Watching this made me realise it's been about twenty years since I last saw Green Card with Gerard and Andie MacDowell. Andie was magic in Groundhog Day with Bill Murray, and I remember that Green Card was a pretty darn good film from her and Gerard's performances. And that was the first time I'd also heard part of a song (Storms in Africa) by Enya in a movie, which I fell in love with, and still love listening to. I'd forgotten that Green Card was written, produced and directed by the very talented Peter Weir. Just about time to watch it again.
I don't know if it was an artistic choice, but the fact that at one moment, close to the beginning of the conversation on wine, Monsieur Depardieu is sitting there all happy-go-lucky, his face free of any burden, and when the wine is brought out to be poured, he is wearing glasses when the camera goes back to the wide shot, and he is zeroing in on the amount that is being poured, as if with a magnifying glass. That is so French you can't write it.
Green card is like in my top 10 favorite movies. I loved this guy ever since i saw that movie. He's soooo talented . Swag like spring water... refreshingly natural .
I just saw him in a UA-cam movie ("My Father, My Hero") for the first time. Was surprised when a girl I went to school with was also in it (Faith Prince) and a very young Katherine Heigl. Not a good movie, but crazy to learn about new things, new people and ppl from my past.
Baba au Rhum is originally a French dessert from Nancy created by the French-polish cook of Stanislas Lesczynski (Leczynski was by the time King of Poland , and then Duke of Lorraine). It is a mix of polish dessert Babka and Alsatian/Lorraine-Swiss-Austrian-German Gugelhupf cake. It became later popular in Naples, where they made variations of it with Limoncello and ice.

Too bad he has given up on his exterior looks and presumably health. Like Brando in his last years. Such a marvelous gifted and skilled actor. Now that Putin has sacked his entire government maybe he could find a second carrier as chef in the Kremlin or some such.
I really, REALLY recommend watching the episode where Paloma Faith has her ass grabbed by all the male guests, it's a great example of how the world isn't some PC dystopia that you think it is :)
Joe, don't pretend you can't tell the difference between friendly touching during a jovial chat show and unwanted touching. Gerard is comfortable here, it's very clear. Lots of weird uppity nonsense comments this type of thing. Just be socially normal.

He should've had an interpreter since the beginning to avoid saying such stupid stuff! Pauvre Dépardieu! Tori, even if you don't cook, you're forgiven 'cause your lovely voice does it all!
We need Gerard Depardieu on the couch more these days
Gerard has a great sense of humor.
