If you made it with your hands, and it's okay with you, I'd like to show your work and shout you out in a video too.
i feel sad snagging and losing a $10 lure.... at $440 i think i will put that lure in a fish tank
for 440 dollars im goin swimming for that lure even if crocodiles are in there ill punch those mofos in the nose to get that lure lol
Shane Richard hahaha My brother reeled in a croc and was trying to get it on the boat to get his $5 lure back hahahahaha
thats awesome id shit my pants if i seen a croc
@@rangrybillymaddin2459 Ok if it is a croc I would say just take the $10 lure thank you very much
@@shanerichard236 haha yea man i think i would too
I'd bee using rope for fishing line at 440.00
or steel cable
David Cilny just a chain of steel musky leaders
@@jasonbourne5200 in hungary we are always using steel leaders bc there are a lot of pikes and they cut off your line easy

Channels like these are the reason UA-cam is still alive
@Bob it's been dying because of their over political stunts latley
@Bob that's because everyone is watching the channels that criticize UA-cam and their leftist ways.
@Bob I meant the old UA-cam is dying. It has just done an almost complete 180 from what it used to be
Let's appreciate this man's work... Go spew somewhere else.
Bob UA-cam has been dead for years... this monolithic beast of which you speak is an impostor; a villain in a mask.
If they put in the same amount of effort in the bait as you did, I'd say the price is about right. =)
They do, they're all hand carved, then hand made & painted & tested. By 2-8 artisans for the whole world population
@@scottiedunnavan3834 i think i found my new hobby. Does it have to be wood, i'm wondering if you only need to make the one and then make a silicone mold of it, and then get the right resin. I know fuck all about lures, but I like science.
@@scottiedunnavan3834 so are alot of the 60$ baits...soooooo
@@treborsway5660 14:12 this aint one of your wooden plugs you find in any random bait shop
@@Nick_88 it's not different either
My luck I would snag it on the first cast on a stump and snap my line.
TIN MAN for 440 bucks you take your clothes off and you go swimming are you serious
^^^^damn straight lol
@@toddfongemie9441 good lord do people really pay that for a lure.
Lol i swim for even the chealest ones.
Yesterday i dug around the brambles for my favorite spiner but i could not find it🙁
@@toddfongemie9441 for $440 I download a picture then go to Wal-Mart and buy a rapala.
This is by far the coolest thing on UA-cam I've seen in a long time! Amazing craftsmanship. As a full-time fisherman and tackle tinkerer, I have so much respect.
For real!
Milliken Fishing wassup. I love your channel and have watched both of these channels for a while
Kind of cool that Ben watches this channel. Ben's and awesome dude. I hope his fingers and toes get the feeling back in them soon. For those who don't know, he fell the water ice fishing last week and was n the water for like 20 minutes. Crazy, right?
you should fish his bait
Milliken Fishing bin
Its made from bonsai bark and miyagi toenail clippings.
Yeah and it’s carved by the karate kid!

as an engineer, the thing i enjoyed most is that u didnt have to use any fancy equipment, you kept it straight and simple, you didnt go off topic, and you took your time to perfect a master piece! and made it so that any one could go to home depot and grab a few things to make a lure, you should make a video on using a hot glue gun, glitter, and popsiscle sticks, caulk, and other junk someone might find laying around the house?
This was really enjoyable to watch! The whole process was phenomenal. Good stuff!
Im huge fan Leo 🤩
Leo's comments are everywhere I mean everywhere lol ! I scroll down I'm like " what a surprise, Leo"

