Probably back to another Bobobo video in the next one, will more than likely revisit Lovecraft again. Would you guys like to see something on the Dreamers of Earth; the Great Ones or maybe a video on the old rulers of the Earth the alien Great Old Ones? Please don't just leave a bunch of random comments asking me to cover topics I have never even hinted at or talked about.
You could do video about distiction beween great ones (dreamlands), old ones (elder things), great old ones (cthulhu), other/ultimate gods and arcetypes etc
So Lovecraft was playing with the idea of Infinities being bigger than other infinities, which is mathematically valid and true. And took it to the logical extreme end.
@@bananiakter498 aren't cardinals values representating the number of items in a set, they can be finite (0,1,2,3...), or infinite (aleph-null, aleph-1,aleph2...) and ordinals represent position in an ordered set (1st ,2nd, 3rd...). Then nominal numbers are natural numbers associated with items so they can be referenced numerically even though they're inherently unordered (or have many ways of ordering), like ID numbers or MD5/SHA* hashs
I find it interesting that HPL never considered this the "Cthulhu Mythos." He called it "Yog-Sothothery" in his writings. Cthulhu wasn't a major figure at all, Yog-Sothoth, Nyarlathotep, Shub-Niggurath, Azathoth, Ghatanothoa, etc. were all much more powerful entities.
@@jab9109 To quote a certain VN protag who's well-versed in Yog-Sothottery "Eldritch beings have four-dimensional curves you can literally get lost in."
People ask how it is that Lovecraft ended up with such a powerful verse and I really think it all comes down to the concept and how it bypasses the limitations of something comics and manga like Dragon Ball and DC have to deal with. Lovecraft's whole fiction is built around the idea that no matter how powerful humans are and can be they will NEVER amount to anything more then a tiny bubble that pops in a milisecond within an ocean full of way bigger bubbles and giants. Humanity can never truly be God in a Multiverse like this, merely a facet or identity of whatever God chooses to wear or play with it. Even when we do have humans that transcend the very laws of reality like when Randolph Carter became a multi-faceted archetypal force that could literally observe all versions of himself and live through their lives SIMULTANEOUSLY... he was less than nothing against the Messenger of the Outer Gods himself, Nyarlathotep in one of his many mere infinite avatars. In the Yog Sothothery, we are not the focus of the painting, we are an obscure hazy afterthought. A small underwhelming background character that most would never notice. We cannot transcend our fundamental limitations because we are beings of linear time and the concept of a human is fractal and tiny compared to the whole of existence. Humanity did not come first, nor are we the end. We are less than woodlice in a palace, for at least woodlice contribute to the decay of said palace. In most manga and comic books that are used in battleboarding, many of these stories rely on the progression of character traits which includes power levels. To see a person like Naruto or Ichigo go from vulnerable person that could be one-shot like anyone else to a living weapon of mass of destruction is a fun progression to see and can make for a fascinating character too. It can create a really human experience that many of us relate to and desire, watching a character go from a block breaker to a cityscape menagerie or a universal force of nature. But because of this limitation which undoubtedly makes more fun stories, the characters are shown to be in states of weakness. At one point. They were weak. And this is why the Cthulhu Mythos is so broken as a verse in battleboarding because almost none of those mid-tier to high-end "Gods" have any of those limitations or requirements to exist. They are not focused characters, they are influences within the story that the humans are so helplessly at mercy of. They are the narrators, the giants we rest on top of, the craftsman of our shapes and names. Even when you do have a character that does go through growth and time the characters are so goddamn old that there is no feasible way to ever depict that entity in a way that would make us relate to it. Cthulhu who isn't even an Outer God is older then the whole of the material universe we inhabit. One story suggests that he is in fact Vigintillions of Years Old! Which is a real number apparently and it has 63 zeros... but the thing is we're not even sure if that is even really Cthulhu or another Avatar of his because as we all know, this ancient alien dynasty was around far longer than anything that we knew as a concept existed. These aliens had vague forms/shapes, utterances, identities far before the atoms and molecules that would eventually create us had ever existed. All the Outer Gods existed before the concept of time and progression. Their limiters (if they have anything close to that, possibly Yog Sothoth itself) is an unknowable contour that we can't possibly begin to comprehend because of the scope of it all. The Dreamland Gods are literally Ancient Entities that either facilitate or are a result (or both) of the endless dreams and imaginations that all humans and living entities possess as a collective. They are the blueprint components of all of our realities from the conceptual level and then some. They are nourished by the endless belief every creature fuels them with. And they are seen as less than ants to the Great Old Ones again. Gods which are fodderize by higher forces and vast entities mistaken for planes of existence. This is not a story about human empowerment. It's a story where humans realize that they are in fact irrelevant. And that it becomes an inescapable horror to continue to try and validate your existence when basing your human value on being important.
