B Gill It's funny when the Medbots respond like that with no argument. I'm a fan of figure skate. Show me where i'm wrong and then i'm going to cheer for her, meanwhile... she's just a joke

Wow, she's a gem. I don't really like how they've been inflating her scores these past competitions, but forgetting about that for now, you can see that she's an amazing young woman. I hope the change in coach will be like a whole new exciting journey for her. I think she made a very brave and smart decision. I'm sure (certainly hoping) that Brian will bring to attention the things the judges have been ignoring. I'll be looking out for her next season. Hope she will reach her true maximum potential with Brian.

Can we just acknowledge that she's only 18? It's incredibly hard for most 18 year olds to have this endurance, maturity, and commitment to anything that they do, let alone go to the olympics, and give an interview in another language.

Hannah G Well, we can't ignore her backloading and overscoring though. I think Alina is better technically speaking, but they're both good.

    • @laughysophie8818

Hannah G Flutzgenia has poor technique on *all* of her jumps not just her lutz just putting that out there.

True. Injury wasn't a reason for Evgenia's "failure" since she skated three clean skates in Pyeongchang

Never like how her scores were inflated but really love how she doesn't let the scores define her and still wants to make improvements. Also really admire her to have the intelligence and courage to know it's time to make changes. Gotta support my fellow kpop and anime fangirl~ Can't wait to se her shine with her own voice.

Can people stop saying she has bad techniques overall just because of her flutz and pre-rotation on her toe jumps and ignore her best sides? She's better at edge jumps than toe jumps.
She flutz, I never deny that. She uses full-blade to take off her toe jumps (but so does Alina). She managed to limit her pre-rotation of her 3F and 3Lz to more or less 90 degrees (in the Olympics), her 3T is still bad and should have received "

    • @alexanderbakulin8836

lol. carolina and yuzuru don't even have all of the jumps. carolina, for example , not landed a single 3Lz in international competitions last season

alexander bakulin This person is talking about technique. I don’t know about Carolina, but it’s very apparent that Yuzuru has one of the best jumping technique out there, if not the best.

      Kojo Baidoo
according to who? to his crazy fans? his technique is certainly far away from perfect and not the best out there. i can name 5 skaters at least for every jump, quad or triple, with better technique than yuzuru's (well, except a 4Lo)

    • @hongngocole5691
      @hongngocole5691 6 років тому +14

Eriniya He used to jump 3F with a slight outside. Now his 3F is textbook. The correct flip edge is slight inside (about 5 degrees), not a deep inside edge. You should see the ISU simulation for flip jump. There’s nothing wrong with Yuzuru’s 3F at the moment (not before the 2011-2012 season)

"I just didn't know what I should to do, but I did this choice." I love that! It's a wrong verb form followed by the wrong verb, but the meaning is clear, there is an obvious logic to it (as to why she would think it should be phrased that way), and it's really cute. If you're going to say it wrong, say it wrong the right way, and this is definitely the right way to say it wrong! She's adorable. :)

They both are friends on the ground, rivals on ice but Alina beat Evgenia this year so I'd like to see if Evgenia could turn the table after changing coach. This should be interesting.

Her english is amazing! She has such a lovely accent as well! I’m so excited to see what she brings next season, I know there will defs be an adjustment period for her as she settles into having a new coach and living in an entirely different country, but I know we’ll see great things. And I believe the new rule changes will work in her favour as well.
She was so sweet in this interview! It’s funny how relatable she seems considering the fact that she’s literally a two time silver Olympic medalist, not to mention all her other achievements within figure skating. She’s lasted longer than a lot of the other Russian ladies, and I really really hope she continues to stick around and go further in her skating (as for her future career, there’s no doubt she has options once she eventually retires).
I’m just really happy for her, and I hope that these new changes in her life also bring her happiness!

So proud of her, Ive had the pleasure of watching her since juniors and seeing her grow and skate has been a treat. Glad she is finally gonna do something about her problams in her technique, very brave bold choice 💕 Having errors in your technique is a normal thing, nobody is perfect but actually doing something about it...even when the judges for some reason dont call you out on it is very admirable of her, amazed and proud of her! Super excited to see her improve over these next few seasons in the lead up to the Olympics 💕 She will need to go back to basics and start all over again but honestly, seeing Med do a fully rotated jump or an outsise edge on the lutz will be an amazind day for both us and for her. Go Evgenia! 💖

Karina Almeida if she works hard shes going to learn the technique in her time with orser, and i think shes ready for it, i hope he fix her wrong triples and her pre rotations, but anyways evgenia medvedeva is an artist

    • @karinaalmeida9734

Felipe Peron she has already said that she will not be out for a season, it's irrational to think that just bc she's going to train with Brian that everything will work out, Orser doesn't work miracles. There's no sense in her wasting time on something basic while the juniors are beasts. If she start jumping using the correct technique she will fall, she will lose the consistency that the Medbots love talk about to defende her. Muscle memory is no joke

Karina Almeida i didnt said she was going to leave this season and i know muscle memory is the worst but brian already said they will work on her flutz, and the beasts juniors are going to become seniors in 2 years and until there their knees will be dust because eteri is crazy enough to make anna shcherbakova and alexandra trusova jump quads

LOL come on, If you want to seem as a "real opinion/nonfake just hater" at least try. Ultimately, if she falls, she falls. It's part of learning. But she's not obeying her haters. She's changing her whole life, I'd say that's a dead giveaway she's down to do what has to be done, and if that means giving up the consistency, so be it. We, her fans are also down with whatever she choses and along for the ride not only when she wins.
People who want her out are funny because, let alone spend time on Evgenia videos when they don't like her in the first place, but they have a foot on each side of wishful thinking: they push for the idea that she can't improve because she's 18 (while having testimony of plenty of amazing skaters who were all adults when they accomplished their biggest results and also changed techniche), but at the same time you don't want her to try. So, lay back and enjoy the ride. Cheer when she doesn't succeed (I know you'll be there, it's your time and your bile), and whine when she does (know we both will be there.)

I do think she made a right choice to change coach. Her technique, especially Lutz was not consistent under Eteri. If she did not made the change, she will not go far. Brian Orser have been a strict coach with great technique - just look at Yuna, Javi & Yuzu. Looking forward to her improvement.

I think it’s going to be hard for Eteri as well. From her expressions she cares for her a lot...I can almost say she was her favorite even over Alina

Женя, ты умная и мудрая девушка, сделала верный выбор. С Этери ты бы уже завершила карьеру, и не факт, что завершила бы будучи здоровой. Только вперед к своей мечте!

Dora Dunkan,
