Thank you for much for sharing this information. I got graduated last month as med Aesthetician incl laser and electrolysis tech. This Monday is my first day in my salon.
Just found your channel and I am so excited to start my career as an esthetician! Just passed my state board exams and am waiting on that license! Love all of the wonderful advice as I am also pretty young (20) so your videos have really given me a lot of confidence!
im so glad I found your page. these tips and advice are really helping. I also watched your previous video about books, podcasts and videos to watch to improve our knowledge in this field and I managed to find the "Skincare Bible" book in my neighbourhood library. so happy I got it, i skimmed through it a bit and i love it. once again thank you so much!
Comparing myself to others is something I always fought with. I always want to be the best do the best. Of course there is always someone better out there but it also comes with experience.
This advice is appreciated thank you Emma ... you are amazing I just started following you and your energy is so welcoming not to many people have this 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Just found your channel and I absolutely love your videos! These tips were amazing and super helpful :) I’d love to hear more about the process of getting a job as an esthetician. How to prepare for your interviews, what kind of questions they ask or have asked you, your physical appearance (appropriate attire, makeup, hair) and how you should present yourself the day of your interview ✨💛
I know this doesn't apply to you, but it reminded me of a concern I have. I do have fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots, etc. Have you seen your colleagues struggle to get/keep clients because their skin isn't flawless?
I start school Dec 1 2020, at age 59 I have always wanted to do this, I am kinda worried being older, but very confident I will be successful.. but still on one hand scared to death.
Thank you sm!! I’m 17 and I just graduated school and this helped a lot!! I’m gonna go to laser school too and I’m super excited. I just have one question. We’re you nervous about state board and taking your exam? I’m so nervous and I would be really appreciate your advice.
It’s really interesting that you keep referring to your clients as “patients”.. very indicative of the subtype you’re servicing. I work at an Aveda salon/spa and the language is very much encouraged to call them “guests”. Kinda funny how we’re trained to categorize our clientele.
@@winterrbabyyy oh, I totally get it! I was just commenting on the differences in language in different esthetician settings. We’re all so different and I love that we have so much diversity within our industry.

If you are referring to the state board to become an Esthetician, HELL YES! lol I was very nervous. To becoming a laser tech, there is no state board.
Great tips!
Great video!
How is a regular esthetician different from a medical one? Great video!
FlyWithHannaAlice medical I think can do Botox and all that
Can i be a laser tech cert. with my cosmetologist license ?

It’s bc she’s a medical (a)esthetician so she’s technically right in saying patients I think.

Do you have to go into cosmetology school to be able to move on to esthetician school? Or can you just go straight into esthetician school?
I went straight to esthetician school
Yu can work on skin as a cosmo without going for esthetician
Unless you are in a medical spa, they are called clients.... but I enjoyed your video
What’s on your lips!? Gorgeous!
Thank you! It's actually just Aquaphor haha. I have naturally pink lips!
