Linkin park and slipknot. All the humans with depression and anger issues were saved by rock, original 90's rap and metal in general. I love how Mike shinoda managed to piece together gangsta rap and rock with Jay Z. Bloody legends 🤘
A great observation. Their lyrics, power sound, it put into words and sound what so many of us from troubled families have locked inside our heads.
I just wish I knew Chester. He was far from alone, as so many of us have those ugly memories haunting us still. There may be, " a million stars" but there are also a million reasons why we have to strive to live our lives. Serve our purposes. We survived and we must be carrying on because the light inside of us was meant to shine.
Too many monsters here worked hard to destroy us but when we overcome? They are the losers.
A brilliant Professor told me that if good people do not do the work? Only the bad ones will.
Think of all of the bands who became famous selling garbage music. No real substance. Sorry, not sorry but too much of it? I mean Eddie Van Halen played a mean guitar but songs like, Panama? Aerosmiths, Love in an Elevator? Aerosmith offers some good songs but mostly empty. Too much of the hair bands has nothing worth listening to. At least it can be said, GunsNRoses wrote real lyrics and an amazing sound. They joined Metallica in giving us music that matters. Of course, Queen, still rocking, gave us serious music with some comedic flare fun.
Linkin Park's music exposes our weakness, absolutely. It doesn't leave us though in the pits of hell. It is a light shining out there meant to also give us hope and add value to our lives. Few, artists have that collective gift. Linkin Park's music rules among the very best.😊

The chord progressions are super similar but WOW this song sounds completely different. It's really pretty, especially with mike's singing.

I know, right?! His voice is so beautiful.
This gives a huge peak into the creative process. Clearly Mike organized the original idea and arrangement for this song and even recorded the full demo vocals to help the band hear the idea. Mike really was and is a damn production genius. He basically zeroed in on their style and refined it.

My 3 month old woke up for his nightly feed. Perfect timing for these releases. We're listening together. We've recently left a toxic/abusive household and these songs are providing a great deal of comfort. Thank you, LP. My heart is with you always. You saved my life before as a teen, and now, you give me the feeling of life again.

Escuchen lo que les voy a decir: Mike recuperó esta canción y la grabó recientemente con la banda. Que lujo.
Las demos de Linkin Park son increibles , sea demo o la version final oficial , ambas versiones son geniales.
Parecen versiones descafeinadas, hasta que le encuentras el gusto y la situación a la que aplican. Cuando haces ese descubrimiento desearías que fuesen bandas sonoras de películas incluso.
Amo que Linkin Park suena como debería ser la música en la actualidad (en lugar de lo que tenemos hoy)

The audio paired with the stunning visuals totally melts my mind. The song is so familiar and yet so completely different. It's like listening to "From the Inside" from a parallel universe. A truly surreal experience!
