I have been eating like a monk for four decades. I put on my robe, turn on Gregorian Chants, and I eat in a cave a made by putting bed sheets over my table
Love your way of explaining it. People also see food as fun/ an necessary evil you have to deal with..and not as fuel and treat their body like a dumpster. You should treat your body like a holy temple.
Perfectly explained and on point. I am mostly a monk too when it comes to eating, once or twice a week i eat something different and really tasty with friends but every other meal i focus on cheap, simple and nutritious food. I also expand the way of the monk on other aspects on my life and it works wonders for pursuing my purpose and objectives
Love it! I have a quite similar approach in other areas as well. I aim to live as minimalistic as possible for example. By the way have you read the book called 'Essentialism'? Heavily recommend it.
Food 🍽️ for a fulfilling moment with pleasure but beneficial for your health!!!!! Fuel is important but food doesn't have to be boring or bland. Pleasure in eating is important *but health fuel benefits of nourishment*

Oh so you know how to speak Portuguese. I thought you were in Holland. I try to think in your way but sometimes I really need popcorn or chips. That's why I try to have here in my house only whole food plant based. But when I go to a restaurant, is more difficult.
Um pouco! My main base is Switzerland, but currently escaping the cold winter a bit! And good to hear you're focusing more on whole food plant based! Well done.
@@wellhellotherekyle Well health is different than performance, which weight gain/muscle gain is a part of. 5 foods come to mind regarding health: 1. Potatoes (carb-based staple of your diet, good for lunch & dinner) 2. Oats (carb-based staple of your diet, nice breakfast) 3. Brown rice (carb-based staple of your diet, nice lunch/dinner) 4. Broccoli/Kale (good veggie option for lunch/dinner) 5. Berries (As snacks, very high in antioxidans. I'd also look into antioxidant rich beverages, such as green tea or hibiscus tea. Beans and tofu should be added to get some additional protein in terms of weight gain. Regarding weight gain, the easiest thing to implement would simply be 2-3 smoothies per day (2x300ml). That should spike up your calories and can add a decent amount of nutrition as well.

Yes, food is FUEL for one's body. Feels good when one treats one's body like a temple. :-)

Perfect brogher❤
What exactly do you order at the Japanese restaurant each day?
Fried chicken
If you were to recommend five foods I should be eating what would they be?
Good question. That depends on your goals. You mean for health? For muscle growth? Or weight loss?
@@florianwueest I would say for health more than anything, but I've also always struggled to gain weight so that would be a nice bonus.
