This is not a digital recorder, if it was would have cost an arm and leg, it was a VCR type recorder it would pull the tape back with that roller so to pull the tape over the heads saw a pic of this kinda cool thew, another give away is tape speed 9.5 - 19 cm digital would only have one speed !

Easy spotting ! If it would be digital , it wouldn't have dbx noise reduction !
