I like how you have the patience and take the time to put the brewing and the tasting in the same video.
Not many other UA-cam brewers do that. 👍
Thanks mate. I was always left hanging after watching brewers videos so thought it would be nice to see the end result in the same video. Cheers! 🍻
Nice to see you back G 🍻
Cheers mate. Hopefully have a bit more time for videos now. Brewing a bitter this week so will record that one. Cheers. 🍻
Another cracking video mate.
Thanks for watching. Cheers! 🍻
Interesting video. Glad to see you back! I've found pretty much the same thing with extract/ kit brews. They all have that 'extract' taste. The 1 exception I've found is the Get er Brewed Foundation kits. Just did the Kveik kit. I was blown away with how good it was. Would give AG a run for it's money! Definitely worth a shot.
Thanks, hopefully a few more in the pipeline soon. I'll check out the Get er Brewed kits - I've not ordered from those yet. Cheers!
I've enjoyed some Foundation kits from GEB. Just finished a keg of the Kveik kit and I'm going to get it again. It's a great tasting beer that family and friends were impressed by. Did two of their NEIPA kits with great results too.
I'm on the fence about whether I like their Citra Foundation Kit. Don't know what it is that I'm not loving. Could be my fermentation or could be that the hops isn't too my taste?
But their foundation stout was a big fail for me and I won't be getting it again. I got a stuck fermentation so I'd to pitch some extra yeast to get close to FG (I tried rousing it but that didn't really work). That might have been bad luck with yeast, lack of aeration, or the like.
Great video, mate. It looks great in the glass but the perennial problem of how to hide the kit twang remains. Cheers!
Thanks, mate. Yeah I've really noticed the "twang" in this LME in particular. Cheers.
I enjoy your beer reviews. Can I ask what size of stockpot do you use?
Thanks for watching. For extract brews like this I use a 20l pot (cheap off Amazon). I also own a fancy 35l Malt Miller kettle which I use for BIAB. 🍻
