Very nicely done, sir, & good job cleaning out the outflow channel as well, it's quite handy having a fall that close to throw the debris over. You're one of the many to find a fishing rod in a beaver dam, a pleasant surprise & nice reward, if it can be put back in working condition. Beavers will use anything that's handy for dam building, & I've heard stories of folks finding lost or dumped long guns, fence posts, tent poles, even trim & plastic pieces from cars that are left behind after accidents. I saw a video recently of two young ladies removing a mud & grass dam from a culvert twice this size, & they uncovered a very nice mountain bike in excellent condition.
No idea why ya didn't use a rake, but what a huge undertaking. I knew near the end, that the current would take the mound from the side. Love the power of water, and it did get a bit dangerous for you at the end
Keep doing what you do. You are needed. The earth 🌎 needs men to take care of it. Be well, be blessed 🙌 😇 🙏 ☺ 😊. Thanks to you for doing this good work 👏. 😊
Magnificent, entertaining and stress-relieving work, it's beautiful to see how the same violence of accumulated water helps to disarm those dams, I thank you for such a wonderful show, greetings from Argentina
New subscriber here and much respect to you for your efforts. Especially since you’re the “last stop” before all the debris and trash would get into the Hudson. 🏆🤜🏻🤛🏻
I just discovered your videos. ❤❤❤❤. I wish you could do like two cameras. Split screens. One what you are doing and the other, where the debris is going.
First Time watching your Channel Good Job! would have liked to see a before from outside the dam i.e the Drop Off and the Entrance just to compare at the end! but have Subscribed so maybe in the future! Keep up the Good work!
As much as we love watching dams get cleared, make sure it is only done when it endangers human property. These dams and jams hold up so much water and they keep the soil wet, purifying the water as it sinks through the earth, recharging the groundwater, raising the water table..it's crucial for ecosystems and the habitat! There's a lot more information on how such dams are beneficial to ecology.
Everything I clear has been previously engineered to keep the water at specific heights. These dams cause flooding which can quickly cause dangerous and expensive road safety issues. Thanks for watching!
Great post. most people believe that these dams are just bad. Its incredible how much good they do in the right place for the environment. Im glad this guy knows this.
I was refering to both the dam base in front of the inlet, leaving it ready to be filled in again. Also, was that a step/ lip at the front of the inlet or a long branch clogging the inlet? I don't know if you gave an explanation for it but as much as I love the sound of running water, it almost totally drowned out your commentary.
@@johncoccetti1322 Oh I see, that is a concrete or slate base that was set when the culvert was built. On the inlet side of the stone, there is a gravel base leading up to the stone. It should stay clear for a bit but it's now on my list to check regularly so it'll be fine going forward. I'm also working on adding subtitles to my videos and this one now has the option, hope it helps. Thanks for watching.
@@Grab_your_Waders Thanks for getting back with the explanation. Really love the sound of running water and would hate to lose it, so subtitles would be a great idea. Sue.

Liked the footage, but I don't think that was a beaver dam. From the way it fell apart so easily it looked more like just a clog caused by floating debris.
That last push at the end was so satisfying.
I swear this is my very favorite beaver dam unclogging video I’ve ever seen. Perfection!
Thanks for watching!
Stunning spot
Beautiful Rock culvert! I’m here for the rushing water sound. So calming. Nice video🙏🏼❤️
Super hard work thanks, nice creek in the forest!!!
It sure is!
Great job. Well done. Watching from UK
Thank you very much!
This one's got to be one of the best I've seen.. could have watched that for hours . Thank you
Wow that's awesome and I wish I could use some of that wood for a few walking sticks!
What a beautiful place that is, and great job done!
This was a really good one. The drop off at the end was beautiful.
Being in Florida, I missed the beautiful fall colors!
Just stumbled across your page today. New subscriber!
I am at a loss of words. A beautiful culvert and a awesome job! Well done and keep those videos coming!
This one seems to be a favorite. I think the old handmade culvert and the inside view makes for a nice video.

