Visit Austria (Tirol) - Tyrol Travel Guide to Alpbachtal Video Transcript:
Today we’re showing you around one of the most picturesque corners in all of Austria: the Alpbachtal Valley located in Tyrol. This was our first time visiting Austria and I don’t think we could have chosen a better place to start. While we only had 3 days in this region, we managed to pack lots of time in the mountains, sample the local cuisine and befriend more than one cow along the way. The following is our mini-travel guide to Alpbachtal:
After getting settled into our farmhouse it was time for lunch and boy were we hungry. We drove to Brandenberg where we ate at Kaiserhaus, a restaurant and guesthouse tucked out in nature.
Tyrolean Food at Kaiserhaus Gasthof - Seeing as this was our first day in Tyrol, we wanted to sample some Tyrolean food including gamey meats and noodle dishes.
Hiking the Kaiserklamm - This was a really nice walk that followed the course of the river and took us over a series of bridges and tunnels. We sure enjoyed the scenery.
After that we returned back to our town of Reith im Alpbachtal, where we had some more hearty Tyrolean food and listened to a bit of live music.
On day 2, we lucked out with clear blue skies, so after having breakfast in our farmhouse, we drove to the town of Alpbach. Here we got quick e-biking lesson, and set off to tackle the Alps in style.
It wasn’t long before we left the town behind and found ourselves in the middle of nature. We rode up valleys, over streams, through forests, and tackled some pretty steep inclines along the way, but as you can see, the scenery was stunning.
We drove to the nearby village of Kramsach, where we stopped off for - you guessed it - more food! We were famished after all that biking, and we didn’t hold back. We plopped ourselves down at Rohrerhof, where we proceeded to order cappuccinos, massive dessert platters and schnapps. The next attraction: the Tyrolean Farmhouse Museum,
Gondola ride to Wiedersbergerhorn - After a leisurely walk and enjoying the impressive views, something else caught our attention - a mountaintop restaurant with an outdoor terrace!
Almatrieb Cows Come Home Parade - By noon, the festivities were in full swing. But it wasn’t all about cows. There were also craft demonstrations, food stalls, and lots of bands playing for jovial crowds who created their own dance floors.
That sums up our trip to the Alpbachtal Valley in Tyrol - cows, mountains and a whole bunch of delicious food. See you next time in Vienna (Wien).
This is part of our Travel in Austria video series showcasing Austrian food, Austrian culture and Austrian cuisine.

Thanks Manpreet! Just loved it there.

Stunning scenery, beautifully filmed. I think anyone who sees this video will just want to drop everything and book a ticket to Austria. Electric bikes sound like a brilliant idea for this terrain, I think I would be doing plenty of walking without it.
Thank you very much! I would definitely recommend e-biking. It is a wonderful way to take in the scenery and explore some of the smaller villages and biking paths.
I took German language classes in high school. Our textbook had dialogues we had to practice where people talked about Tirol! Fun to finally see it. Great video.
That is really cool to hear Jen! It is such a beautiful area.
I love how ecxited and happy Samuel seems to be.
Thank you! We had so much fun on that trip.

Lovely reminder of our visit to Alpbach 14 years ago....and as a someone who learned German at school over 50 years ago (!), I think your German pronunciation, Audrey, is outstanding.
Thank you very much! Any plans to revisit again soon?
Have visited Austria 16 times, but my health prevents me from travelling abroad at present (awaiting heart surgery). Maybe one day!
That area looks wonderful you have really highlighted all the good things Austria has to offer a tourist.

mares traveling - Tyrol seems very nice. Some time ago I found out that during the early 19 century, people from Tyrol at the time of the Austro-Hungarian empire migrated to Peru. They founded there own community in the province of Oxapampa in Peru. Swabians from Germany also migrated to Oxapampa. Even though its in the tropics it kind of looks like Tyrol, cows and all. - ua-cam.com/video/dSNFhCrQraQ/v-deo.html - This shows young people aged from 13 to 19 preserving the culture - ua-cam.com/video/8c5Ee0flfq4/v-deo.htmlm10s
I got a fever....and it needs more COWBELL...Lol!! Once again great job, guys...I can't visit there or even Switzerland on the Bernina Express.
Thanks! It was a great experience.
Such a pretty and informative video!
Thank you very much!
Excellent. We love you videos
Thank you!
I was planning to visit Alpbach (from Innsbruck) only to pay my respects to Erwin Schrödinger, but after watching your video and depending on how things go, I might stay a little longer. Love that Almabtrieb: the cows are dressed in their "Sunday finest", and they all look well cared and well fed.
Great video. I want to go to the cow parade!
Thanks! Would highly recommend it :)
Amazing! I really want to go there now.
Thank you! Would highly recommend it if you get the chance :)

Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos Thank You!
Hi! Amazing Tyrol..May I know where were you stay at Tyrol ?I mean the farm house?
Dumpling in gravy is similar to US biscuit and gravy- yum😄👏🏻🥰💚
Such a great combo!
Almabtrieb is not Festival. This is done everywhere in the alps.
It is about to use these areas in summer.
The huts were not made for the tourists, but every year more people enjoy it.
This was done for hundrets of years.
The best meat and cheese is produced there.
The people are so proud of it, that they even decorate the cows.
When you walk around you see it, these cows have a happy natural life.
This meat is in accordance with life, how it should be.
thanks for letting us know
great video and good information. Can i find information center if i get there
Thank you! I think there is one but I don't recall going there. Sorry for not knowing better.
Tirol is so beautiful. Are you going to also visit Vienna or Salzburg? The food in Vienna is to die for...

Thank you very much! We visited in late September which is a nice time to be there with the fall colors.
Great video you r one of my favorite. Blogger's ty
Ah, thank you! That means a lot to us :)
Great video! What is that pastry at 14:36? Looks like a fried empanada!
Similar to an empanada but deep-fried and stuffed with potato :)
Congratulations. You've tried fresh mountain-spring-water in the Austrian Alps. Now you cannot enjoy water in other parts of the world anymore. Welcome to Austria.
And never underestimate the sun in the alps. Even in winter you'll see lots of people sitting in the sunwithout a shirt on. some even falling asleep getting a horrible sunburn.
UV-Rays are a lot stronger on the mountains than they are in the valley. I felt sorry for you not running around with shades all the time. My eyes usually suffer a lot in the mountains.
Thank you! The natural water was incredible and that is a very good tip regarding burning. A good idea to apply plenty of sunscreen.
I love your videos.
Thank you very much!
Please Visit my hometown Salzburg too btw Alpbachtal (Alpcreekvalley) is only one of 100 of places of tyrol who look stunning. You guys were lucky with the weather in 1800m the weather conditions change very fast and there can be very rough thunderstorms and winds up to 200 km/h
Thank you! We'd love to go to Salzburg. Oh, that would be a dream next trip to Austria for us :)
Can i post a link to a short travell guide video of Salzburg? Letting you know what is awaiting you there...
Cool adventure!
Thanks! We had a great time :)
thnx
Nice video guys. What was your travel date?
nice place
Thanks! It sure was!
Increíble video. Audrey excelente tu español! En que mes fueron? El clima parecía espectacular
Muchas gracias Melissa!
My wife and I are going to Austria in late October, do you know if it's possible to do those activities in the last week of October aswell?
Yeah, the weather would be a bit cooler but still reasonable I'd imagine.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos thank you!
👍
Thank you!
Hi! What's the name of the chalet or place where can we find to book in? Thank you
It's called Ferienhaus Weberhof: www.ferienhaus-weberhof.at/
@@samuelandaudrey thanks so much for your reply❤ take care :)
Do you edit your audio at all? It sounds pretty good actually!
We adjust levels like change the volume, fade in and fade out but we don't create any of it. You can see the artist we selected at the bottom of our description under every video.
Entertaining :)
Thank you!
What is the name of the chalet where you guys stayed?? It's really nice.
Wanna to visit austriaaaa
Cool! Hope you an soon.
i come from austria

