The only thing I didn't like about Lucifer is how they made his true devil appearance Look just.. I don't know.. Ugly.. now I know some would say that is what the devil would be.. ugly and evil.. but in my opinion the devil is supposed to beautiful and charming more then any Angel and that's where the temptation of the devil comes from. But again it's probably the more fantasy type version of me wanting a more epic looking devil.
His true appearance is not ugly. The devil appearance is how he sees himself. It’s his own self loathing that makes him self actualize that appearance. It is why God asks to him….This is how you really see yourself? It is when he forgives himself that the appearance fades away. He really is the beautiful angel that it is written about him. The irony of the story is that he is the captain of hell. The warden of all the souls that are in the exact same position of himself…incapable of forgiving themselves for the darkness that have brought into the world. It is why once a soul forgives themselves, they are worthy of paradise….Like Lucifer at the end of the series.