Maybe theoretically there can be a manga or anime where the main character is an Eldritch Entity that no being made of physical matter as we know it can come close to in power. Like it would still have that sense of hopeless powerlessness shown by the mortal side characters quite clearly...... but the main character is basically the Eldritch Entity version of GOKU. So imagine a 3D avatar of Cthulhu that trains and gets zenkai boosts... that is basically how we would see the main character although we would also understand the true form of this protagonist is either formless or a personification of all existence.
Yep, the Cthulhu mythos aren't characters, they're forces of nature, and no matter how strong a character gets, they're still at the mercy of the flood.
Well said. What's bonkers about the Cthulhu Mythos is that beings like Cthulhu, who are so infinitely beyond humanity that we can only see them as gods, are as insignificant to _their_ gods as we are to Cthulhu. Cthulhu, who is billions and trillions of times older than the universe we inhabit and was said to have darkened half the stars in the universe when he first entered it, is _nothing_ compared to Nyarlathotep, who is the weakest of the Other Gods. The Ultimate Gods, like Azathoth and his court, are beyond Nyarlathotep by an equally massive margin. And the Supreme Archetype, Yog-Sothoth, is multitudes of infinities beyond any of them. Even calling them archetypal concepts isn't strictly true, because they define concepts by existing, not representing them as fundamental facets of existence. The highest levels of the Yog-Sothothery are beyond even the broadest and most basic fundamental concepts that serve as the absolute upper limit for most universes.
DC and Marvel have the same thing actually, you don't know how deep their cosmology goes, especially for humans too. CM is very op, but I could say DC is above probably.
@@nWo_4life I don't want to come off as a know at all, there are certainly stories within the DC Universe I have not read but I can say for certain that I know of some pretty high end DC characters that make Darkseid and Milkman feel like fodder. While I favor entities like Decreator, Empty Hand, and Prayala I'm sure there exist entities that could fodderize even them within DC. However a lot of those entities are dependent on human/earth existence to survive. This isn't surprising since DC's Universe places a lot of importance and emphasis on Earth and Earth in DC is considerably stronger and filled with higher power entities then in the real world (obviously) but in CM a planet like Earth and its inhabitants don't even factor as low tier in the whole CM. Even something as grand as the Leviathan of Stories would only rank as high as a Dreamland God perhaps considering both entities feed on multiverses collective imagination. Is there an entity that surpasses that kind of feat or narrative within DC? Not the Presence, that's for sure.
One thing I like about WebCamParrot is that he manages to maintain his composure while explaining the dumbest stuff like characters getting more powerful by smoking weed.
If you're not getting more powerful from smoking weed, you need better stuff. The other day I smoked some good weed and was about to create a mini universe in my hands.
There is much to be said of insights gained while under the effects of psychotropics. Like much of HPL's imagination, it was decades ahead of his time.
Yog Sothoth was always my favorite Lovecraftian god. I thought he was a really good sport with Randolph Carter, warning him of the dangers of proceeding and helping him when he decided to continue.
I'd love to see a full series on the mythos. Your content so far has much more depth and specific insight into the nature of the mythos than other channels I've watched
Hey Webcamparrot, as someone who works on complex verses like this, what do you think when people argue against something by saying it is vague, flowery language?
I'd like to add my 2 cents to this. I think they mean the author attempts to sound profound or have a poetic sense to a given writing but it is actually hollow. We as readers can sense when an author is truly inspired or just writing for the sake of it and the flowery language thing is just a very obvious tell that you're being took for a ride.
Flowery language is only something that should really apply to the way a piece of writing FEELS to you. Like flowery writing feels fluffed out or vacuous. It doesn't apply to the actual content of the writing, a given piece of writing can be "flowery" and the content of it can still be 100% correct. As for the vague thing, all language is vague to some extent, the point is to interpret that vagueness. We can't just do away with vague statements.
