    1. Axiom warranty is not worth it and they will decline it short cut %90 of the warranty work. Average service bill is over $5k
    2.Bentley FS report to your credit unlike Ferrari FS
    3. You can only buy 1 yr CPO 2yr ESP warranty form Bentley if the car is under 7 years old.
    4. If the Bentley is over 3 yr manufacturers warranty and doesn’t have extended warranty then you can only buy 1 extra year warranty.
    5. IF the car over 10 years old then you cannot buy any warranty from Bentley dealer.
    6. Don’t believe the dealer when they say it is CPO inspected or CPO is done. Ask for a technical inspection report and talk to the service advisor or service manager to confirm that CPO work is done.
    7. Do not buy a Bentley without a manufacturer warranty no matter how the price is .

      Thank you for your comment ! You are trying to say they are reliable machines ??i am looking to buy a GTC I don’t fancy the exterior of the new model I prefer the classic old version I like the convertible .. the narrative seems to not advise this car for average budgets like if they were not that reliable ? Weird : as loads of owners seems to like their Bentley ??

      Oh, but it's better to avoid all automobiles, always! There's always something going wrong with them (look at all the repair shops around!) and repairs are an absolute fortune, then you pour money into the gas tank on a daily basis and you have to have a garage attached to your home which adds expenses and cars are always getting into crashes even if you just park to buy groceries and you can even get killed in a car! Is it worth your life to buy one of these dangerous artifacts?? Better is to buy a yacht! Another huge problem with cars is that you spend half your life searching for a parking spot!

      Other videos report that Bentley's are reliable automobiles, and especially note the attention to detail in the interiors. My take is that they are a luxury with sport, as distinct from a sport with luxury. The more I look into buying another car, the more I realize that I know nothing, really, about them. Having a reliable mechanic is paramount. Look at rally cars, for a reality check: small cars with 600HP and drivers who can do amazing things. Most of us are just consumers doing price comparisons because that's basically all we know.

    Just came across this channel and love this type of content. I didn't like the narrative that someone looking for a 30k-40k variant is doing so for flexing or vanity purposes. There are numerous reason for someone to pick a Continental or any luxury vehicle at their true worth.

      I agree with you. He gave a lot of great information but he was serving a lot of sour grapes! 😂 I bought a 2003 Bentley Arnage T. I spent around 10k a year in maintenance and repairs. Had it for 3 years. I had my strip club in Vegas so I could afford it. To that point I wouldn't recommend buying that car to someone without the means. But man... beautiful great car. These cars are like high maintenance women. 😂

    Interesting perspective but I can’t say I agree.
    From what I gathered, you’re repeating things that you’ve seen, read, or watched online with no actual ownership experience.
    My personal goal is to own, experience, and modify as many unique cars as possible.
    I’ve personally owned a ‘08 Gen 1 GT w/ 84k miles and it was and still is a solid vehicle.
    I didn’t buy the GT for the name or the image that it gives me but for everything that it offers as a Grand Touring car. The quality and craftsmanship is unlike any other for the price point. After all, these cars were $200k+ new.
    All cars have their known issues. Doing your due diligence, knowing how to cross-reference interchangeable parts, and working on the car yourself (or having an independent shop service it) can make or break an experience with the car.
    I just bought a Gen 2 V8 and it’s scheduled to deliver next week. Looking forward to sharing my experience with it through actual ownership

    Going too exotic can become a big pain in the ass for local service. I was looking at a relatively basic Aston Martin Vantage either new or slightly used. Even though the price was just a bit outside my budget but doable, the hassle of the only dealership for service being over an hour away was a dealbreaker for me. I'm back on the hunt for the right LC500.

    To compare this car (2003-5) to much later cars is a compliment in itself. But I always felt my S class definitely rode better. But when I wanted a special drive, the Benz or many others just did not deliver the special occasion experience.

    If you can run to a new car then fabulous as they will have a comprehensive warranty. After 3 years you're on your own.

    Be careful of the V12 Benz. In my 2011 S600, the engine is so shoehorned into the engine bay that you have to drop the engine out of the car to change a spark plug. So while it’s out you’d be foolish not to change all 24 of them and their respective coils. And while you are at it the engine mounts too-they don’t last 100,000 miles. When it’s all finished my independent repair shop-honest guys- charged me $6,000.

  • @michaelhorton9583
    @michaelhorton9583 3 місяці тому

    As stated by other reviewers, cars depreciate but maintenance costs increase so one has to be prepared for this with any used high end car. Also, all of these reviews quote the price of Bentley service, when a good Indy, plus getting Audi/VW OEM parts without the Bentley logo or even doing certain repairs yourself, can reduce costs significantly. I have a 2006 GT with 23,000 miles and an extremely capable independent shop five miles down the road and would never have bought my Bentley without checking with them first. Having been stiffed once on an extended warranty scam, I keep an interest generating reserve fund for car and boat repairs beyond normal maintenance. No way am I going to pay >US$7,000 for a warranty with lots of small print. Basically, if you can't budget for the unexpected, you are taking a risk, but driving one of these beauties around makes it worth it to me and this advice to always get a warranty is often just not the best option. Also do the same with our Range Rover, another car with the same reputation, but also maintained by the same Indy, and well worth it when you drive one.

      That’s part of the reason why this stuff depreciates so hard because none of this stuff is worth $250-$500k actually no car is really worth more than $200k so these cars just depreciate down to what they’re really worth and these are fine around $100k-$150k but certainly not $300k.
      Like a new DBX is $220k but a new GLE 63s is $120k, literally a $100k tax for the Aston name. But people are always willing to pay it because they know it’s not about the value it’s more about being part of an exclusive club/people and mega tax write offs

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  7 місяців тому +1

      Clapped out is a new term this Generation Z likes to use describing neglected vehicles where the previous owner typically doesn’t have the money to fix or maintain the car when issues arise.
      So the person continues to let the issues compile and compound leading to the creation of a “clapped out” car. This bad example of a car at this point most likely gets reposed by the banks or gets traded in to some buy here pay here lot.
      This all started because someone bought a vehicle that was beyond their means and understanding and the cycle will repeat itself because some poor sucker will now buy that clapped out Bentley from the buy here pay here lot continuing this sad circle of life.
      That’s basically what a clapped out car is

    It's a real shame what has happened to Bentley and Rolls Royce after their split. Neither of the famous brands have been able to maintain the respectfull reputation they were founded on. The Bentley Contenential range whilst being a popular fashionable success seems to have created a lot of problems for themselves, like most other common modern cars. That problem is overengineering, which has lost it balance with practicality. People more than ever have the money to buy cars without having to consider their real needs and practicality, as we pay more for things on cars that we can not physically use, but complicating it beyhond practicallity. Cars are being made faster everyday whilst everyday we are restricted more and more by speed limits to slow down, leaving most motorist to just become boasting tyre kickers.
