  • The English royal family buys its automobiles from Bentley. In addition to exceptional luxury and high quality, the focus is also on the performance. The Bentley Continental GT combines all of the characteristics one expects of a Bentley.
In this episode Bentley shows how this luxurious high-performance automobile is made and how the exceptional high standards have defined production with this traditions- infused brand for decades.
The finest wood and specially cut glass in the headlights are just a few highlights. The built-in W12 engine gives the luxury liner the power to be extremely fast on the road.
This extreme performance enables the racing team to deploy the impressive machine on the race tracks of the world.

Awesome footage of the assembly line and engine build. but there are some mistakes in the narrator's text. Cylinderhead instead of oil pan @11:53, the valves control the air intake and exhaust not the fuel injection @12:05. And the technician is checking the cylinderdeck clearance to make sure there is enough space between the pistons and the cylinderhead and not with the cylinderwall@11:30 because obviously they come in contact with the wall. turbo is used for more air so more fuel = more powaaah not for enabling an optimal fuel air mixture.

India used to use Rolls Royces as Bin Wagons in the 1920's, because they (Rolls Ŕoyce salesman) insulted the Prince/Sultan etc.
He had gone to look at new cars dressed in a cheap fitting suit, and they laughed him.out of the showroom.
Next day in full regalia a d convoy of limo's he returned, was treated like a Prince, until he asked if he remembered him from yesterday, now he did.
He bought 5 cars to be used to clean garbage off the streets of Delhi, Rolls Royce never lived the shame down.

Every time I see the interior of a Bentley in particular -on T.V. at car auctions or otherwise- I am always awed and blown away: Their interiors are so much more luxurious than any other car manufacturer I know of.
Very interesting documentary which showcases how "perfectionist" and exacting to the demands of customers Bentley is...

These documentaries are nice overall, but they are made for people who have little clue about cars. How can you "polish each of the surfaces" when the car hasn't even been painted (22:50). They also clearly don't do a "perfect" job on the clear coat either, when you can see the orange peel effect at 2:07. Means they didn't wet sand and polish well enough to ensure clear light reflections.

I knew a man who bought a brand new Bentley , he took his family out for a drive , while making a left turn the car stalled and would not restart . True story . How embarrassing .

A Bentley has no hood not now or in the past.
It has always been a bonnet 💪

assemblers not mechanics, the brains are the engineers who designed every part and made those parts into one fine car
grace pace power, superb, just do not have a breakdown 2000km west of Sydney

Bentley continental should be a two seater that will remove so much wait if the car and most bentley owners don't even use the rear seats

0:03 how is a GT a supercar? I know it has the power and acceleration of a supercar, but those (and probably its top speed) are the only things the Bentley shares with a supercar.

Its what we Brits call it. And we call the output shafts from the diff to the hubs 'driveshafts'.

So, how many of you were deciding which colour you liked the most..... it’s nice to dream isn’t it. Imagine just being relaxed about paying for the fuel in a 6 litre engine. Let’s hope that at least some of the owners actually appreciate the craftsmanship and technology, rather than just the status symbolism. Money really is wasted on rich people isn’t it, the rest of us would REALLY appreciate it. 😎