Very satisfying. Job well done!♡

Thanks for subbing!
Amazing job, and well done! But that drop off had me holding my breath!
The camera made me appear much closer. Thanks for watching.
thanks, that was more enjoyable than that post 10 person, keep up the good work
Wow... !!! My best friend, Great... We liked and enjoyed to the end. Awesome... Full watched. Thanks Have a happy day!
What is astounding to me is the beavers ability to block water with mostly round branches. True engineers..
Wow what a drop off at the end. Glad you were being careful. That would've been really bad. Awesome job 👏 👍
Nice drop off and strong current....better than the other videos I've seen...Nice job.
Glad you liked it!
That was so cool, great job ❤️🇺🇸
BEAUTIFUL scenery! Where are you? And an awesome job too..😆
Great job @Grab your Waders (Grabbers), and well worth the effort, a beautiful office you have ;-)

Before and after shots are nice so we can see the impact. Overall, great video. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching!
@@Grab_your_Waders i would love to see you and @post10 do a collaboration
remember to be careful clearing out from inside, dont need the channel to become Grab Your Canoe. Great job! keep up the good work and content
Can you imagine how long it took to build that culvert? Love old waterways like that
It's one of my favorites.

My guess is that those branches are just too intertwined for using a rake.
The view from where the camera is looks amazing
Excellent job!
Really enjoyed this.
Kudos!

I am enjoying your hard work at restoring water flow. You beat Post 10 with this one in my opinion. Keep up the good work.
Awesome, thank you!

Beautiful site, great job!
Beautiful culvert waterfall, pretty dangerous at the end 👏🏻👏🏻👌👍
That hand made culvert is one of my favorites for sure. Thanks for watching.
Love to see the power of water help with the destruction 😊
Job well done & what a beautiful place x
Great video - thanks for sharing - new to your posts, but love them
Welcome aboard!
Beavers build the dam... old mate tears them down...

Nice work!
Thanks for the visit
Definitely the best dam removal I saw ! Just remove the downward base and water flow does the job! It seems to be somewhat cold, no ?😊
Ty! It was probably abound 55-60 degrees that day. Not bad at all.
That's great job. Just wish you could show the drop off part a few more seconds longer. That was a wonderful view.

Great job indeed. Nothing like the power of water
You got that right!
agréable a regarder, beau travail👍
Absolutely love your content.
Glad you enjoy it!
What a magical place!
That was impressive. The second most impressive part was you only splashed 1 drop on your camera lens!
Good vid very satisfying
@ the end, YIKES!😳😳
WHAT A DROP......
How beautiful ❤
Really cool
Wow
Very cool video
Glad you liked it
Nice. Would have been cool to see that huge waterfall u showed at the end before you took out the beaver damn. But that was really satisfying
The start of the video after this one shows it running after everything dropped back to normal levels.
Great job!
From Australia
Thank you! Cheers!
Gran trabajo,un saludo.
Fantastic! Gratula!!!
One of the beat I have ever seen great work
APPRECIATE IT. 💪🏼
Very good job. 👍👍👏😊😎
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey, ya missed a stick.....oh, 10:39 I see you got it !! 😁
Nice. I'd like doing something like this if there was places to do it locally.
Go for it!
There ya go........clean a a whistle !!
Man, what a torrent ya had goin' there !!
Fun times
Good job so far. Pity you didn't go back to the inlet and finish removing the blockage properly. Sue, mum from Adelaide, South Australia
Not sure what you're referring to, but it was 100% clear.

That was so pretty
Awesome 👏🏾
Thanks for the visit
we get two videos in one we get to see you remove the dam amd also get to listen to the peaceful sounds of the water
I’m wondering why that partial blockage couldn’t be left as it was. After all, the water was still running!

Bendiciones. Perdonen no se Inglés. Pero me gustar ver lo que hacen. Solo les pido usen guantes. Cuiden sus manos.

Where is your rake?
Liked the footage, but I don't think that was a beaver dam. From the way it fell apart so easily it looked more like just a clog caused by floating debris.
Wow pretty
Thank you! 😊
You need a rake
the beavers won't be happy
It would be better if you had another camera on the outside of the Calvert Can you get footage from inside and outside looking in
Nice
Espetacular
I am concerned when working alone.
I would so make a small water mill there to power a turbine :P
it seems to me that dam was shoddily made because you took it apart so easily. the beavers in your area were lazy. 😅
Not lazy. Just lacking mud.
