Deep within the valley lies a mythical creature with enormous strength, which no man can begin to control. Those brave enough, will set out on a quest to conquer Behemoth - which as its name indicates - is an extremely large and powerful being.
With no upper-body restraints, this monstrous creature will have you clinging to the edge of your seat as it takes you up 230 feet. Your anticipation will build and your heart will race while you try to take in some of the breathtaking views of its surrounding area (including the 20-acre water park). Once you reach the peak, this adrenaline-pumping beast will send you speeding down at a 75 degree angle of descent with speeds reaching 125 kilometers per hour in just 3.9 seconds! Do you think you can control this creature? There’s only one way to find out.

This was the first rollercoaster I went on when I went to Canada’s wonderland.
Me and my friends had gotten to the park early in the morning and saw on a tv screen that the wait time for a ride called “behemoth” was only estimated to be 2 minutes. So we ran across the park to get to it, got on immediately, and as soon as the cart turned the corner to get to the hill, my stomach dropped as i realized what I had just gotten on. So I spent the agonizingly long minute the carts take to get to the top of the hill panicking, and when we finally dropped, I screamed so hard that I hit a point where I was physically unable to scream anymore. When we hit the end of the ride there was a line of tears that went back into my face, and I was so jittery my legs literally felt like they were gonna fall off.
The we did it again immediately after because the line was still short. Great way to start my experience.
Thank you for telling us that experience! I love hearing how ppl feel and what it does to them,cause that's the fun of it or the fear of it depending on how you look at it . I'm terrified of coasters and it was at Canada's Wonderland that I lost my scream too!! I couldn't hear anything coming out and I lost my voice and scream as I flew down on The Bat! It was many many years ago and I still remember the day I lost my scream! And I grew up in Crystal Beach so it was very scary . @Baal everybody’s different. Some people freeze up while others scream when facing something scary, that’s perfectly natural.
if your scared of this ride i’m telling you, GO ON you will feel so accomplished after and not regret it one bit. best experience ever.

I’m not a roller coaster person and this one really made me feel like I was flying
My 7 year old daughter is just tall enough to go on this ride and wanted too give it a go . We sat in the front, , as a father I thought I made a grave mistake as we approached the top .it was scary as we are from planet earth but at the end she was laughing and happy ,I was so proud of her I teared up. My daughter is so brave. She also ate drop zone up like a snack after this .

@Mel00000w I went back on my own got a fast lane and hit up all the rides . Yukon is pritty good . I would not bring my daughter on that one though . Would be alittle too much . Her favorite ride was still the merry go round as she is 7 .
My thoughts on the Behemoth experience:
A truly glorious feeling soaring through the air! Easily one of my favourite coasters at Canada's Wonderland, and a great reason to put this park on your must-do list.
TheRandomView i’ve been there so much to the point it’s boring to go and wait in line for something i’ve already rode many times.
Behemoth is a very good coaster, I've been on it 14 times!
When I went, the line was long but it went by fast

i went on this ride for the first time today. wow. just wow. the povs truly do not do it justice. i was so incredibly horrified to go on this ride but now, i wish i had gone on it sooner, just like any other roller coaster, the anticipation you are faced with on the ride up is the worst part. i can wholeheartedly say that once you get through the first 2 seconds of the first drop, there is nothing left to be scared of. breath on the way up, distract yourself (i repeatedly said "its just minebuster but slightly taller and much smoother" until i had said it so many times i couldn't possibly believe anything else), lean your head back and hook your foot around the thing in front of you (its only there for the seats closer together so it is those seats that i recommend for first timers), scream when you need to, hold on when you need to, breath when you can. its not that bad, you can do this, and once you have experienced this ride- i say this from first-hand experience- you truly do feel unstoppable.

I still remember the first time I rode the Behemoth. It was the first real roller coaster I had ever been on. The initial climb was hell but once that drop starts, and the adrenaline hits. Damn. What a ride.

I love how you can’t even scream on the first drop, the speed of air slamming into your face is faster than you can push it out with your lungs, it’s fucking wild!

This ride is nothing to play with for the weakened hearts. Pure thrill, action and lots of airtime. Looks like the front of the train is smoother than the middle and tail end. Awesome ride the 2 times I went on it holding on for dear life😂🤣
Went on this twice in one day with ten of my friends back in May. The first time, one of my friends still had her phone in her pocket, and she is just clinging to her back pocket during the dive. Fortunately she didn't lose it. But on Leviathan later in the same day, we go down the dive, and we see someones phone fly out, and we are all like "Lindsey, you have your phone, right?!" lol

Hands down the best ride in the park, I still remember opening season for Behemoth, I was 6 and too short to go on but 3 years ago now I went on Behemoth for the first time and it was insane, since I was being refreshed on roller coasters as I had a 11 year gap of not riding any, the buildup to ride Behemoth was anxiety inducing but even though I had my eyes closed for my first ride I still enjoyed it. Now its a must for my buddies and I and got my first front row+hands in the air on the first drop this year still by far my favorite in the park and Leviathan is a close second. Does need repainting by the way wonderland I miss the bright orange of opening season!
Was just there today! We went early and got on the first ride of Yukon Striker of the day!!
Ave L we went at 9 because they open up the gates at 9:30. There were only about 7 people ahead of us and we happened to get back to the ride first and a park security guy started the line for the ride because it didn’t open until 10. They had difficulties opening it so it opened 30 mins late but we waited and it was worth it! They only ran one “car” on the track so the line was huge later in the day. If you don’t want to waste your whole day in that line, go early or buy a fast pass!