Well, the vagueness of language itself is what led to the creation of philosophy, which led to the creation of mathematics, which led to the creation of physics, which led to the creation of power scaling, in which language and its various interpretations get debated (like here). It all comes full circle 😂

@@zhcultivator Hinduism is definitely bigger than Catholicism at the very least. In the Divine Comedy, it's stated that the Empyrean is a plane beyond physical existence, (so an outerversal realm) but that since it's the home of the trinity, that's where things end. Whereas in Hinduism there are a whole mess of realms beyond time and space, and brahman, the immortal material comprising everything in existence, transcends even that.
@@Dudebox64 so D.C. basically buppled a Hinduism by adding in Pralaya and her Sea Of Brahman which was the ultimate Nonexistence to where all of the D.C. Although of course there's higher beings like Retcon Corporation and Milk-Man Man and the Eonimus and Story Of Superman etc.... but that's cool to know that D.C. took that whole inspiration.
yep, with Lovecraft traditional power-scaling goes to pot as even some of his more "limited" stuff is easily outerversal compared to the usual stuff found in DC/Marvel etc.. the best part is I'm sure there's even more powerful verses out there too, fiction is vast.. a lot of power-scaling gets confined to main two comics (DC/Marvel) so good when people start expanding to other works, shows just how "crazy" fiction can really get.
Thanks but I really don't think this is good advice. Imo you should be humble and careful about even the things you are very sure of. I find the kind of person that just goes around arrogantly proclaiming everything they are invested in as "facts" to be very unpleasant to be around.
A four-dimensional space would likely make someone's death simultaneously instantaneous, drawn out to the future, and well in the past. The fourth dimension is time, so being in a four-dimensional space is basically being at all points you exist _in_ time.
Subscribed. I'm a sucker for any exploration of the Mythos, both purely Lovecraft's and the extended Mythos picked up by other writers. An evolution or contrast/comparison of the Mythos would also be great. Additionally, other media inspired by the Mythos would be cool (such as the movies In the Mouth of Madness and Event Horizon).
I love the nature of Cthulhu Mythos, there's always a bigger fish feeling..because it's cosmos and there're may be things beyond what we know of..which is the point of the unknown horror
Yog-Sothoth/The Supreme Archetype is a Nondualistic Absolute. The absolute oneness, encompasses the archetypes; a being which encompasses all dichotomy and attribution in a state of all-pervading "Oneness". In a binary of 0 and 1, the archetypes would partake in both qualities. Yog also exist in a state of exemption from the very conception of duplicity. Within a binary distinction, possess a third attribute which is outside the dyad. In regard to 0 and 1, they would be 2, 3, or 4. Yog-Sothoth/The Supreme Archetype is an ineffability; an essence which is without attributes. All dichotomies cease to be in this state, for there are no attributions that may be applied. 0 and 1 would not exist, and with this nature would partake in neither. Which encompasses both "everything" and "nothing," as well as the assertion and negation of any given proposition, and states in which both are true simultaneously The archetypes encompassing everything, such as the ultimate mystery, which belies all manifested phenomena that lies beyond even the ultimate Void, a changeless, absolute totality beyond all perspectives that utterly transcends all conceptions of being, size, and boundaries, holding the entire cosmos as nothing but an atom in its genuine and ultimate "absolute infinity" EDIT: I edited my comment to avoid confusion
@@Scar9122 That's a misconception caused by a very poor interpretation of the text. Carter is talking to the Supreme Archetype and he says: "It was perhaps that which certain secret cults of earth have whispered of as YOG-SOTHOTH, and which has been a deity under other names; that which the crustaceans of Yuggoth worship as the Beyond-One, and which the vaporous brains of the spiral nebulae know by an untranslatable Sign" He's saying that the Supreme Archetype is the same being worshipped as Yog-Sothoth and other names. He then says this, which is where the problems start: "et in a flash the Carter-facet realised how slight and fractional all these conceptions are." He is not saying that Yog-Sothoth is a separate being, he's saying that the attributes ascribed to it by its worshippers are nothing in the face of its overwhelming reality. Yog-Sothoth is just a name for the Supreme Archetype, and not the only one. That's all.
@@killianbrodson8115 . If there are infinite time dimensions in The Cthulhu Mythos along with it's infinite spatial dimensions.........then I'm sure the answer is quite simply Yog-Sothoth.
