Hey Cam, hey Mississippi Man, I just wanted to say that I believe every word the man said and I also believe that these creatures live all along the Mississippi and the other river bottoms that feed into the Mississippi. I am pretty sure that there are a lot of places where not many people have the will or desire to go that far into. I myself was a hunter that learned how to hunt exactly the same way from my father. I had to convince my Dad when he was in his late 60s to quit hunting like that any more and I had to promise that I would go with him when he wanteed to go hunting if he expected me to keep him from going in the woods by himself any more. This happened because he got that old and he went too far into the Atchafalaya Basin one day and had to spend the night in the middle of that swamp until I finally found him at 4am. He has since passed but now I am 67 and I can't go into the woods by myself any more because my son has done the same with me. I want to tell the guy that sent this story that I believe that these creatures have pushed out some of the other cryptids that are here but not all. There are some of the Squatches over here that are way too big to be pushed out and I believe I have come across places where there was a desperate struggle by what I would only describe as giants. There have been places in the very deep woods where there was a 150-200 ft circle that looked like bulldozers were fighting, every tree and bush in the area was just either knocked down or broken off and scattered. There was blood everywhere but no bodies. I do not go back that far any more.

When I was a 10 year old boy back in 1957 hunting with my great uncle, we ran upon a place in the woods for about 40 yards long that looked like it was torn apart by a small tornado, my uncle said that probably a Booger had a hissy fit or fight-- of course he was always talking about the Boogie Man will get you if you stay out late at night. He was a Logger, Hunter and Commercial Fisherman and lived in the woods right on the bank of Cache River. He had worked in Big logging camps in Oregon and Washington when he was a younger man and had seen some strange creatures in those Big Woods so he said. I know these Creatures exist as I have Researched them for over 20 years here on the Miss. River where I live. Dogman is Bred in Labs. by the Black Ops. Military Complex as part of a Super Soldier Project--according to one Black Ops. Swat Soldier, thousands have been released in the woods of America and other Countries. They are a Result of Gene Splicing-Man and Dog. They are Trained/Programmed not to kill Humans and Livestock and have Tracer Electronics-Communication devices implanted in their bodies. Problem is they Breed in the Wild and their Offspring are not Trained and many go Rogue and kill humans and livestock--when this happens a Game Warden, Park Ranger, Sheriff or some Official will call a Special No. and this Black Ops. Swat Soldier will be called out to hunt down and kill the Rogue Creature--normally they will Airlift via a Helicopter the animal--- it is a Dangerous Occupation but Pays Good thus there are always Soldiers available...

in a facebook group I am a member of another member asked about dogman sightings in and around her home state of Louisiana -- I shared this one with her -- spent some time with some Cajun folk around Lake Charles they use the words Rougarou and loup-garou interchangeably if some one were to see a big hairy thing in the swamp ... I was asking about bigfoot specifically and they replied with loup-garou with anecdotes and jokes nothing serious to them --- I then asked about Rougarou and their demeanor changed -- no more smiles and jokes this was a thing of nightmares for them -- I believe it was after hurricane Audrey in 57 the patriarch of the family was telling me and many folk were down in the bayous were lost that the survivors went out trying to recover bodies and he said that he came up to a big cypress and about 25 feet he saw one of these things sitting on a branch eating the body of a child ( looked to him like a little girl maybe 10 years old ) he said he reached for his rifle and shot that thing 3 times with a 35 winchester -- he said you could see the impact as the each thud caused water to spray off the things body -- after the third shot it looked the guy full in the face and growled and then went right back to eating now licking its lips making the sight more gruesome -- he said he "hauled ass" out of there but went back the next day -- said the thing had taken one of the child's thigh bones and jammed it hard into the base of the tree and hung the torso ( stripped clean of flesh ) and child's head ( untouched so one could clearly see her face ) hung on it for him to find --made it very clear to me that these things are cold hearted evil calculating monsters not animals. 30 years had passed since this now old man had seen this and when he was telling it to me he became pale with tears in his eyes

The area he is talking about is a known dogman gathering area . Some even claim that this is dogman town . It is their land and those who have grown up there never go out at night . I have never seen this phenomenon but have heard multiple stories about this place . There is a story of two linemen having to sit in their buckets overnight as they were surrounded by at lrast 10 of them . The linemen were trying to energize the power lines after a storm in the 90's This is one of the best and maybe the scariest story you have told Cam thanks for sharing this gentleman's experience To the gentleman that had this happen to you isn't every day a little sweeter knowing what you survived . Now that you have released this story from that deep hidden place in your psyche you will gain peace for yourself . No one here will criticize you brother you can breathe easier knowing you are believed . One piece of advice for you is that the reason they do guffaw and ask you if you are crazy . They are so afraid that it is true and if they can dismiss it because they want to make fun of you then they have that false sense of relief . To hear my tail go back to marathon 31 the Honey Island swamp monster It starts at the 19 minute mark . Take care brother you are not the only one . Cam life has been much simpler since you told of my encounter .