Absolutely great video. As an old (77) retiree and a long time fisherman and woodworker, I am going to make a couple of these. Swims great, great action. I'm sure one of our large stripers will eat this. Glad to see you made a understandable video and you had your act together in making the video - too many people just plop down and start rambling - yours was sequential and good.
They are made from recycled Ferrari engines
your kidding right
@@tuckrex2038 no they actually are.
@@cwatson42785 no they aren't. Their made from NEW Ferrari engines.... that's why they have 4 year 40,000 mile warranties.
DO NOT pay them for undercoat. Its already there.
They do it at the factory.
@don cherry Yeah but they have to be done by an authorized Ferrari dealer and they are prohibitively expensive. That's why you need to make sure you get all the service records with a used one because the only thing more costly than servicing one is repairing it because you didn't.
ramesh anand lmao. Wrong. Country. They're Nissan GTR parts.
So I don't know what everyone else will think, but I think you should make the lure that spongebob uses for decoration in his living room. You could maybe even do the coffee table lure he has too.
Definitely do that.
Yasssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
YES!
Nice job 👌. Muito bom in portuguese 😉
Yessss!!!!!
Who else skips to the end to see the final product?
I don’t.
This is amazing
I here that Tyler Childers marling
That’s lit
Hell yeah man
You may not have caught any fish, but you sure as hell caught the attention of all your fans! Exceptional work, you are the Master Worker, well done 👍
If I had to put that much time and effort into making a lure like that, then I would want more than 400 for it. Seems fair.
Looks amazing you are talented no doubt
Nice lure, but ya need a underwater camera and film the action of these baits your making, would be really cool.
We wait for patreon
Effort and time. Excellent workmanship. This man takes pride in his work. 10/10
Hey Marling, just wanted you to know I appreciate you making these videos. They’re honestly really therapeutic and I always look forward to the next one. You do a really great job man.
Awesome thank you 😁
..concurred
Love the Tyler Childers in the background
And The Avett Brothers
Easily the best bait making channel 👍👍👍👍
You sir have a gift! Such a unique craftsmanship you have. Very well done!
Made from 300 year old Bonsai tree, Jade inlays & carved by a Samurai using handmade katanas !!!!
You forgot to add that the hooks are tempered by running them through three servants.
jade and dragon bone inlays... get it right lol
It's called neat reason to rip off
I whittled a top water "plug" out of a tree branch...my bro bet me I couldn't catch a fish with a bait I made myself.
First cast...a seagull swooped down and grabbed it (didn't get hooked though), dropped it...one twitch and a 4.5lb bass nailed it!
Then I made another lure out of one of my little bros old GI Joe figures...caught some more bass.
My biggest fish (23lb pike) was caught on a 10" strip of inner tube.
Very nice work BTW!
Fermis crazy s*** dude please tell me more about the Pike tube
It was just a strip, cut from an old inner tube...shaped roughly like a leach. I rigged and fished it like you would a rubber worm(without a weight, just a steel leader).
That pike was the only fish I caught with it. I saw numerous others (lg & sml mouth bass, and other pike) follow it, but only the one took it.
Next time go to the pet store get a mouse and tie a line and hook to it and see what lunker you catch
I love fishermen stories. They are always so laughably unrealistic. But to be fair, I have caught bass on willow leaves on a simple hook and sinker when they wouldn't hit anything else.
Here's a little fish story for ya, Pat.
My older bro...not really a fisherman...was home, on leave, for a week. "Do you think it's possible, for me to catch 50 bass while I'm here"? he asked.
I said, "for you?...no!...but there is a way I can make that happen for you!...give me an hour".
I went back to my house (I'm just a block back from my parents and the lake). I used the old netting from around a trampoline (I had it stashed in the garage) and made a minnow seine.
It was early summer and there were plenty of hatchlings swimming around. 3 passes with the seine, we had over 100 largemouth bass, along with a few smallmouth, bluegill, rock bass and various minnows. He was less than thrilled with his 50+ bass.
Wow I can’t truly believe the patience this man has. He puts a very noticeable mark on the bottom of the bait and just rolls with the punches. Much respect cause I would’ve cried if I did that.
some how you did it, I watched the whole 39:16 minutes...
Extreme 360 it’s 39:17 mins
Meemoomaster Meemoo they blinked for the last second of the video.
Roman Made uses different density wood to cap the ballast holes on the bottom.
One of the most enjoyable 39 minute videos I've ever watched! Stupendous accuracy and beautiful results. Funny thing - the most expensive baits rarely catch the most fish. I'm a believer in your skills and agree with a few other comments - you could make a buck or two making your own baits. Thanks for the fun.
From start to finish, I'm sure the original makers of this bait did a lot of research in buoyancy and how it moves, but I love your work. You're a jack of many trades! Very impressive!!!
Even my wife watched this thing, so cool, you are extremely talented and patient.
You should actually be proud of yourself that’s really good man
First video of yours I've watched. Wonderful footage and editing, along with your quirky style of deadpan delivery, made for a very enjoyable watch. Subscribed.
Really enjoyed this vid. It actually inspires me to get into carving swimbaits and crankbaits.
You’re the best master baiter I know.
I’m sorry y’all, I’ll show myself out.
Good job nate thing looked amazing in the water👍
You’re so talented bro ! I still can’t believe how slept on your channel is .
Just now seeing this!!!! Looks sooo good in the water!!!
Wow, just... wow. By far this would have to be the best hand crafted fishing bait ever made that I have seen, thanks for sharing this video. Keep up the amazing work that you do and I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.
Your skills are insane!!!!! :)

Phenomenal Video! I accidentally stumbled across this while searching for new swimbaits to add to my arsenal. This was my first time seeing how these baits are built. Amazing Process! Thanks for sharing. Good Stuff!

I was so excited when I saw this post on Instagram yesterday I've been waiting for this video it was already liked before I watched because I know it will be some fire
It swims super well! So pretty!!
Nice save with the lead hole.. And thx for sharing the baking soda +super glue tip ✌
You should make a baby catfish swim bait. I've personally never seen it done, and think you could execute it perfectly.
Edit: or a northern pike.
24:46 actually the exact opposite is true, the mass that is further away from a joint produces the most torque and therefore inertia.
Absolutely beautiful lure. 🤙🏻
Firstly, I was super pumped (after watching the entire video) to see that bait swim so NICE! I'm definitely jealous of this bait lol!
And then...I notice the Browser rod! Being on the team at Savage Gear I immediately blew up with happiness to see this!
22:06 "I swear" by Tyler Childers. You're now my favorite youtuber Marling Baits.
and at 3:30 universal sound by Tyler childers
Baking soda and super glue? Learn something new everyday
I'ts a life saver
You can also use that to repair plastic where you’ve lost a chip out of it.
This is a trick military guys used on helicopter rotors back in the day, whenever there was a chip in the rotor they would lay super glue and baking soda down. It dries a lot harder and almost immediately.
we have a company in germany selling this now... its hilarious, they take 30$ for a small bottle of ca glue and a small bottle of baking soda. i use this since almost 20 years (grandpa told me).
Fine Sawdust works too. Great tip!
You are an incredible dude!! Your crafting skills are freaking INSANE!
Seriously amazing craftsmanship. Awesome video!
Insane! It looks great man! I could see a giant pike smashing it! Great Video!
THICK
Very nicely done! Great to watch and definitely inspiring! Thanks for sharing.
Love your music choices. Always nice to hear someone else listening to Tyler Childers. 👍
Listening to Tyler Childress and making awesome baits. Win, Win!!
Awesome job mate. Carving chisels would make those offset v grooves a lot easier. Placing weight near the hinge allows faster action due to the same reason skaters pull their arms in to spin faster...moving weight near the fulcrum.
Brilliant work! Beautiful lure! I like your shop too! THICK!
I've watched a handful of your videos and it got me hooked I've been making my own lures for about 2 months not only have about 7 hand carved ones so far!

Very nice work.Could you do a very basic video on lure painting?