As far as I understand, Azathoth is the personification of boundless primordial chaos gnawing at existence itself. I would say Yog Sothoth is the essence of said primordial chaos refined into archetypes, which is the first form of limitation (definition) from which then anything can be created, and a personification of the totality of divine powers in general. So I would say Yog-Sothoth, as far as I understand is an aspect of Azathoth. It's indeed the essence of everything that was, is, could be, never was, can and cannot be, across all planes and dimensions. And Azathoth, being the free, primordial, limitless chaos, is quite literally the manifestation of formless, unbound spirit/essence that could then be refined into specific archetypes. It exists everywhere and no-where, both beyond the gates and before them, and can be seen as an intermediary between existence, of any and all kinds and extents, and non-being. The only thing that could be beyond Azathoth is perfect non-existence and negation of anything and everything, the perfect void.
Boundless is dependent on the powerscaler, some people accept boundless as a tier, some don't. I stop at high outer, then find out which verse has more transcendances into the high outer tier then that determines which cosmology is stronger
@@WebCamParrot same bro, I find that statement just super lazy, it's a great way to add to a story but just saying "Oh they're Boundless" isn't scaling their powers since every characters who's Outerversal or Extraversal or Petaversal could be considered Boundless and there wouldn't be any difference, but every verse is unique and have their own ways of scaling so terms like Outerversal and Hyperversal and Extraversal and Multiversal etc... are much easier to understand and easily show just how unbelievably powerful some things can get.
Would you ever think of doing this for the lovecraft-inspired Bloodborne? Or Elden Ring? I kinda want to have both games compared to each other, because the Elden Ring bosses although harder through a gameplay perspective I think might have a hard time out-scaling the Bloodborne ones as they deal with realms of dream and reality like these do.
Great video, but a lot to unpack here. As I am understanding it (in descending order)... Yog-Sothoth = The Beyond One ...in the Ultimate Void we have the Archetypes ...at the peak of the Mythos we have the Ancient Ones (avatars of Yog-Sothoth); greatest of whom is Umr At-Tawil ...at the centre/void of the Dreamlands is the Court of Azathoth ...wherein also reside the Outer Gods including Nyarlathotep who is the Soul of the Ultimate Gods ...below which are the Great Ones and Elder Gods (who are turned to stone if they see an Outer God's true form). I am sure I am missing still more.
I always thought that the Ancient Ones were another spelling of the Great Old Ones similar to how that Other Gods is another spelling of the Ultimate Gods. I find it very off that the Archetypes and the Supreme Archetypes were mentioned in Through the Gates of the Silver Key and no where else. Maybe that the Archetypes and the Supreme Archetype are another spelling of the Ultimate Gods and Azathoth, since it is heavily implied that Azathoth's real name is very very horrific so horrific that even Yog-Sothoth won't mutter. Then again it's all up to personal interpretation.
@@lawrencerowley8581 nah Yog another name is The Not-To-Be Named-One and is stated to be "omnipotent" everything thing is nothing but facets of it. Azathoth is just part of the archetypes
@@ringo.9396 Isn't that Azathoth? Since even the mere mention of Azathoth is a taboo(there's eveb proof that Azathoth isn't really his real name and is merely a guise to mask his true name that is very horrific in The Whisperer in Darkness) meanwhile Yog-Sothoth is romanticize and worshipped a lot by both humans and the Mi-Go, also the original text for Through the Gates of the Silver Key doesn't mention the Archetypes/Outer Gods as facets of Yog-Sothoth. That was in later versions of the story, which you can tell since it explicitly said that humanity is insignificant when Lovecraft would never directly say that in his stories just heavily implied. The two main reason why Yog-Sothoth is not the Supreme Omnipotent Being is that all evidence that point to it is extremely inconsistent and flat out un-Lovecraftian(since in Through the Gates of the Silver Key, Yog-Sothoth "cares" about Carter which completely contradicts Lovecraft's philosophy of gods and that Yog-Sothoth is very similar to God in Judeo-Christian faith which Lovecraft heavily disagrees with). There's also Nyarlathotep and the Shining Trapezohedron, which is the main barricade for this claim as it makes Yog-Sothoth a Outer God or is not as special or powerful as we believe as Nyarlathotep have the same properties of Yog-Sothoth as the Haunter of the Dark.