KadenVsGaming last time I went, it was open from 10:00-10:00 but since I live in Brampton and it takes me 45 minutes to get there, I arrived there like around 10:40-10:45

Yeah that feeling is intense. I was going up the leviathan lift hill, and it felt like we went up for ages, and I jokingly said “Hey what’s that clicking sound?” To my cousin, to which he responded, “say that when we’re at the top” and I was like “We’re still going up?!”
the time that i went no one was talking so it was dead silent (other than the people in the train) and it made the climb up sooooo much longer
I’m telling you, if you’re scared of this ride don’t be. You will feel so accomplished after going on. You also feel secure so the drop isn’t that bad.

I agree, but I don’t think they can. I think they only paint the ride when it’s in production to make it easier.

I’m ten and rode on this today. It was so epic, I raised my hands the entire time starting at the first drop.
I went on this ride when it first opened in 2008. My friends and I waited over half an hour to ride it once and since then, I have not gone back on it. I need to go on it again because it is a great ride.

This was the rollercoaster that made me love rollercoasters still a top 5 coaster for me

The first drop feels WAY faster the it looks and the line was like a two hour wait but overall it was an amazing experience

this was my first big three coaster! I was screaming but it was so fun! the first drop was SCARY, but then the other drops were fine! I REALLY RECOMMEND!!

It’s difficult to repaint a coaster. If the coaster still works, I think it’s fine,

No I had kumbaya repainted at busch gardens tampa and it took 2 months
Not super easy to close down one of the parks biggest rides for the majority of the season. Don’t forget our “summer” season in Canada is relatively short with about 6-7 months where the park can’t even be open so even two months of a repaint would not be good. Still looks new and because of the colour it stands out nicely

i thought for sure i was coming out of my seat on that first hump, i actually pulled some muscles trying to brace myself in !! A fun ride for sure. If you go to that one 1st when the gates open, nobody is there, they are all lined up at the Leviathan. You can ride it twice with no line-ups.
I’m taking that advice and going straight to behemoth next time I go

went on this for the first time a couple days ago. i wasnt a big roller coaster person at all, i was a vortex kind of person, so in line i was completely freaking out. when i put the restraint down i instantly tried to take it off, and i was about to ask to get off when the ride started moving. i was crying and holding on to my dad next to me. when i saw the hill after we turned the corner, the hill seemed ten times bigger. going up, i was completely freaking out, crying and panicking. then when we dropped i instantly loved it. now i keep begging my parents to go back to wonderland so i can ride again and its currently the best coaster ive been on (edit: ive now been on leviathan, so second best!). that one ride turned me into a coaster person, because now i have the courage to go on yukon striker and leviathan (edit: ive done both of them, theyre absolutely amazing!). i think im gonna be a coaster enthusiast soon (edit: totally a coaster enthusiast now). overall, totally 100% recommend, even if youre scared of coasters!
Hopefully, I start feeling that way. I've been going to CW since I was very small so I've only ever been on the kiddie rides so I'm not rly used to the big coasters even tho I'm older now lmao. I might start going on the bigger rides more when I go to CW tho.

Behemoth is SCARY but once we were at the top, I wasn’t scared anymore cause EVEN if I fell out, I’d land in the water 💦. Even if I can’t swim 😂 I’ll still call for help
The problem about that is, unless the train would derail on the lift hill (which is damn near impossible) the vast majority of the ride is over land. Therefore youd have to be pretty lucky-- in the near impossible chance of a derailing to 1. Land in the water.
2. Get the restraint off you before you drown and get back to land.

Scariest coaster at wonderland. You are only held in by a smaller lap device you feel like you could fly out on all the drops
Then maybe you don’t have it pressed tightly enough? I’m a very small girl, and I’ve been on it many times. You also have a seatbelt, and I’ve never felt like I would fly out.

this is when I was last there in 2009 after Behemoth was made , this ride is insane if you sit on the outside seats. when I was there we managed to ge ton for last ride and it was really dark and it was so different in pitch black night :D
It was definitely fun i was scared but couldnt stop smiling it was so fun didnt scream at all! This was was the second roller coster i had ever been on in my life! So worth it

The front seat is better in my opinion because there is such a good view and the wind blows through your body
