Graham Norton is finally getting the recognition he deserves. Ellen's awesome, but Graham had straight American male celebrities having fun hanging out with openly gay men in 2001! I honestly believe he's been a huge influence on how straight men have changed their attitude toward openly gay men in America. For example, girls love them some Bradley Cooper, and if Bradley Cooper is cool around gay men, they're cool around gay men. It might get them laid. It's shallow, but it's America.
Looking back Graham was really fierce back in the day... Not that he is not now but the balancing on the verge of being shocking and vulgar is quite amazing here. Class act I must say.
I like Graham, but I feel really bad for Britney. That was not cool. Also: I never got the fuzz about her shaving her head, it's just hair, it grows back and to be honest, it looked good on her, she has the right headshape for it.
This is tame compared to the So/Very days! Those series were so cutting edge and daring, and worked so well. It is interesting to see the show grow ever more tame, if still brilliant.
It's interesting how celebs disvussed topical news stories but now it's transitioned to promote movies, books ect. I'm glad they did. Can you imagine if they discussed Trump? Definitely need to have an extra hour! Lol
My only problem with this is, that he really doesn't pay attention to the guests and going too much about all the other shit that's going on. But hey, first show, cut the guy a slack. Still love you back then Graham :)
Man.. even though I love this guy for being such an amazing host.. that intro was aweful, in my opinion. Literally had to skip that one.. I mean why did he do that ?
I kinda feel like the content doesn't match the guest on this episode!! AT ALL!!! I dunno!! Kim seems taken aback by a lot of the jokes!! LOL Maybe that was on purpose??
Graham was so cringe back then. all the forced swearing all the stupid internet articles that have nothing to do with the guests and no one finds funny . cringe
The ratings in britain are: E - everyone U - universal PG - Parental Guidance (it's upto the parent to decide if their child is old enough.) PG13 - same as PG but no under 13s 15 And 18. I don't think this show has a rating, as they're never really displayed on TV. We just have something called the Watershed, which is 9pm. After 9pm it's fair game on television.
Did you not watch him in the 90's on channel 4! It was practically soft pornography! He would never get away with that now on any TV program. Honestly watch his really early stuff. It really is quite shocking what that program got away with compared to these days. It's a different world now and obviously it's also watered you down
Never realised Graham was so savage back in the day. Funny shit!
That's why we love him.
Talking about other peoples mental health has improved over the last 10 years thank god. Poor Britney.
This show 10 years ago so different from today's show

His show never fails to make me laugh.

Today BBC And Media IS A PC Bullshit Place! SO HE And Essentially NO One IS Allowed TO DO Comedy Any More.
Britain in the noughties! Those were the days…🤣
(Though taking the piss out of someone’s mental health wasn’t ok)

Exactly!
elijah always looks so concerned
This is so sad once you know about poor Brittany.
Yes poor millionaire superstar Britney :(
Didn't realise he showed the actual photo.. in full disclosure. Very out there for 2007.
It was standard in 2007. It was before everything became watered down and censored like today.
Every time I see Elijah, all I wanna do is just hug and squeeze him sooooooo tight !!! I just love him, he is the most beautiful boy in the world!
This is amazing. Bringing two amazing actors together and bringing the convos deep and for so long. I loved this so much.
this episode was what got me hooked on Graham Norton Show
This is tame compared to the So/Very days! Those series were so cutting edge and daring, and worked so well. It is interesting to see the show grow ever more tame, if still brilliant.
WHY DIDN'T THEY KEEP THIS INTRO WITH GRAHAM FLOATING UP IT'S THE BEST?! 🤣🤣👏
What happens in the shire stays in the shire
Poor Elijah Wood, he looked so uncomfortable with all the sex talk.
Even Cougar Kim couldn't calm him.
Britney Spears has come along way since this tragic incident. Good for her.
omg !! grahm is so funny looooooooool
It's interesting how celebs disvussed topical news stories but now it's transitioned to promote movies, books ect. I'm glad they did. Can you imagine if they discussed Trump? Definitely need to have an extra hour! Lol
Graham pretty much invented Tinder in 2007 already
My only problem with this is, that he really doesn't pay attention to the guests and going too much about all the other shit that's going on. But hey, first show, cut the guy a slack. Still love you back then Graham :)
yeah it is pretty funny but got dull after a while. Too gossipy for my taste. But, he has come a longggg way and is the best TV show host now!
I do prefer the format now definitely! Though he still had some pretty good guests then.
That mock of Britney's situation did not age well...
Also all of the jokes about Amy and Mariah, disrespectful
@@marcussousa1397 Grow up.

Kim Cattrall was so pretty and saucy
She is still gorgeous
Its funny because when Dan Radcliffe was on a later season's show, the subject of Elijah Wood came up with him. Weird.
Why is that weird...?
Oral lesson , frm parent to child...it's not an "ICECREAM !!!! 😁😆😅🤣👍👍👍
I love the comments Graham makes on mariah careey, COW, also on simon COW. Jerky with a hugh egos
Wow flashback! Wasn't it great that humour was just humour back then!
This was so funny!!!
I really want to see a celebrity gerbil now 😂
I kinda feel like the content doesn't match the guest on this episode!! AT ALL!!! I dunno!! Kim seems taken aback by a lot of the jokes!! LOL Maybe that was on purpose??
Graham's face said :" Don't play with me bitch!"
Man you’d never get away with talking about people like that now 😅
Is this not the official first episode did he have a similar show on BBC 1 before this?
I would check out some of his other shows like So graham norton or the graham norton effect he’s a lot more fierce than this
It says I wrote this seven months ago but it’s wrong, it was about a year or more ago. It was before COVID......I thought it was.
Where IS Elijah's tattoo?
on his pelvis. He showed it on Friday Night Live Project (don't know if I got it right). Every one in the Fellowship of The Ring got it.
@@judyrioflorido7833 John Rhys Davies didn't get a tattoo...
Love Elijah and Love Kim but that is a weird pairing.
@Cade Cannon Always sexy she is.
I think age plays a facter
The new UA-cam is terrible!! It keeps freezing up, I hate it!
When I was 20, people told me I looked just like Elijah. I really think he's so sexy, which means I would date me. It's weird
Bianchi wtf... dude chill
Self-obsessed much...?
Graham has never changed his set.........why?
@H
I wasn’t saying it’s bad, a lot of tv shows change their set and it looks worse so was wondering why they hadn’t.
His monolouges were too long
22:06 🤣🤣
I want to know if Emily is married to the guy from Ealing, and if she's still talking to her friend.
me2

Hmmm good guests but jeeez Mr Norton going for the cheap laughs in those days
thank God Graham has changed since then. the “up the arse” thing was horribly inappropriate and awkward.
He was AWFUL at intros, and the swearing so cringy. Glad he realized now and stopped
It's British, less filters.Wish it was like that in the states.
How Old Are You? 3?!

I honestly think with her in rehab showing that picture was not one bit funny!
Was this on bbc2
Looks like Kim is about to seduce Elijah lmfao

Almost as bad as the woman who got on the bus naked
I hate it just exploting Britney
Try again in English...
I agree. Kicking someone when they are down is pathetic. I expected better from Graham.
Unfortunately it was commonplace at the time which probably didn't help her mental state in the first place
@@aztecvillan5840 Where've ya been?
thanks for posting!!