@@ringo.9396 Yog-Sothoth is not confirmed to be the Not-To-Be Named One, hell that description fits more in lines with Hastur than Yog-Sothoth and the Archetypes are comprised of all conscious beings but Azathoth is mindless. My understanding was that Howard was sharing Lovecraft's universe but sticking to a very small corner of it. They included references to each other's works in their own and wrote letters to each other to make sure that they weren't (canonically) stepping on each other's toes. Same goes for Clark Ashton Smith, though I recall that it's trickier to balance Smith and Howard.
i wish that people will at some point try to adapt this stuff from lovecraft as well, instead of just being like "uhhu tentacle monster that makes you got crazy uhuu"
So randolph carter is actually more powerful than cthulu or other lesser deities by the end. That's actually funny. A human actually did manage to ascend beyond such gods, only to meet even more terrifying beings that made him even more insignificant.
@@nono9543 How do you know though? Just being in the dreamlands doesn't mean your outerversal, anyone can enter it, even normal people. But to ascend to higher planes and ecspecially the highest you need to reach that level. @@tristanboss7319 Being able to do that in the Cthulhu Mythos is small potatoes. Cthulhu can do that and has comparatively more capabilities then Carter. @@ringo.9396 The Carter-Archetype is absolutely stronger than Cthlulhu, but the individual randolph carter is absolutely not. Lovecraft was playing with infinities bigger than other infinities, in math, we call this cardinals. Which numerically is above infinity, inherently, the universe revolves around things like set theory and infinity, set theory is a theory that means the number of items in each, sets that could be finite, (or infinite) that goes infinitely. Hi I wanted to make a couple video requests, both about DC. 1. I'd like to know the power level of Raven. To me she is the definitive magic user of dc, but I've never had a chance to read the comics. What I do know is she never gets mentioned when it comes to power scaling when you talk about other magical powerhouses, including trigon. Which makes me feel like she's a lot less strong in the comics than she is in the animations, where she routinely butts heads with him. other request, and I know this is a big one, but video covering who is the most powerful character in DC, one for every couple of irl years. eg. who was the most powerful character in 1938, then 1939. I think it'd be cool to see a timeline of when various heavy hitters get added in, and how that mixes things up. Maybe do one for heroes and one for villains? This idea was prompted by me finding it really cool that starro was the first Justice League villain, and wondering who else was in their rogue's gallery before various staples like Darkseid came around.
Think of it this way, if you climb to the top of Mount Everest without gear or warm clothes, that automatically makes you super strong, and immune to a lot of things. Same thing here.
Because the Dreamlands are a set of Infinite Realmes and Gates that reveal more profound and deeper energies into one's Unconscious and for every gate those profound ideas become Infinitesimal compared to the next ones and doing that is Transcending the previous Realm which puts you completely above it in terms of power, size and idea. What's more powerful, a Human who's Human sized or a Human who's multiple Infinite sets of Infinities big and scales outside of physical Existence??
I’ve been writing a story for a while and decided to adapt in eldritch godlike horrors similar to what Lovecraft has made. However I’ve changed what they are and how they come about. In my stories universe if a species becomes advanced enough in technology and magic (magic exists as a biological ability in most sentient beings) for some reason that nobody has been able to discover the species melds together their entire biomass into an eldritch horror which acts almost like a virus. It roams the universe devouring life-forms and absorbing the knowledge of everything they eat to increase their power and capabilities. It’s basically a super-predator and is seen as an unavoidable natural disaster (until the main characters end up killing one out of anger)

Extended Cthulhu Mythos is a mess but if you consider some of those author story canon due to very similarities, the answer is no extended CM is above WoD. Just if you wanna know original CM is already beyond WoD
So Yog lives in the Ultimate void, witch is the Ultimate Dimension, and beings that cannot acess the superior dimensions than the ones they exist can use the Dreamlands to acess these superior dimensions as in the Dreamlands time, space and matter does not exist, is my understanding about the dimensions right?

So Lovecraft was playing with the idea of Infinities being bigger than other infinities, which is mathematically valid and true. And took it to the logical extreme end.
He really was ahead of his time
In math we call it cardinals and ordinals which is bigger infinities
That's actually how it works on matter plane, but when it gets to dreams, it's more cool

I find it interesting that HPL never considered this the "Cthulhu Mythos."
