Robert would’ve killed Jon because he’s a Targaryen. Prince Rhaegar Targaryen “stole” Lyanna Stark, Robert swore to kill every Targaryen because from he’s perspective they killed the woman he loved.
Tormund is wild and easily one of the best characters in the show 🤣

Bran Is Brandon Stark. Bronn was Tyrian's sell sword friend who tried to teach Jaime to fight with his left hand.

They're done with the series and have never figured out the difference between Bran and Bronn. Pointing it out now is futile.
@@chrisbolliger5717 and this is why I won't be able to watch any others of their reactions. I'm only finishing this series because I started, but I just can't stop myself from saying his name correctly everytime they say it wrong. Cersei, too.
Don't forget Asia repeatedly calling Jon , Robb.
They're both so likeable.....but listening to them call Bran, Bronn drives me crazy. People have been telling them since Season 7 but it never stuck. Playing Devil's Advocate for a minute, there are so many names, houses and places. Plus they're recording a reaction so their focus isn't 100% . It's irritating but forgivable.

Jaime has a great character transformation, but I think Theon's is better. He was a prick in the beginning, betrayed Rob, took over Winterfell, then became a shell of himself courtesy of Ramsay, then saved Sansa which started his redemption. I can't wait to watch episode 3 with you guys!
i think if ramsey was still alive he probably would have been an asset in the fight against the dead. if they could make him side with john, gotta figure he had the mind for war with his planning. then again as sick as he was he probably would of made friends with the dead lol

"It's all downhill from here" is actually a saying that means "it's about to get easier." think about it, uphill is way harder. But I always use it the wrong way so I don't blame anyone for saying it incorrectly as well.
People definitely use it in both a positive and negative way. Also, where you're from might hold sway over your personal interpretation.
It does make sense that " downhill" means the hard work is over and things will now be easier.
But those of us who use it in a "negative" way (myself included) associate climbing uphill to a peak or your personal peak in life. It's hard work and challenging but we're constantly striving to be on top. So, to us, the opposite, which is downhill means that your rise, or your peak is over and you're leaving that challenge unsuccessful, or a loser (winners remain on top and they do everything possible to stay there. They don't want to "head downhill). We also associate "downhill" with the saying "It all went south from there" which also has a negative connotation. So, it makes sense that a lot of us associate going south and going down hill as a failure.
*Sorry, I don't mean to come off as a "Know it-all" . I was an English major and I love these types of discussions.
That's Brandon (or Bran), not Brohn. Brohn fought as Tyrian's champion and taught Jamie how to sword fight with his left hand.
everyone forgot Theon was a really good marksman with a bow and good warrior. Being at Winterfell under Ned Stark, Theon honed his skills. and its such a dichotomy of saving the world with politics interfering.
Also that Theon was the one the who shot the wildling with the knife to Bran's throat, in season 1. Robb got mad at him, but Theon saved him then and wanted to protect him in the end. Well, he did owe him for taking Winterfell and all.

Aegon V, (Aegon the Unlikely) had four kids: Duncan, Jaehaerys II, an unknown who probably died as a child, and Rhaelle.
Jaehaerys II married his sister Rhaelle
Rhaelle was also mother to Steffon Baratheon who was father of Robert, Stannis and Renley Baratheon; Grandmother to Robert.
Rhaelle married her uncle Aerys II (Mad King) and gave birth to Raegar, Viserys and Daenerys.
So they are all kissing cousins related; brothers and sisters, uncles and nieces, aunts and nephews.
My favorite scene in the whole series is when Jamie knights Brianne.

The sacrificial symbol is actually the sigil of the Tygerians. The 3 dragons woven in a circle. I believe the Ice King might be a Tygerian.

Episode 2 is one of my fav of the series. All of those great characters in one place , at the time never knew which ones would survive.
IMO Jamie is the most complex and BEST character in GOT. First you don't like him, then you hate him, then you feel sorry for him, and then you love him so much you hope he doesn't die. If any ONE character could explain why the GOT series is as good as it is it would be Jamie.😎😎😎
Either the land smushed itself up or every method of travel moves 10 times faster than it has before bc everything travels way too fast in season 7 and 8.
I also like how hardly anyone paid attention to the fact that the crypt is FULL OF DEAD BODIES, so it's probably a horrible place to hide from an ARMY OF DEAD BODIES.
Just now noticing Jamie and Bran came face to face in the 1st episode of the first AND last season of the show. WOW full circle moment
The entire last season is a circle back to the first season, to remind you there’s a complete story (pay-off) here, if you’ve been paying attention.

