time and I had a blast. 100000% recommended.

@@quitted590 I really enjoyed it. If you sit near the back you feel the loop, if you sit near the front you feel the pressure so I like to sit in the middle closer to the front :)
This ride is extremely underrated, those 2 loops and the drop are amazing, especially in the back.

This ride got me over my fear of looping coasters. It’s a short ride with a short line. I rode it 6 times in a row! So much fun.
First “real” roller coaster I ever rode. Still just as good 10 years later.

FACT: Dragon Fyre is the only Arrow Looper to have corkscrews that turn to the left. Also it’s nice they turned it back to Fyre and not the generic Fire they had for decades.
I wish they never tear this thing down because then we won’t have an Arrow custom looper that has a counter-clockwise corkscrew
It's not the only one to be built with counter-clockwise corkscrews. Drachen Fire also had them during the years when it operated.
Another fun fact is they built this ride with 3 trains, however they later realized they could only ever run 2 at a time, so the third was and still is used on the bat

I just went to canadas wonderland today and this was the rollercoaster I rode, and also the first I've ever rode. I loved it. I went on it like 4 times.

well technically the highest point on 90% of rides is the break run because the top of the chairlift is a break run

I love how this was the first coaster for so many people. It was my first true coaster, and I've loved them since.
I find this ride super fun especially in the back. I found this ride really smooth in the back surprisingly and even in the front. It may be a bit jerky but it isn't as rough as others like it :) One of the better Arrow Dynamics custom loopers out there
My most recent ride on dragon fyre was in the middle and its was rough after the first 2 loops due to bad arrow transisions
@@d-town7499 Yeah it does have that Arrow roughness but that's to be expected in that era of roller coasters. All steel coasters were hand bent at that time.

I started riding this ride since I was 9 and I love it! This was also my first roller coaster with loops and flips. I definitely recommend this ride!

It might be a bit scary the first few times, but overall it's a great ride! Its not tall at all (compared to leviathan and other roller coasters) and it only flips over like 3-4 times. It's a good starter ride if you want to face your fear of roller coaster/hights/drops! :)
First looper I ever went on in the summer of 91. This coaster will always hold a special place for me.
since 1985 Dragon fyre is my first and last coaster when I got o Wonderland. I love this ride it was my first looping coaster I ever did.

This was the first “big” roller coaster ive been in and it scared me a lot but it was pretty fun with all the loops ngl
For me, this rollercoaster is a 5/5. I used to be very scared of rollercoasters but when I went to wonderland near the end of May I walked right in here. It was scary going up at first, because that’s pretty normal with rollercoasters. One con is that during the loops, my head flew forwards because I had forgot to put my head back, and the next day my neck was a little sore, but I’m not gonna blame that on the rollercoaster because it was kinda my fault. Over all, this was one of the best rollercoaster experiences I have ever had, and in the end I ended up really enjoying this. It’s now my go-to coaster at wonderland.
When I went to Canadas wonderland absolute scared of rollercoasters my sister and my dad were going on here (I was actually scared lol) I went on it and it was super fun later that day I went on it again, the funnest part is keeping your eyes open
It's always my first choice when going to the park, line is always 5 minutes tops.
This was my first coaster with loops and my first coaster where I didn’t close my eyes on the drop😂

I remember as a young teenager my dad took me here with my step sisters, all 5 of us. There was some event happening at the nearby pirate ship in a pond, and it was late at night before close. IIRC there was a fireworks even planned. Well myself and the 2 oldest all left to go ride this as it was basically right beside where we were standing and had nobody there. The guy running it let us take the front 3 seats and just kept it going until some other kids noticed, there was like 10 of us going around non stop the entire fireworks duration, like 10 minutes straight. Eventually after the fireworks ended people started coming up the line again so we had to get off haha, great memories. the park closed like an hour later and I remember passing out in the car ride home just grinning from ear to ear.
This feels so weird to watch, I swear this is the only ever time I have seen an Arrow Corkscrew coaster with the corkscrews going to the left... every other one has them going to the right and it's giving me an existensial crisis
Cool fact: This ride use to have three trains. That's why there is that brake run after the corkscrews. The third train was used for the Bat.
This rollercoaster is amazing!Actually,it’s the first rollercoaster that I’ve been on that has loops!I used to be so scared of the loops,but after I rode this ride,WOW,I had no fear of loops after that
This was my first actual coaster, I was all afraid, never went on a trilling ride. Went on this, had the time of my life, was an empty day, I went on this would my cousins at least 12-13 times in a row.
One of the best rides at Canada Wonderland and for its age it's so smooth. It's super underrated so I can go 3 to 4 times an hour.