He called it "Yog-Sothothery" in his writings. Cthulhu wasn't a major figure at all, Yog-Sothoth, Nyarlathotep, Shub-Niggurath, Azathoth, Ghatanothoa, etc. were all much more powerful entities.
Cthulhu got the game named after him. Also, he was sort of our patron entity. The more powerful ones didn't really give a damn about our tiny planet.

Which encompasses both "everything" and "nothing," as well as the assertion and negation of any given proposition, and states in which both are true simultaneously
The archetypes encompassing everything, such as the ultimate mystery, which belies all manifested phenomena that lies beyond even the ultimate Void, a changeless, absolute totality beyond all perspectives that utterly transcends all conceptions of being, size, and boundaries, holding the entire cosmos as nothing but an atom in its genuine and ultimate "absolute infinity"

The only thing that could be beyond Azathoth is perfect non-existence and negation of anything and everything, the perfect void.

...in the Ultimate Void we have the Archetypes
...at the peak of the Mythos we have the Ancient Ones (avatars of Yog-Sothoth); greatest of whom is Umr At-Tawil
...at the centre/void of the Dreamlands is the Court of Azathoth
...wherein also reside the Outer Gods including Nyarlathotep who is the Soul of the Ultimate Gods
...below which are the Great Ones and Elder Gods (who are turned to stone if they see an Outer God's true form).

He's obviously quite good, as shown in the Call of Cthulhu where he's able to communicate with tons of people all at once through dreams, but is he as good as Hypnos, who could shape all of reality as he saw fit?
The Leviathan of Stories was the zenith of the DC Cosmology, correct? But its only comparable to the Dreamlands in the Yog Sothothery. So the realm of Yog Sothoth is so far beyond it that its meaningless. Uh, yeah. Mr. Lovecraft was beyond basically everyone in the cosmology department by leaps and bounds and still is.
The zenith of DC (until they change it) is the Great Darkness not the Leviathan of Stories. Not everything DC creates exists in the same place unless otherwise established. The New Gods for example were not originally part of the DC mythos, similarly with Watchmen they were later merged together into the DC reality but were not originally
@@Dark6997 Oh, Ok.
@@Dark6997 something that was created by Pralaya who herself is Infnitley below the Overvoid and that is Fiction compared to Final Heaven and they're just a T.V. show to the Eonimus and they don't even exist to anything in the Crack and all of that being contained in The Leviathan Of Stories somehow makes The Great Darkness above it?? Great logic bro.
Nice job, thank you. Analyse of creatures from The Mound would be interesting.
Reverse cardinals are just the opposite. Cardinals or ordinals (Aleph null or other alephs.) are also infinite.
its worth mentioning that Conan and Cthulhu Mythos are kinda connected
Sort of yeah in some interpretations of the canon, I'm not doing that in my videos atm though just Lovecraft stuff but yeah that's true.
@@WebCamParrot You can contact me on discord if you need help with that in the future, i read the Conan Stories Multiple times and can quote almost anything major from them two
@Toasty The Barbarian I'll bear that in mind thanks! but I have no plans for that sort of thing atm.
@@gigachad167 If you are talking about a Creation theory then i must kinda disappoint you, you see Rober e. took a lot of Cosmology from Lovecraft cause they were good friends and Some what merged the 2 universes into 1.
but generally speaking Rober e. did not seem to like creation explanations WHY ?maybe he wanted to keep it a mystery that even the highest Witches and Sorceress could not understand.
Not saying that there is a Dumb tentacle god that might kill us all if he awakes but more like we don't know cause Stygia is trying to conquer us again so i don't have time for that kinda deal.
@@gigachad167 Ohh yeah thats kinda Ez.
There are some what many realms in conan for example there is a dream Realm that is almost identical to the HP dream realm, the Outer void that is basically space , outer void that is outside of space where also supposedly powerful gods resign, realms of the gods like Mitra that has a realm that could be compared to Christian paradise , the mirror world that is not a fun place to be traped in and last but not least Deep under the ozean floor is a realm where nightmarish creations like Khosatral Khel come from.
There is probable many more that other writers expanded on.
Good video bro 👌
do a video for the Philosophy of Cosmicism - H.P. Lovecraft
Quick question: Do you think 'the one above all' scales above or below the lovecraft universe?