It seems obvious to me from that and other accounts involving game wardens and other law and military personnel that the government (or at least someone in the government) knows of these things, what they are and their origins. I can only say that this man describes a hunter’s worst nightmare. Especially a bow hunter. The story brings up the stories of David Paulides, author of 411 and the high number of missing experienced bow hunters that go missing without a trace. Not that this incident is the kind of predator that would remove all evidence by any means, but that it appears that people are encountering strange beast more than ever, and the fact that he is just getting it off of his chest after 20 years seems to be an MO that reoccurs Times s time again.
Having had a audible encounter 43 years ago that started as a chimpanzee going on the warpath, but ended as a hyena laugh was unnerving enough for my 29 year old brain. I can totally relate to ha reaction. I did the same thing for over 30 years until I retired and began to find that i was nothing special in the world that I thought that I knew so well.

Great encounter story, and well written. What i believe is, when a feeding animal suddenly stops and is still, that is the time to not move a muscle and to NOT stare at the beast. They KNOW when they're being watched... so much more so than we do. We've dulled our senses quite a bit. Look away and only monitor awareness of it out of the peripheral vision. When it goes back to feeding, then move slowly and only glance at the beast from time to time.
Many years ago, I was putting a stalk onto an Alaskan Moose, and had learned about the "stare" previously. I was walking a frozen slough and the moose was up on the bank, in the willows. I watched where I was stepping and only glanced at the animal. Once I was ready to shoot, I raised my rifle and began to stare at it through the scope. The moose's head turned and looked right at my scope. My crosshairs were on the neck and I squeezed the trigger. My point... that animal KNEW... the moment I began to stare at it and turned its head right at me. I believe many hunting opportunities are lost because we spend too much time staring at the animal, and trigger the flight/fight response when it senses danger.
I can't even imagine the emotions flooding through as that sight was beheld. Good on him for not giving up on hunting altogether. Any warden worth his salt KNOWS what's in his assigned area, or, knows OF what's there. I don't know that I would've had the where-with-all to follow that beast, with only a bow. Thank you for sharing the encounter.

That fits the description of a classic Dogman. My oldest sister said, she saw a very strange dog-like thing on the side of the road near Jacksboro, TN, many years ago. She said, it had a short face and very large ears. She also said it wanted to attack her jeep. The body was mostly grey in color but it had many black small spots all over it. This happen near a field of sheep and some woods near by. True story no need for me or her to lie.

The combination of great writing, riveting content & Cams sweet southern drawl of a narration made for a perfect story. I think I'd have night terrors for years had I experienced anything like that. Way good thing that cryptid already had his supper in front of him. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if most of these other Cryptids (other than Sasquatch) weren't the results of some black project military/mad scientist attempts at genetically combining or re engineering experiments gone awry. Whew! that was a mouthful!

Good story, Cam! It's in the same area as the story I related to you a couple of years ago. My experience was at Blue Lake in Arkansas, which is an old run of the Mississippi River, similar to Horseshoe Lake but just a couple of miles north. I think most people have no idea how remote and untraveled that area is, despite the fact that it's no more than 10 miles from downtown Memphis. The President's Island story you shared a couple of years ago is from the same general area, although on the east bank of the river. Clearly there is some kind of phenomena there. Keep it up!

@@dalecarter923 I've pointed out one of his contradictions in one of his latest videos. I think its 'Ep 43 with the Agent Q&A' Check it out- It's a contradiction on the 'werewolf'- "William" said on a far earlier episode that it runs poorly on all fours yet is the fastest of the 'Big 3.' Doesn't make sense- Under that analogy, a 'werewolf' can run bipedal faster than a Dogman who by the way is swift like the wind on all fours, and not much smaller than said 'werewolves'

That was a good story Cam. Really creepy, and I wonder why the game wardens almost always deny knowledge of anything as they grill the citizens as to what they know. That kind of behavior just makes them look untrustworthy and on the wrong side of what we all know as right behavior. Why won't at least one of them acknowledge that there's something out there maybe they can't find nor catch and that they're not quite sure what it is. If they actually said that to a citizen then at least the citizen that saw whatever it was would have his/her feelings and suspicions validated and it wouldn't mess with their heads so much throughout their lives. I've heard many stories you've told where seeing something out there really seemed to mess with their heads for the next 20-30+ years and they've carried that with them throughout their lives. And all it would have taken to lessen so much stress and self doubt, would be for a park ranger to do the right thing and at least acknowledge that there's something unidentified and probably dangerous out there... So if someone reads this that is a park ranger of some sort, do the right thing. Just acknowledge to the person asking you about it, that there's something out there. With your experience and sense you can tell if someone is asking because they've seen something or someone just out for a drive looking for Bigfoot, etc. And if you're worried about being quoted later on, just deny you said anything. But do the right thing first of all. Like my Momma used to say, "it's never too late to do the right thing!"
    Rant over.
