I just lost my marbels there. I live in Elsinore / Denmark, near Kronborg, wich was one of the landmarks on the 800s tour across the intire country. I live in Frederikshavn and I was at Frederikshavn Naval Base the day they were doing the parade flight, clear weather made it perfect to see Dannebrog painted across that beautiful F-16AMLU.
Awesome build and great idea with the flag. I have question about the Apex airbrush. Do you think it is a better or equal airbrush to the Infinty?
I haven't try the 0.2 needle on the Apex so I cannot have a fair opinion
On the wider nozzle 0.35 apex similar to 0.4 nozzle of infinity no difference
Again the Apec is £80 the infinity £200
Apex is a solid airbrush ro start and keep
It also depends what you are usually paint
@@PerisModels Thank you for your answer. I own the Infinty and and the H & S Ultra. I use the Infinty with a 0,2 and 0,15mm and the Ultra with a 0,4mm needle. The Infinity is a great Airbrush and I really like it. The Ultra is ok. The only point what I do not like, especially at the Ultra with the 0,4mm needle is the trigger. It is really hard to dose the amount of paint. I heard that the Apex is pretty easy in use at that point.

How did you create the bird slicers on the nose? .10 ?
I just used plastic card cut in thin strips
I really like the bird. One of my favorite paint jobs on a jet. And an awesome idea with the danish flag as a display base. THUMBS UP!!

Great finished model! Well done. Clearly there was some paint bleed/soft edges from some of the masks (they were visible), but they weren't visible in the finished model. How did you address that? You didn't show in the video how you fixed those issues.

By the way - one day the Russians came close to our borders with their planes. Denmark send up 2 f-16 to escort them away. The one of the F-16s was this one. You could say, we showed the reds the red-flag! :0) The Danish flag called Dannebrog is 800 years old, and that is the story behind the painting of the plane and the 800 mark on the tail!

What did you put inside the engine exhaust to slide the plane on the acrylic rod?

The rod diameter was close to the exhaust

Absolutely stunning looking air-frame. So in keeping with the theme how about one of Singapore Air Force's F-16 Black Knights. By the way, in reality how long did the build actually take?

It usually takes me 2 months as I only model Friday and Saturday nights for 2 to 3 hours
The Black Knights are the RSAF F-16 Demonstration Team. I was lucky enough to meet them and get to see two of their a/c perform at the 2015 Australian Airshow in 2015.

Very nice build. Can I ask though, if you used the nose cone from a Tamiya kit, what happened to the rest of the Tamiya kit?
I have a few spares as I used the eduard nose cone on the tamiya one with the radar

Yes I buy the rod straight and place it in the oven in low temperature and then bend
Alternatively you can use a heat gun

Wow. The paint for the base was amazing. By just putting a bit of black made it look like folds of the flag. The F-16 is a favorite of mine. This build is spectacular. Thank you for the video.
