Economies of scale. BYD sells millions and millions of cars each year to the 1.4 billion car drivers in the world. Play electric bikes, however, do not have such an audience. According to Surron's website, they've sold ~70,000 Light Bee units worldwide. That's a far cry from automobile sales.
Because actuals riders aren’t regular riders or your average everyday riders. Pro riders are in enduro, MX and trials…normal everyday aren’t opening the throttle like that bro
@dangelothompson3649 What?? You make no sense. Actual riders aren't regular riders? So the people who don't know how to ride are the regular riders? Also only people who ride track and competition are the only ones that will open the throttle all the way? Lol sound nutty buddy.
Rawrr was offering an aftermarket replacement lid for the seat that brings it up to level with the seat line. Although I think it should just come with that on future models because the dip in the front is weird when riding it.
The market is getting flooded with some many copy/paste surrons over the past 3 years. Surron, Talaria, Mantis, AdmitJet, Solar E-Clipse, etc... So many companies have taken the Surron frame and just swapped motors, batteries, controllers, and suspension to rebrand as something new. I love seeing the progression, but there has not been much innovation since the original surron launched.
I got to ride a Rawrr Mantis and it was ok. It was bigger than Light Bee and it was pretty zippy and fun to ride. But my modified Light Bee still stomps it.
Had the 60volt one and traded it out. Super great build quality, but even the 72volt leaves one wanting more power, speed, and torque when compared to the others out of the box. With upgrades it can be something good for taller riders.
Ultra bee way to go I have one and it definitely won’t disappoint but the new talaria dragon (their new full-size dirtbike) is coming out but not till late 2024 but it is a little bigger than the ultra bee and has some good specs from what I’ve heard but it’s all still up in the air for now.
There're so many different bikes now that it's somewhat confusing.... lol, I'm looking at these but for a dual sport type of usage but w/ all these types/sizes of electric bikes I'm wondering how each State will rate/classify these? For mopeds it's generally about 50cc's or less that doesn't need Tags/Insurance but w/ these electric bikes it's all up in the air? I'm very interested in how various States will decide? Motor sizes, speeds, weight, or who knows but they'll want to make money so expect it in the near future? Thanks for the review...... peace & GB ALL
Yeah, there are 4 "Commonwealth States" & I lived in one but Penn State is one as well & in those States they tend to be more on top of making the people PAY..... lol, I rode a 49cc moped(Tomos) but it looked like a little motorcycle that had a faring on it. 20" tires made it have good control but outta the box it went like 32mph. I added a muffler & tweaked the thing up to 44 or so. I had lost my DL for 3 yrs & needed this to travel, I expect all States to go after the whole electric 2 wheeled market since there are lots of wrecks & many thefts plus their value is high dollar so they'll force insurance & tags soon. IT's about your money, not your safety so I'm waiting until they make the rules & I'll come in under the rules so I can be as FREE as possible. You be safe & thanks for sharing. peace
THANK YOU TUCKER, I've been eyeing these at POWER HAMAYA IN A place called Sublimity, but the STARK VARG steals the Show, I'm a bit concerned about the Stark Varg, I can see myself riding Day & Night, Hot or Cold, Legal or Not, and then I'd be in the ER, maybe the Morgue? But what a way to Go, LOL....IDK? I'd like to have those stats , How many injured, how many killed having the time of their lives... Count Me IN🌞Out of curiosity, How much is the RAWRR going for?
"Lightweight" yeah your funny it wheighs 160 Pounds and is supposed to be heavy so it feels more like a real dirtbike Also Eco mode has 3 gears with more power in each gear, just press drive to shift up a gear in eco
heavier, lower peak kwh and lower ah battery than the eride pro ss and still the same price. I'll take the eride pro ss. nothing out there that the eride doesnt beat thats not a full size moto.
@@xprtmemes7022 haha my friend got that, its a total rubbish in my books battery doesn’t last as long surron or eride they should remove it for electric bikes 🤙
Looks promising, there is talk that they are going for a DOT approval so it can be registered normally.
What I don't get. How come BYD sells cars for 15K but we have to put 5K for a play electric bike.

the byd dolphin is less than 10k......these bikes are overpriced. they should be 3k max.
I never got why these companies do not ask actual riders what needs improved before pumping them out to the masses.

snoop is a punk
So what’s the best one out of that list
Cops will impound all of em sadly.@@intelligentlystriving8027
Accurate Information. Good video!
That direct mounted rear shock, and odd seating ergonomics kill the whole bike IMO 🤷🏻♂️
What is the point of a 72V battery with only 7,5kw of peak power? My Sting R has 8kw with a stock battery... just wondering
You are not an engineer 😂
Tighter limits on peak draw? Hmm....
Draws less amperage at a higher voltage making controller able to pump out more power at lower amp draw
Don’t buy the rawr tho they are shitty just get ultra bee if u want more power and range
That thang heavy af
Great job on the video Tucker! Thanks for making it.

@@ElectroBikesusa Yes exactly what I was thinking. It's a little more refined and I heard they are trying to get them street legal.
Yeah I test drive Im and in sports mode the front was lifting up!! Think I may get it
Great honest review for real dirt riding. Only thing lacking is comments on the poor range.
I'm still leaning towards to Ultra Bee, but there might be something better before summer.

Check out the P24F controller.
Does this controller work on the Mantis?

I had to register my 49cc Honda ruckus in PA lol. Just ordered a 72v 2024 mantis as well. Wanted a pro s but don’t want to wait forever.

To it looks like the that frame is not up to real off roading. Also the bike they sell now (Summer 2004) comes with a flat seat.

zero thought to suspension kinematics in any of these bikes... it's what turned me off ultra bee

What really is there for surron and talara before you start cutting wires and replacing the motor controller and battery 🤔