I am not sure if you have been to the Jungfrau region of Switzerland. If you have, what is the major differences between lets say Wengen and Alpbach?
Oh, we haven't been there before. Hope to visit someday.
Me and my Husband plan a road trip around Austria. We would like to rent a car ofcourse. A small Polo car.. What would it be costing us?
Whish i was there never been to austria but have a few friends here in sa who are Austrain German they are from Namibia they have a huge German population so thats why so many Germans.
Oh, that is cool to hear! Would recommend visiting if you get the chance :)
¿Wath place of Tyrol is that? Cause im searching to live in the mountains and that place like me a lot
Cool to hear! It is Alpbachtal.
Will I need a jackert or sweater in July? A
I noticed a young lady smoking in the first restaurant ,,, is that still ok in Austria ? I would not have thought so in a Euro Union country. I just notice all that stuff since I gave up almost 8 years ago ... BTW .. I hope Sam lashed out and bought you some lederhosen , just for those special times ;-)
Smoking is considerably cooler in Europe we've noticed than in many other countries these days. Ah, we're saving up for that ;) Gotta both get us dressed up.
Why would Sam buy Audrey Lederhosen?? Men wear Lederhosen!!! I'm sure Sam is not weird like that!
Would get a dirndl for Audrey ;)
that special evening ... ;-)
actually its not allowed to smoke in Restaurants or Public closed Buildings... but yeah, austria is a Country of Smokers^^
Omg , are you guys from Canada?
Thanks Dida! We are! I'm from Vancouver Island and Audrey was born in Montreal. How about you?
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos that’s awesome. I born and raised in Saudi Arabia. Parents from somaila. Moved to Toronto 2008
Guys, talk about prices please. Thanks!
Thanks! We'll make a better effort next time.
Mujhe bhi Austria jaana hai.
Zipfer Märzen? best choice!
Hey Sam and Audrey, could u pls lemme know the name of the hotel u stayed in?
The School of Life.
In what way?
İs this wörgl?
No. Wörgl is the shithole of Tyrol. Very ugly city.
Could I ask a personal question? I’m seriously thinking of going on a month long traveling vacation this early fall to Austria, and Finland and Denmark, if I were to travel like you 2 approximately how much money would I need, ballpark range? Thankyou
Per person
Those cows=Today's royalty, tomorrow's burgers.
That looks like zakopane in poland
Woah! Just looked it up and it does look similar and spectacular.
Spaetzle is a.dough.noodle....pinched off a board into boiling water with a flat spatula
Thanks Marc! Just love it.
You're a lovely couple and fun to watch. Are you also having some petty arguments just like any other? It's a silly question :)
Thanks! Hahaha...we fight quite a bit off-camera considering we're together 24/7 but the good thing is that we get along most of the time.
Thanks for that wonderful reply. BTW I'm a Filipino (from the Philippines, of course) who has been working here in Saudi Arabia for almost 20 yrs now. I'm inviting you to visit the Philippines but for Saudi Arabia...go somewhere else ha!ha!ha!
Thanks! It has been our dream for a while now to visit the Philippines. I hope we can make that happen soon :) Do you get to go home for trips often?
Yes, I'm entitled to a 1-1/2 month vacation every year. In the Philippines, I could recommend Palawan, Batanes, and the Mountain Province . For food, we also have a lot of strange/exotic food like in Thailand.
3 days is nowhere near enough for a single valley in Tirol, let alone the whole of Tirol!!! A week per valley and you will still miss things
Totally agree with you.
i am from tyrol
Hi, thanks for your video,
I am Portuguese and in August I will stay two nights in Tirol I really liked the chalet (room where they stayed is quite traditional).
Could you give me a link so I can stay in the same place?
Very grateful
How quick do you have to be .. 7 bloody minutes and I'm still second ...
Hahaha...congrats on being 2nd! Been some quick comments of late ;)
wait for my next ... hahahah
Just saw it! Ha!
I didn’t see Heidi around
;
PARA QUE QUIEREESSS LA CAMA SAM JAJAJAJAJ SLEEPINGG A FULLLLLLL JAJAJAJAJAJAJA AUDREEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYY
ıam voiting yes so great
Ich liebe Tirol und die Berge. Im Winter geht es für meine Freundin und mich auch endlich in den Urlaub Kronplatz. www.winklerhotels.com/
My favorite parts were anything without Audrey.
?
Worst part of the vid. Watching Audrey absolutely kill a Weizen Beer. Aiaiaiai......
Hahahaha! Indeed.
Surprisingly you drunk a "Zipfer " what is uncommon for Tirol because its a beer made in Upper Austria btw I am Ausrian
My family is forcing me to go with them to Tirol, Austria... i realy dont want to go :(
Hope it turns out better than you expected.
Finally someone who can properly pronounce a German khhhhh. It's Bach, not Back 😂🔪
Ah, thanks! Audrey can speak a little German :)
I have wheels for my wheelchair that does that
P a r a di se platz wirlich leben nicht spass ich libe dich tirol
You have no clue what serious exercise is though...
Lots of wasted words on the obvious. Severely boring and lacking in informational content. Pity, about the real beauty of this region.
Pity!
why did you have only 3 days? you could have done a week and make a better video. also most of your video is about you making faces enjoying a food or so. so the whole video could have been 2 minutes long...
That's all the time we had for that particular trip. Well our channel is about food and travel so we include both.
Can’t ,like watch, like not like liking the like trendyness of like the hosts.
?
