    I’m from utuado and remember seeing them rarely as a kid . The last time I was there I heard them in the distance and was mesmerized. Thank you for sharing, it made me homesick for my island though .. 🥲

    The Puerto Rican Amazona Vittata ( Iguaca in Taino language )....is a Green parrot whit Red forehead White rings around the eyes and blue winds tips ) they are only in Rio Abajo Utuado and El Yunke...if you're lucky to see one ( there was a small group introduce to Maricao forest but after Huracain Maria they all were lost according to some information ) the ones you see in the San Juan metropolitan area and in the rest of the Island were introduce by the pet shop in some were in the 60's to the 90's when they were control.( A green parrot whit yellow winds tip that you see all around the Island and not to be confused whit the Amazona Vittata..of Puerto Rico )...back in the 70's there were about only 100 in El Yunke..after Huracain Hugo the population was lower and we almost Lost them...they were introduce to a new area in Rio Abajo Utuado were there numbers grow....having 2 areas in Puerto Rico ( Maricao forest had a small group introduce but after Huracain Irma and Maria they were lost according to some information )....I have the privilege of seeing them in Rio Abajo whit a group of boys Scott ( T-194 )...and a forest baiologest... we were given the opportunity to plant a tree that will give food to the parrot in the area ( hope to see that tree one day whit my son he is over 25 now he was one of the boys Scot there that day ).....

      Hola...Alejandro.....the ones you see in the metropolitan area of San Juan and in the Island are not the Puerto Rican ( Amazona Vittata or Iguana in Taino )...😕.they are only in El Yunke and Rio Abajo Utuado aria ( there was a small group introduce to Maricao forest but in Huracain Maria they all were lost according to some information ).😭...the one you see in San Juan and in all the Island are from the introduction of the pet shop's sale's in the 60's, 70's, 80's and part of the 90's when they were control...( The Amazona Vittata is a Green parrot whit Red forehead, White rings around the eyes and blue winds tips ) and only seeing on wild on Rio Abajo Utuado and El Yunke if you're lucky to see one )..🤔. don't confuse them whit the Green and yellow color winds tip ones you see in The San Juan metropolitan area...and the rest of the Island...😎....hope this clarify your information.

    At 0:52-0:53 there is a whistle-like call. Does anyone know what bird makes that sound? It’s heard a lot in Old San Juan, thanks!

    So you wear ineffective masks outside in the open air, but not in an enclosed car...

    • @andith
      @andith Рік тому

      In the enclosed car nobody uses a mask, it is supposed to be when you are around other people because you do not know who is sick and who is not.
