    Another great honing video. Now after watching this and the shave video, you have me seriously thinking about buying a Koraat 14 2.0 ! I’ve eyeballed a few Filharmonica 14 razors on EBay, but this sounds like something I would rather buy than take a chance on buying a used ( and expensive) razor that might be flawed . Ulrik's work seems to be extraordinary and something I'd be proud to have.Thanks Jacques.

      Hi Mike, well said and one of the reason I got a Koraat. I know Ulrick is currently closed, not sure when he’ll open again. That said get your order so that it get’s into his queue. You pay when he’s done.

    Your honing skills are next level ! To be very honest I wouldn’t trust anyone with Roxanne besides You! She shaves beautifully and I appreciate you sharing the video and process. Much appreciated

    I have the purist 7/8. I beleive that the Koraats are the best razors who are manufactured today.

      @@dappershaves I haven’t done it proper yet. In fact after watching this video I realise how delicate the bevel is. Let me know when you will have some time and I will send her to you along with my towa 😂

    Great edge refresh Jaques! Been learning a great deal from your honing videos.
    I’ve been looking for a Black “Surgical” Arkansas stone. Any recommendations of a good supplier?
    Good day ahead 👍🏻

      Hi Darcy, wonderful feedback and thank you for the kind words. I personally ONLY buy from Dan’s Whetsones, my black is 8x2x1/2

      @@dappershaves Thanks Jacques…I was leaning that way with as well with Dans Whetstones. I enjoy in particular as they complete the entire process from Quarry to Stone.
      Great to know and will go ahead with them 👍🏻

    10:16 There's still clearly coticule slurry on the blade which gets introduced onto the black ark. Do you not worry about cross contamination?

    • @dappershaves
      @dappershaves  2 роки тому +1

      Hi TWalsh, No cleary that amout does not worry me nor will it have an impact on the end result once done. I appreciate your questions and keen attention to the finer details. Cross contamination is an important consideration and must be carefully managed.
