The Arylic B50 is the cheapest product I have seen to date that offers HDMI ARC. Yes, its another little class D amp but I feel like this HDMI feature is really interesting. Large companies have mentioned they left out HDMI in some of their premium products as it would add too much to the price, I think we now know that is false....
Please consider giving a thumbs up and subscribe, let's grow this channel together! A couple thoughts: Isn't it interesting that a lot of manufacturers tell us they cant add HDMI because of costs yet we are seeing it in a product under 150 dollars? What's another feature you would like to see offered in more products today?
New law of audio. Everything has to have VU meters. LOL
Hahaha meters or nothing!
Really glad that they’re starting to make affordable ARC amps like this
Agreed, about time really.
Outstanding as always Matt. I got a B50 and love it. It's currently going head-to-head against an SMSL A300 to be my desktop amp of choice. Thank you and keep up the great work.
Sounds like a fun comparison. I just noticed you can run those A300’s in a monoblock configuration.
so what's your conclusion?
Finally the review I've been waiting for. I ordered B50 few days ago. I think the feature set is just amazing! It 100% fits my personal needs (typically for someone who wants 2.0 (or 2.1 !) soundbar alternative). I was looking for something versatile with HDMI ARC. This really is. There are really not that many of them in the market right now. I had a 10+ years old stereo DENON amp. It's been amazing, however many time it was just turned off because it needed to be turned off and on separately of TV (you know)... ARC solves this. I personally don't miss the streaming platform that much together with this amp, but I fully agree if it was there it might have been the TOP! Only hope that audio quality is "ok enough". Thanks! Cheers....
Certainly a lot of features jammed in this one, soundbar alternative is spot on especially for those that already have some passive speakers laying around. Hope you enjoy it!
I do enjoy your calm, thoughtful videos. I have leraned much from them even though I have been a HI Fi guy since 1975.
Thanks! Appreciate the message. Have a good one Mike.
Great review. You mentioned the amp chip as being the ACM 3129a. Are there any specs available for that chip? Some of the other reviews mention that power is a little lacking. I guess a work around for the lack of power would be to use ACP workbench to reduce the lower bass being sent to the stereo channels and compensate with the sub-woofer output. In my opinion the ACP DSP is the standout feature of this amp as it allows the sound of your system to be tuned precisely.
Great Vid, thanks. If I connect this thing via ARC to my TV while also having 2 speakers connected... After switching everything OFF with the toggle switch of my socket and then turning it on again, is the ARC-connection still active? Want to "set it and forget it". Just turn everything off/on via toggle switch, use my TV remote and never have to deal with the amp again. Is that possible?
Great review. I just bought LG OLED C3 TV and I would like to use my yamaha active speakers (2.1 setup). The new TV doesn't have analog output so I was looking for a way to connect TV hdmi eARC to my active speakers. Do you think this device would work considering it's an amplifier also?
Arylic is apparently integrating last year's technology, using chips much cheaper that the latest model.
This is smart because that older tech still provide value. This product is not for Atmos users, so eARC would be useless.
I am thinking of buying the BP50 (preamp). The weak point might be the DAC (I doubt I would hear the difference), but the digital output might provide an upgrade path, assuming that it does not bypass the real value of this equipment: the extensive set of preamp features.
This should really just be a dac/preamp instead of having the built in speaker amp. I’d buy it in a heartbeat. I hope wiim makes a new Wiim pro with hdmi arc. It’d be the perfect device.
yeah...I dont disagree there, I wouldn't mind this.
I use mine with a Wiim mini, a pair of Kef q150s, and a Kc62 sub. For a bedroom 2.1 setup I think it's awesome.
I like that combo, how do you like that mini powerhouse, the Kc62
Thank you very much Matt...! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
No problem! Appreciate the watch.
Hi Matt, thanks for the great review. I have a question and would appreciate it if you or someone else could answer it. Is it possible to connect the TV to the B50 via Optical and then connect the soundbar to the B50 via HDMI eARC to output the sound to the soundbar? I know I could connect it directly, but I just want to connect all the devices to the B50 so sound could go out to soundbar.
Ah, man. No line outs! With the software add on for the EQ, this sounds like it could have been a killer pre-amp!
Yeah line outs would really be something, we did get the hdmi arc though so it’s definitely moving in the right direction.
I have a jvc tv with hdmi ten years old with a Firestick Amazon 4K can I use this device as a dac. And amp and use the arylic to do the volume and on and off switching so I don’t have to use two remotes
Wish they'd remove the amp & reduce the price & just make it a hdmi arc & bt ldac receiver/transmitter & (optional - keep the sub out & maybe preamp)
completely agree, pre amp would be perfect
Hello, I bought the Arylic B50. And no matter what I do, I notice a whooshing noise that only occurs as soon as I play sound through whatever input source. Can anyone help?
Amazing review.
Thanks!
Is this the only Chi-Fi so far that offers the ARC functionality ? I wish to replace my parents sound bar, but I need something that responds to the TV's commands.
I think I may need more wattage over numerous other features.
It is currently, arylic offers 2 amps with arc and 1 pre amp
Awesome device!
I think so too, especially for the price.
Is it real bass management? Hi pass/ low pass
Good find! And the price? I about fell over, 139 on the Arylic site. Too bad it did not have a line out for an external amp.

Hey Matt, currently thinking about buying this over my Sabaj A4 because I Kinda miss the ARC - since I am overall satisfied with the Sound of the A4, is it comparable (or maybe even better) than the A4?
I haven’t had in that Sabaj so it wouldn’t be fair to comment but I totally understand the HDMI
Automagicly? 😂
Sometimes a little automagic is all that you need
Shame aesthetically it’s less appealing than the A50+
That A50+ did have a look, your right there.
