How to create augmented reality from your sketchbook using Artivive

- In this tutorial, I show you how to use an app called Artivie to bring your sketches to life in augmented reality. Basic knowledge of Photoshop and After effects will be needed, but if you have this I will show you some simple and fairly easy steps to bring it to life with Artivive.
First of all, cut out your sketch and make several png layers. Think about three sections that you would like to animate. Once you are happy with the animation, render them out as MP4. Create a colour that is different from the graphics, in my case I choose purple. You will remove this colour in Artivive
Then import them into Artivive. Watch the tutorial for instructions.
Download the image that will need to be recognised, download the app onto your phone and point the camera at the app.

This is great, thank you! How would I apply this technique to a really large area, like a long, horizontal wall of a building? Do you set up multiple trigger images, or one that can be panned/viewed while walking along the wall?

Hi. I haven't tried using it for any large formats, but have seen people doing it with Graffiti art, for example. The best thing to do is trail it out, see what works.

Hi Gary. Have you used the same image that you used to recognise the AR?
@@leonnikoo yes i did, and i'm using HVS paper, is it maybe perhaps because of the paper or perhaps the ink? Because i've watched solution regarding this error and usually it's because of the recognize speed is low (and it's usually because the picture not sharp, contrast,etc), but i also tried to increased the recognize speed, and it's still not recognizable when i print it out :"

The only limit to the applications of this is the limits of imagination….is there a limit of imagination I often wonder?
Can’t one just take a sketch photo, and skip photoshop.