This was my first ever roller coaster at wonderland and my first ever roller coaster in general. I came here only two days after moving from Jamaica to Canada last year
Dragon fyre: 8/10. Amazing ride. Lots of inversions but the only thing keeping it from a 9/10 is the constant head banging
This is the first upside down roller coaster I ever went on, and my Dad said if we were gonna do it, we were going big and sat me right there in front.

I rather Enjoyed this Ride on Victoria Day in 2019. It's a classic but a fun one as long as they take good care of this very Special ride. I had my eyes open for the last 2 corkscrew loops and it looked neat and different.
wonderland needs more mid-scary rides like this. after this one, backlot stunt coaster, the fly, vortex and a couple others you're either going a kilometer an hour or upside down 4 times and down a 400ft drop
As someone who has been on this ride PLENTY of times, it’s a lot faster and the drop is deeper. Overall I luv it sm 💗
The first time I came to wonderland, I rode this and my head was always down and I never opened my eyes. Then on the 2nd time, my head was not down and I opened my eyes a few times. On the 3rd time, I opened my eyes completely and my head never went down, but let me tell you, your head always hits somewhere, so you are in a water. It's like you're here and you may have a headache, my positive comment is that it's really fun and exciting, I really liked it.
Love this ride its so fun the loops are amazing too
One of my fondest memories of Wonderland is getting to the park and hearing this ride from the parking lot.

Dragon Fyre is one of my favourite roller coasters at Canada's wonderland.

This roller coaster was the first one I ever went on when I got my 48 inch purple band. I felt like such a big kid lining up for this.
You can tell it has gotten tougher over the years but there is almost always no line and it is fun the whole time. When I rode it, the train was going faster than usual and the trims didn’t do much so it was more intense than usual
Back in the 90s my friend and I used to get off run back around and ride again as the line was the shortest. I must of rode this coaster at least 40 times. Very fond memories. Crazy how much has changed around it. When I first went on the water flip ride wasn't even there yet and the whole surrounding area was empty of houses/businesses.
First time i went on this I was so tense then after the double corkscrew I was so hype, I thought it was over then i let go to stretch for some reason. AND THEN IT DROPPED AND I STARTED SCREAMING. My friend started dying laughing. One of my best memories on a ride.

This was my first real roller coster , and i was screaming for help the entire time, because the loops felt so wierd!

Some people who are dealing with illness in their head/brain like migrane... Roller coasters with LOOPS are very dangerous for them.
It can easily increase the dizziness and vision loss.
I live in Bangladesh and dealing with these kind of chronic pains but I'm a big fan of roller coasters.
I wish one day I will be able to travel many countries and ride all the roller coasters ❤️

My second rollercoaster ever, I did it yesterday and my friend was screaming F*CK F*CK F*CK the whole time lollll, we did it again in the front and it was AWESOME i loved how much the intensity increased

This is the first Rollercoaster I ever rode. My dad forced me on, and I never looked back I was crying and everything and laughing after.

this ride gave people more CTE than any other ride ever.

It’s one of the smoothest looping coasters in the world so if you go to Canada’s Wonderland make sure to go on dragon fyre if it’s not broken down

I was just at Canadas wonderland today and I went on the dragon fyre and it was the same tracks as the behemoth and leviathan and the Yukon stricker
I chose this as my first rollercoaster, 1 year ago and I didn't know what was happening (I had never rode one before) and it was kinda scary
I was so afraid of this ride when I was a kid, now it's lame compared to the next generation of roller coasters, but its a legacy ride now and even better than ever with age

This ride is actually really fun coming from someone who is absolutely horrified of heights. Just made sure to keep your head back firmly or your head will bang side to side on the loops😅
