Brian: Takes a sip, gives the glass to Griffin to taste. Griffin: Takes a sip. Glances at beverage to see how much is left. Pulls in the aroma of the drink. Takes another sip. Glances at drink again. Takes a third sip to savor the flavor. Graciously awaits the other hosts to discuss the beverage. Takes a fourth sip. Gives back to Brian. Brian: Takes a small sip and hands the glass back to Griffin. Griffin: Takes another drink as credits roll. That - ladies and gents - is how you special guest on the Modern Rogue!
Side note: I got a hullopillow months ago, and I love it. Not trying to sound like a bot or sell out, but after buying every other pillow on the market I tried this, and I can not go back to any other pillow. So thank you guys for bringing this pillow on to my radar.
I do so love it when Modern rouge has special guests. You add the sitcom guest applause when someone like Trever or Griffon comes in. As for the drink itself, I don't drink but I love the way this looks when it's done.
this is also the way i learned to make this drink. and please please dont use this red plastic bomber where he lost half of the drink while opening this thingy after dry shake ... and final shake. top with orange flower water .... and VERY important dont use too much soda (like here in the video). you can proof that you've done a good job by putting the straw in the middle of the drink ... if the straw stands without moving ... gz good job
Should be half lemon half lime. Also you should prepour half the seltzer into the glass then pour the drink. Finally swirl the other half of the seltzer in the shaker to gather up the foam that sticks and pour that into the middle after it sits for 2 minutes. Then when it foams over the top you should get a column of foam that doesn't spill over the side at all. You should be able to stick a straw in the middle and have it stay upright.
So growing up, the gin fizz I was introduced to was made with gin, Vanilla Ice cream, Orange juice, lemon juice and a sprite, with ice in a blender. Topped with whipped cream
@@KingEhrys98 I *wholeheartedly* agree with this, and see it being their new intro. "Modern Rogue" title card, then "Scoundrel" above an image of Brian, above his name, next to "Gentleman" above an image of Trevor, above his name, next to "Warrior" above an image of Jason, above his name. Either all three together or flash one to the next to the next. In the background, "'Cause I'm a modern rogue!"
I'm guessing, but only just a guess, is there a reason he isn't drinking. Perhaps medication that doesn't allow for it? Maybe something else? Shot in the dark, really.
Oh hell yeah! Got an old North German recipe for grog for you: "Rum mutt, Sucker kann un Water bruuk nich." Translates to "Rum is a must, sugar is optional and water doesn't need to be added". :P (Literal translation would be something like "Rum must, sugar can and water doesn't need to [be in there]".) Obviously meant more as a joke, but the longer the evening lasts, the more truth there is to it ... :D Also, tea grog is a thing here, dunno if that's a thing in the States as well?
@@hansfranz8795 I'm not in the states, but that tea grog does sound interesting. What kind of tea do you use? Black, green, white, herbal, etc. and is it the same ratio of 1 part rum to 4 parts tea/water?
@@739redrose We use black tea, plus sometimes you brew it with star anise. You're using the same ratio you would with water (a typical ratio would be 1:2, but of course that's up to your own taste). Add rock candy, garnish with a slice of lemon.
I’m a big fan of gin, and a gin fizz is probably my number two ordered cocktail. Second to a whiskey sour, I like egg white drinks. I prefer to make my gin fizz with Hendricks. Hope you get to try that.
My recipe is a little different from Trevor's. But i think the most important part is the hand of the bartender making it at the time. Trevor is very talented
It's supposed to be a reverse dry shake. Meaning you shake with ice FIRST. Then strain it out into a shaker, and dry shake it until the foam has the right texture. Should look like a souffle coming out of the top of the glass

If you switch out the cream for orgeat syrup, skip the carbonated water and serve in a coupe with grated nutmeg on top you got yourself a Hotel Georgia. I had some in the bar of the eponymous hotel it was invented in while in Vancouver. Highly recommend both the bar and the cocktail.

@TM Delacrush RT fucking sucks now. What are you on about?
All of this is kinda surreal ina weird little way.
I haven't seen Griffon in a while. I'm really digging that hairstyle.
I'll get the manager for you...
Gin fizz, or "gizz" if you will...wait, no...
Mistakes have been made

I saw Fizzy Gizz. So don't feel bad.
