Oh man, when he disappeared into the earth I thought he dug down to get some gold for his friend- to pay him the money he owes.
You could've paid him back collecting all the tiny gold particles from underneath the earth and formed a Nugget.
Wow I can only imagine how difficult that would be... and how long that would take but I could see that working.
I JB If you can make a pillar rise from the ground to the top of a skyscraper, you can probably manage gathering some gold particles.

I think it still takes time to move through the earth underground. Also, you would probably have to come up for air every minute or so.
