    Silver bullet was mainly burngullow to Irvine often double 37’s into the 90’s.

    47 430 was at Stirling on 23/8/86. It was on a Branch Line Society Scottish railtour. Thus is the south end if the station.

    Hi dave the line to stranraer harbour had class25/26/27/37/40/47 Diesel electric locomotives on it in the 1980s on boat trains to London euston day/night sleeper train and Carlisle and mk1 sealink livery trains to Glasgow central the class156 dmus took over must stranraer harbour services in October 1988 the London euston sleeper train ended in 1992 freight trains ended with the of speedlink services mate

      The Mallaig train used to be a mix of MK1 MK2 and the occasional oil tanker or two. It was the last mixed formation service in the uk