Far far far below, not even close to being close. Regular Spiderman and The One Above All are closer to each other than The One Above All and normal weak characters in the Mythos like The Dreamers.
@@WebCamParrot I thought so, but I got a bit confused, as I saw someone's video on the one above all and they said that he was the interpreted god in all of fiction and it confused me a bit as to whether that was true or not (surely the writer of 'the one above all' couldn't just state that their character rules over everyone else's pieces of fiction without all of the other authors on the planets permission to confirm that?)
@@joniboi3699 Those people are wrong and would have to substantiate a huge claim like that with a huge amount of evidence. Because the bigger the claim you make, the more evidence you need, it's a rule of logic.
People wank TOAA a lot and bring up stuff that he’s never done. For all of Azathoth’s vagueness at least he’s shown to be beyond characters who are high outerversal
No, he's just the creator of the Marvel Multiverse.
Awesome video, really don't regret watching any second of it.
Anyway, People are saying BoBoBo solo DC and I'm saying that BoBoBo doesn't scale to the highest realms in DC, am I wrong to say this? Seeing that I have not seen any high outerversal feats or statements for BoBoBo. Please do a video on this matter if possible. Thanks. Great video once again!
I won't do a video on it but I don't think Bobobo solos DC no.
@@WebCamParrot Guess I was right, thanks.
So in the universe or multiverse of THE DARKNESS with JACKIE ESTACADO,who is the supreme being if any?
Mann you should do how big is stephen king verse it's crazy to bro
It's big but not on this scale.
@@WebCamParrot still you should check it out
I thought you had also done a cosmology video for Marvel Comics, but I can't find it.
Am I mistaking or was it taken down?
I never made that video no
Ahhh yes, this is the true power of insanity
wow idk there was more than one dream world storiey the Randolph carter one is my all time fav so igotta find the rest and read them immediatley
*starting to watch video*
*ftl sound kicks in*
hell yeah 😎
Can you talk about the Supreme archetype?
Legit question. Why does traveling to certain places in the Dreamland make people stronger?
Have you read Grimoire of the Necronomicon Book by Donald Tyson I believe he put out two one on lore one on a practice he came up with
What happened to all of your videos you used to have a lot more did UA-cam take them down or did you
I’ve been writing a story for a while and decided to adapt in eldritch godlike horrors similar to what Lovecraft has made.
So Yog Sothoth is the totality of everything in the whole series and is the pinnacle of what happening present, past, future?
True, Yog Sothot is everything, he is the start, the end, he is Cthulhu Mythos (Really the original name of the verse was Yog Sothotery, Cthulhu Mythos is named by the friend of Lovecraft)
WOW that was excellent!
Yeass tell me more! I didn't know that The Old Ones, The Great Ones, and The Great Old Ones are all separate categories of creatures in the mythos.
Please do World of Darkness cosmology
What was the music at the beginning?
Hey web can you make a sequel video on your azathoth video scaling the beings that are superior to it ?
Can you do The 36 Lessons of Vivec next?
ive always liked lovecraftian stuff, at least on a surface level, but have never really gotten into it much. any good recommendations for where a lovecraftian noob could get started?
Call of Cthulhu
The Necronomicon
Webcamparrot you need a lobo power scaling vid
Ayyyy more mythos
Is World of Darkness larger than Cthulhu Mythos (even adding Extended one)?
Extended Cthulhu Mythos is a mess but if you consider some of those author story canon due to very similarities, the answer is no extended CM is above WoD. Just if you wanna know original CM is already beyond WoD

So Yog lives in the Ultimate void, witch is the Ultimate Dimension, and beings that cannot acess the superior dimensions than the ones they exist can use the Dreamlands to acess these superior dimensions as in the Dreamlands time, space and matter does not exist, is my understanding about the dimensions right?
yeah, yog is everything and abive what you have just mentioned
Bro can you do a cosmology scale on masadaverse pls
that verse doesn't really scale that high though, but reddit seems to overwanked them along with Dark Tower
Who would win . The chaos gods vs yog-sothoth and his other beings ?
Yog sothoth
Yog-sothoth is *omnipotent,* not omnipotent in this universe and or compared to other characters, no no.. he is unbeatable, unchangeable, and his omnipotence is absolute.
