@@dan4657 Yes sir. Punching power is an accumulation of your legs, butt, abs, and arms of course. Next time when you throw an uppercut or a jab with a pivot, your glutes and legs will tighten to anchor you and handle all that force.
Nah i think people still like canelo regardless of the language he speaks. I mean the guys has some of the most slickest combinations and head movement in todays boxing. Of course people are going to like him. And to top it off Canelo is a humble dude, he never really talks trash but will intimidate opponents when necessary
True. In the UFC I seen fighters who would speak their language but slowly started using English and now speak it pretty fluent, shows a lot actually. It's like moving to another country I would like to learn the language to communicate well.
GGG is awesome. He's easy to root for also. I tried to root for guys like Mayweather but he makes it so hard. I feel like he win fights In a cheap way.
+Caleb Imrie Floyd won the PAC fight hands down .. punch count doesn't matter like you think it does. he's not fighting because he likes being hit. hes fighting for a living. so when fighters are at their peak with fans, that's when he fights them. more hype, more money. I mean. cotto, canelo, marquez, pacquiao, mosley, etc. hes beat more champions than anyone to step in the ring ever. period point blank. you don't have to like it. but respect it
Cheap? It's not cheap. It's just not fun for you because you don't like defensive fighters. No one really other than floyd has successfully pulled his style off. Canelo has tried, and to some extent it worked, but who knows if the guy is cheating or not at this point. Wouldn't even be surprised if this test was a facade to bitch out from the fight like McGregor did recently.
with his technique in punching you need a great deal of core strength because he's power comes from his mid body so he doesn't really do nearly 2000 sit ups a day for aesthetics more for functionality
We get to know a lot about frm here that boxers train to toughen their core with most simple abs exercise by repetitions...there are tons of more effective abs exercises...but defined abs lowers n upper is not what they aim bt strong obliques and and abs that can take a body shot👍👍
That's hard work. A LOT of hard work. (And it was just the freakin' warmup.) Rather than even attempting that I think I will leave my layer of blubber on my stomach and simply delude myself that underneath I DO have abs.
Nobody mentioned bodybuilding. Just because you can be fat and still have power doesn't mean training like an animal wouldn't make you perform better. Training hard would obviously give more power but most importantly would give cardio/endurance that would set you apart from most heavyweights
Apollo 23 conditioning ur body to battle for 12rds is a must, don compare a tegular fighter to james toney, james toney lived like a spartan since he was a teenager, he could ge away with it. as toney got fatter he was only a shell of what he used to be. period.
If you go to any old-school boxing gyms they all do an insane amount of ab work, it's mainly to harden that area so you don't regularly get the wind knocked out of you. The gym I went to in PA would make you do a warm up run then come in and do 4 sets of 25 leg lifts, 4 sets of 25 sit ups, 100 bicycles, 100 kick outs...then on to a 12 round endurance circuit, then you would either hit the bags or spar depending on what day it was
And did he needed abs vs Canelos body shots. Most guys in all division would go down from those, GGG took it like a warrior and gave it back.tough loss 4 ggg.
