This thing with flying faders loaded with Wes Audio Hyperion EQs would the closest you can get to how a modern analog desk should be. Instant recalls and digitally controlled analog circuits in with a small acoustical footprint.

Very interesting documentary; how would one of there desk cost in U.K, & what sort of back does Sold State Logic provide in U.K.
I was going to buy one of these, but the faders are cheap, thin, chromed-over plastic. Really cheesy. Which surprised me because the pots and other fittings were just what you'd expect.
why only 8 mic pre´s. 16 would make sense and would be more than enough for most of the common recording sessions and it wouldn´t push the price much higher.
FrancisJoa you get to choose the 500 series inputs on the unloaded version, so on ins 9-16 you can put preamps in the 500 slot, giving you 16 channels to play with. but then I suppose there's no EQ on those channels, which is a bit of a bummer.

Is analog summing just a gimmick?
Does the end listener care if your digital recording hits a transformer and goes digital again before they hear it?