Season 8 was the worst and yes I am one of those fans who was massively nay epically disappointed with how they just effed everything up because he hadn't finished winds of winter!
I mean after reading 6 books and hanging on for 8 seasons it was a tad stingy when they shite on us all from the height of a Dragon looking for a snack!
Really enjoyed re-watching this whole show again with you two, you have both been great, and for me two of the best episodes are yet to come, starting next up with the long night.

Make sure you adjust your tv settings to “sport” so you can see what’s going on in the battle. We didn’t know that until after we watched the episode in near darkness.
The next episode is gonna be so good! That scene where Briene gets made a knight is one of the best scenes in the show. Such a nice feel good moment right before the Long Night.

Thanks for the reaction. We're getting close to the end. I'm really curious how you will enjoy it. I didn't read the books (yet) - and there possibly will never be the complete saga. GRR Martin won't finish it. The valley with Daenerys and Jon flying their Dragons was shot in Iceland in the Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon. A magical spot. Worth visiting.
Always felt bad for Sam here, finding out about his brothers and fathers fate. But I don't like much how the handled "Bronn" in Season 8 (and to some parts season 7). Imo, in many scenes in season 8 he just is acting against the character he was in the past 6-7 seasons - even more ruthless, cold-hearted. Before he had some heart in his core. But that's a writers/directors problem and not the actors (Jerome Flynn is great...and an amazing singer btw).

Ned was the only person who knew that the Targaryen and Starks were blood relatives. He protected his family against Robert, by refusing to be involved with the murder of Daenerys

2 days ago I saw you posted this. I've been watching all your earlier reactions to catch up and up to mid season 5. Fun watching you experience GoT and seen a lot of other movie reacts you do!
Technically, Sam forfeited over his rights to claim the Tarley name, lands, and titles. He was the oldest and his brother was younger. So when Sam took the black, oath of the night's watch, he gave all that up. He also was sent to the Citadel to become the new night's watch Maestor. Maestor's also forfeit their titles, lands, and family names...and serve other houses. So Sam actually got the "double whammy" of not being able to claim his family's lordship. So most likely his mother would take over as Lady of Horn Hill. Another lord would most likely try to marry her to gain more lands and wealth. And if she did remarry and did not have a son to be heir, then Sam's sister would be next in line and again some lord would try to marry her as well. If her family hasn't already made a deal to marry her to someone already.
What I love about the North is the people will easily forgive. That's why Jon would make a great king. Dany isn't like that.

If you looking to do movies. I'd recommend "the inside man" and King Arthur. Both by Clive Owen and Denzel Washington is in "the inside man". King Arthur also has a killer cast.
A Dragon puts its first rider to the test until the rider can control him.
There are some wiiiild character arcs in this show. Jaime is certainly one of them. Theon is also a real roller coaster... Sandor Clegane, the Hound, also has had quite the journey.
The crypt... Think about it, someone is coming over who can raise the dead to fight for him. The crypt may not be the safest place in Winterfell.

Hey guys, I love we get so much dragon fun. Id love to take an exhilarating ride. "The things we do for love" Epic......Hahaha, I know that anticipation at the end gets sky high. I agree every character has grown so much since the beginning. Be prepared once its over ur not going to know what to do with urself, u'll feel lost for a bit and miss all the characters. I am FEELING coming to the end of this journey with you... Almost started to literally cry at the beginning, realizing this little adventure is coming to an end. It's been years since I've seen GoT (though I had a later start, than many), and having this refresh has been truly wonderful.
I'm very picky about my shows. Another show where we learn and grow through characters and start to love hated characters is Suits. That show really surprised me!

The next episode is pretty dark so y'all might want to turn the brightness on your TV up a little to see a little better
People talk a lot about Jamie's character transforming and I just don't see that. We only see one side of Jamie early on, then they let us in in more of his inner turmoil as we go along. Jamie hasn't changed, we have because we understand him more. Jamie was always a guy who respected honor and wished his circumstances were different in that regard, but 8 seasons in that guy would still push a kid out of a window.
